Jung Ah was woken up by someone tapping on her shoulders. She had thought it was Nana but when she opened her eyes, the sight of a man in his late 30s, wearing a white coat with rubber gloves on one of his hands surprised her.    "Yes?" her voice was shaky and rather hoarse   "Sorry to wake you up. Are you Park Ji Young's family member?"   "Yes, I'm her wife."   The doctor gasped a little upon hearing that. What's new? It wasn't an everyday thing to have a lesbian patient. And that patient has two lovely duaghters too.   "So how do I address you?" asked the doctor   "Just call me Ms Kim. Doctor, how's Ji Young?"   "Ms Kim, it would be best if we could talk about this in my office. Don't worry about your daughters. I'll ask the nurses to keep a close eye on them."   Jung Ah merely nodded, grabbed her handbag and followed the doctor to his office.   "Coffee, tea or water?"   "Coffee please."   "Please make yourself comfortable first while I ask the nurse to get you a drink."   How stupid. Jung Ah thought. How could she make herself comfortable when she doesn't even know what's wrong with her Ji Young.    A nurse came and gave Jung Ah her cup of coffee. Jung Ah merely gave her a small, weak smile and thanked her.    "Ms Kim, as you should have known, Ms Park was involved in an accident a few hours ago. There are a few good and bad news. However I need you to be calm." the doctor said   "Go on."   "Ms Park has suffered severe injuries and damages to her skull and brain. She's currently in a coma. Her chances of survival is only 50%. We have tried our best to make sure that she could still hang on and Ms Park is a really strong lady. It is rare for someone who has been this badly injured to even survive." the doctor explained   Jung Ah was already sobbing, "Is there anything else?"   "Ms Kim, due to the several damages to her brain, Ms Park will not be able to remember a lot of things. She might even forget her loved ones. However it is helpful if you could talk to Ms Park while she is in a coma. Keep her updated with things, tell her who you are so that maybe she wakes up, she could remember her loved ones again."   Jung Ah couldn't take it anymore. She broke down. Knowing the fact that Kahi only has 50% chances of living killed her. And even if Kahi were to wake up, there's a possibility Kahi might not be able to even recognize her or Bekah and Nana.   How was she going to explain it to her daughters? That their appa might die anytime, that their appa might forget who they are when she wakes up.   "Ms Kim, please be strong. My team and I will try our best to save Ms Park. You can visit Ms Park in three hours time. She will be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The nurse will give you further details later."   Jung Ah bowed, thanked the doctor and went out of his office.   *   Three dreadful and long hours passed.
