When I said the luck wasn’t on my side, everything got worst.

I was soaked on a downpour, running down straight to the complex. I went up to our apartment, took my wallet to get my door card, but no, I don’t have it. Dad will take another hour to arrive since his work is overtime these days. The first solution I thought was to go to the landlord and borrow the spare key. I went down to the landlord’s office and there was a not saying “Dinner break, will be back in 2 hours”

As soaked and cold as I was, I had no choice but to wait for dad, I went down to the complex’s lobby and waited, I took a nap to at least have a little sleep. My clothes were dried by the AC when dad arrived

“What are you doing here?”

“I forgot my door card”

“Aigoo, sorry I was a bit late, there was a road accident due to heavy rain”

“It’s okay dad”

We both went up, I felt like hugging the heater when we got in. I took a warm shower, changing into my pyjamas and studying for an hour before going to bed. I felt cold in the middle of the night and wrapped my blanket around me like a cocoon. It got too cold, maybe dad turned the AC on? But I felt like my body couldn’t bother standing up anytime soon so I just wrapped myself on my fluffy blue blanket.

“Cheol, breakfast time” dad knocked, I stood up and felt a bit dizzy, standing up too quick after waking up is so annoying.

The whole breakfast, I was staring at nothing and felt my eyes getting heavier. I was so sleepy, like I need to sleep a whole year to satisfy this sleepiness. I took a warm shower, making me sleepier, but I had to go to school since today was the try-outs

“Good morning Cheol hyung” Jihoon greeted me by the gate, walking with me.

“Morning” I yawned

“Sleepy?” he asked me, I just nodded.

The first thing I did was bury my face on my crossed arms and sleep off the subjects.

-POV of Jeonghan-

There was something off of him today, I have known him for almost 18 years and something is just off today. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Jisoo squeezed my hand, I looked at him with a smile and he suddenly pecked my lips, making me blush, some of our classmates who saw, they cooed teasingly.

The kiss was strange.

It wasn’t those soft plump lips I used to adore.

It just felt off

Everything felt off.

“Jeonghan to earth, babe are you okay?” Jisoo asked me, I nodded and cupped his cheeks, assuring him

“Just a bit sleepy but I’m fine baby”

“Anyway, Cheol teaxted me last night that he has soccer try-outs today and can’t make it to the coffee shop so it’s just us baby”

“And Jihoon?”

“Jihoon is busy with his club, we need to work hard later” he stretched his arms, hugging me.

“You have Seungcheol’s number?”

“Of course, I’m responsible of him, I added him on our Kakao gc” he smiled, I pulled my phone out to check.
