Final

Ever since the day their moms found out about them, congratulatory message never ceased in coming, phone calls, emails, sms, letters from friends and families with a follow up on when will the wedding ceremony take place.  Words indeed travel fast, some were shock given that Yonghwa was supposed to marry someone else and Joohyun didn’t really pose as someone who is in a relationship. As what they were afraid of people will talk but that was about it. They are in no mood to defend their actions. And in the first place, why should they? Jenny is well on her way to being a bride to be again to a French designer she met during Paris Fashion Week. She even sent an invitation to Joohyun and Yonghwa. The wedding will be held at Chateau Belle Epoque in France and it will be around Joohyuns due date. The couple sent their merry wishes instead and promised to see her and her husband after.

The dads were not as ecstatic as the moms since they expect so much more from a big time financial adviser and a doctor, let alone a bunch of 34 year-olds but it’s not as if they can ask the two to sit in the corner and think about what they have done. They will be parents themselves soon and will just let fate teach them lessons. The moms offered to stay with them during the weekend to help out with the moving with the dads in tow and since their parents already know, might as well let his bestfriend know so Jonghyun and Yoona will be helping as well.

Joohyun is standing in their kitchen holding a big empty bowl when Yonghwa found her

“Hon you have to stop eating” he leaned on the marble counter and looked at his wife

Joohyun ignored him and continued preparing the popcorn to heat in the microwave

“Hon” he called her out again

She huffed “I know! But how in the world can you watch Nightmare on Elm Street without popcorn? Do you actually now how excruciating that is?”

He chuckled “What are you on replay? That’s exactly what you said on your second trip here earlier! “How can you watch Freddie vs. Jason without popcorn?”” imitating her voice

“It’s true!” she defended herself

“And you have to stop watching these kinds of movies! You would either have a heart attack or give birth whichever would come first”

“Yeobo, let me just enjoy my extra day off huh? This weekend will be chaotic, common, you have to let me live!”

He shooked his head and smiled “You’re a goner, I won’t even be surprise if uri agi starts to growl once outside your womb”

“Why would she growl?”

“Ah you finished Werewolf boy 1,2 and 3 last night” raising his left brow

She rolled her eyes then grinned when the microwave beep “Let’s eat!”. Rubbing her hands together she carefully took out the now puffed popcorn bag out

“Hot!Hot!Hot!Hot!” she chanted as she hop from one foot to another

“You know you can use the pot holders”

She blew on her hands and held both her earlobes “I forgot!!!!” she replied seething in between her teeth

At times like these, he can only laugh. And so he did as he went around the counter to help his wife. She excitedly looked on as he emptied the popcorn bag into the bowl. She inhaled the steam

“I love butter and cheese” closing her eyes to savor the smell. He popped some in his mouth and grabbed his wife’s hand leading her back to the living room. There were only a few things left that’s not inside the box. They settled in another lazy afternoon in front of their flat screen when they heard their front door bell ring

Yonghwa’s brow knitted “are you expecting something?” he looked at Joohyun as he stood up to check

She mirrored her husband’s face as she digs deep in her brain if she is expecting someone or something, nothing came out “Nope”. She looked at him as he spoke through the speaker then moved to open the front door. A number of voices floated and in a few seconds a few mean came in setting down things.  She plopped her head on top of the sofa to peer at the merchandise, there were lot’s of them. She heard her husband thank the men who delivered the items and that’s when she stood up to inspect.

Joohyun frowned as Yonghwa approached her “What’s this?”

He rubbed his nape  and shook his head in disbelief “These dear wife are baby things from our mothers”

“Huh?”

“Yup, the crib is by the doorway”

“Crib? Seriously?” she walked towards the said location of their house and there, still in a big box ready to be assembled is the crib “What the hell?”

Since they knew that the immense excitement of their mothers about the baby will go overboard, they made it clear that they will be the ones to shop for everything the baby needs, they can come with them but it’ll be them who will decide what to buy, they wanted to keep the expenses to a minimum since they will be moving in to a bigger house and they will be getting a new family car. They have more than enough money but that doesn’t mean they will spend all of it. Joohyun’s eye were as big as the saucers when she saw that there was also a dresser.

“Hon, did you see dresser? The baby table?”

He was standing in the middle of everything hands on his waist, he blew a lung full of air “do we call them?”

She chuckled in disbelief “Yeah, I guess, might as well tell them that despite going against our wishes,  these are all appreciated” She scanned the things when her eyes fell on a big light brown teddy with a pink ribbon. She slowly bent a little to pick it up and ran her fingers on it till she found the tag

“$45 dollars for tuff toy?!” she screeched while she rubbed her big belly to calm down “Who buys that?! That’s already our meal budget for the day!”

Yonghwa laughed “Really?” he reached out and checked the price tag and whistled, he look at the other things and found them all still with price tags “I think you just continue watching I’ll set everything aside” too late

“What the actualy !?” She was looking at the price tags form the toys, to the clothes. She found a full bag of cloth diaper which was $15 each. That’s when she noticed that all clothes were not just market clothes, they are from popular stores, from Baby Gap to Baby Guess, OshKosh to Carter’s she even found an Infant Rachels dress in Liberty Phoebe Magenta for $200. She held it up in Yonghwas face
