It was 8pm already. Y/N was waiting till late in the library studying for her finals. She was tired after a long day and finally decided on heading home.

Y/N was walking along with her bicycle down the street by the shortcut to her home to avoid the bumpy ride. The street was quiet and the only sounds she could hear were of her own footsteps and the leaves dancing on the beats the air produced.

The lights were dim and the atmosphere was kind of unusual, so she tried to distract herself by humming few of her favourite songs. This kind of peace was short lived though and it soon shattered into commotion.

 Y/N heard loud footsteps running towards her direction. She turned  to look around, only to find a gang following a guy in a black hoodie.

“Why does he look so familiar?,” she asks herself.

As they get closer, she then realises that the black hooded guy is non other than Kim Taehyung. And before she could even recognise his face properly, he swiftly holds her bicycles handles and gets on it while telling her to hurry. Y/N finally regains her senses and in fear, does exactly what she had been asked to do. Taehyung goes ahead as quickly as possible while promptly looking behind at the goons and making derp faces while muttering swear words. Y/N, on the other hand, is completely dumbfounded but annoyed at the same time. (Partly because of the swear words). After what felt like forever, Taehyung finally left the goons behind and parked the cycle in the mid of the road.

Suddenly it was quiet again like when after a storm, the water is still again. Y/N's heart beat was loud enough for Taehyung to hear. She got on her feet and looked at him in annoyance.

“Where are we?” she asked. Taehyung got down too and said, “Don’t worry it’s not that far away from your home.”

“How do you know where I live?,” Y/N immediately asks, her suspicion growing every second.

But he keeps his silence leading to her suspicion to grow even more. After about a minute, he finally breaks his silence.

“Jungkook lives nearby and I’ve seen you while I was hanging out with my squad… Why? What did you think?” He asks with a very obvious smirk on his face.

Embarrassed, she ignores his question.

“By the way, you’re supposed to say thank you,” she interrogates “I saved you twice, at least be thankful.”

Taehyung looks at her, completely taken aback. Guess he didn’t know this girl could back answer. “*coughs* Well, you didn’t exactly save me, it's because of how quick I was.”

At the obviously stupid reply, Y/N couldn’t help but breakdown into a sarcastic laughing marathon. By now he must have realised how contradicting she actually is to what he had previously thought of her.

Annoyed and embarrassed, Taehyung couldn’t help but ask, “What’s so funny?”

Y/N sighs. She had expected a genuine thank you but the only thing she got in return was questions and more and more of them.

“Why do you always get yourself in trouble, Taehyung?”

Upon hearing that, the tall guy gasps (over acting at max) “Nerds know my name too? Sh*t! Jin Hyung was totally right when he said I was popular among girls.”

Y/N couldn’t help but judge him even more. With a disgusted look on her face, she finally dares to say what she had always wanted to say,

“You’re just gonna make your parents upset.”

The big grin on his face now disappears. This leads to another awkward silence. Taehyung, though, is quick to realise that.

“Parents?,” he mumbles to himself. A sad smile appears on his face. “Miss Y/N, why don’t you do yourself a favour and mind your own business? Hmm?"

Y/N’s eyes widen at the sudden change in Taehyung’s tone and before she could even talk back, Taehyung strides away, leaving her dumbfounded in the middle of the street.
