"Hyung?"

Mir stood still by the door, his eyes locked onto the figure on the bed. The beeping if the heart monitor, used to be so normal, now ringing wildly in his ears. 

"Cheolyong ... Come ..." Byunghee put a hand on his arm and tried to lead him away but the younger stood his ground, staring at the figure on the bed.

He's waking up?

"Cheolyong ..." He tried again, but the maknae refused to move. Byunghee sighed and instead wrapped an arm around him as the two of them stood, pressed against the wall, trying to glimpse their hyung through a swirling mass of doctors.

Why were there so many doctors? 

It wasn't like he wasn't going to come back, wasn't like he might suddenly leave again. 

He'll wake up. 

Somehow. 

It took much longer than expected. Mir's eyes grew tired, and the medical talk that was being conversed in hushed tones didn't make sense to him at all, so he closed his eyes and tried to block out everything. Only, he had to open them again because if he closed his eyes, the scene would start playing over again in his head - the blood, the crushed cars, the screaming of the sirens and the screaming of the voices ...

"Cheolyong? You okay?" He blinked. Byunghee was staring at him. "Do you want to sit down?"

"No ... It's fine ..."

And then one of the doctors breathed in sharply and said, "He's waking up now."

*Somewhere else*

Sanghyun kicked his legs up and down absently as he scribbled random words in his notebook, his phone lying on the table besides him, the TV playing in front of him a he lay on the sofa. 

He tried not to be too worried.

He yawned, and collapsed back onto the sofa, his pen dangling loosely from his fingers. 

But he couldn't sleep. 

The notebook lay forgotten, its pages of lyrics and occasional diary entries hidden.

When he closed his eyes, he would see the scene again in his head. 

"Sanghyun?" 

He glanced up and saw Joon staring at him. "Hyung? How did you get in?"

He held up a set of keys. "I had your spare keys, did you not know?"

"No ..." He cracked a small smile. "Creepy stalker hyung. Did you watch me when I sleep?"

Joon shook his head. "Only a few times," he joked back, but he couldn't bring himself to smile somehow. He was too tired. 

"Sanghyun ... Have you checked the news?"

"What?" The younger boy snapped up his head. "What ... what happened?"

Joon held out his phone wordlessly. 

Scrolling down, Sanghyun read the heading, and his legs gave out and he collapsed back onto the sofa. 

"Why? What happened to them?"
