Taemin asked Jongin casually as they stood from above the balcony, watching the scene below.
However, there was no response in return. One could only assume that the young Kim heir had fallen in love deeply with the Han daughter, as he continued staring at her. That wasn't the case, though.
Han Suzy was indeed beautiful.
But the one he was looking for wasn't her. Taemin couldn't help but grin a little as he saw a little pout appear on his friend.
Han Yuna was a top candidate when it came to becoming the fiancé of the top ten families.
The main reason was that she was the only biological daughter of the Han bloodline.
All because of a promise from long ago, their family always has such a traditional way of thinking.
Like his, the rest of the nine families emphasized keeping promises and not dishonoring the family name.
And it was said that the Han family had done great deeds of helping the big ten families by building their fortunes. So the big ten was indebted to their family greatly.
If he wasn't gay, Han Yuna would have probably been on the top list of his parents and grandparents list of a daughter in laws too.
She was a lucky girl.
Without even having to try, Yuna won the lottery ticket in life and future.
Just who on earth wouldn't want to marry into one of the top ten families?
Apparently, there was one and that person was also Han Yuna.
From what he had heard, their family had been trying to set her up with their family for years.
Even when they were little, all the girls would be fawn over them. Being the big ten only make them more desirable. No one would ever dare talk back to them or go against them.
But when the big ten arranged in Omiai, what had happened could only be described as hell.
Not only would the heiress refuse to get in her dress whatsoever, but she also throws a tantrum and refused to meet any of his friends.
And when a servant tried to drag her into the meeting, the young girl bit his arm and ran off. Nobody knew how, but the next time they found Han Yuna, she was at the bottom of the staircase clutching her arm with blood everywhere.
The young heiress accidentally broke her arm while attempting her escape. Her parents, of course, immediately brought her to the hospital.
Because of that incident, the Han family refused to force their daughter into anything she didn't want. They didn't want to trigger the spoiled heiress. It was strange, really. Even at a young age, Han Yuna was well known for her mature and intelligent manners. Yet all hell seems to break loose that day when her parents set her up for a playdate.
She was only eight when that incident happened.
Because she was only a child then, they couldn't do anything about that. The adults all decided to let it go and patiently waited for when the girl was older, to talk about marriage.
However, that didn't mean the big ten families would back down from having Han Yuna as a daughter in law. Each year, each family would host their own party and events in order to invite the young heiress so that she could meet their sons.
And conveniently enough, Yuna always got sick or has some sort of excuse on the same day of the event. Even if she did attend the event, the young heiress would be heading home as early as possible. She acted as if she was avoiding the plague.
Heck! If he didn't know better, the reason Han Yuna was in public school was probably to not get involved with any of them.
As if that wasn't enough, any time any of his friends tried to approach her, they would be crushed immediately.
For example at Jongdae's tenth birthday, he received a super ugly and scary looking dinosaur as a present from Han Yuna.
"Happy Birthday, this reminded me of you, so you're welcome."
She wrote that in such nice handwriting too. Who in their right mind would give a te
