"What were the barbaric sounds from earlier?"

Chungha blinked sleepily, eyes half-lidded with the urge to just curl back and sleep. Mina scrambled on the top bunk, probably about to step down, causing noises to disturb Chungha's attempt to re-enter the dreamland.

"Dodaeng argued again," she heard Mina answered Nayoung's question. "Good morning, unnie!"

Chungha fought off the urge to groan. She still felt sleepy. Why couldn't morning come later? She shook her head and tried to listen to Nayoung and Mina's conversation.

"Morning too, Mina. When did you arrive yesterday?"

"Nine p.m.? Probably. I'm not sure except Somi was jamming to Cheer Up."

"Sejeong came home too, right?" Nayoung's voice rang again, fainter this time. She probably had walked off towards the bathroom.

"Um. She's probably awake by now."

A blur of hand moved rapidly in front of her eyes, and Chungha blinked. She looked up to find Mina, who flashed her a bright smile.

"Good morning, Chungha unnie!"

"Morning," she mumbled, pulling off a smile for the excited kid. "How are you, Mina?"

"I'm fine! I've just finished my homework," Mina patted her chest proudly and beamed, "I just need my breakfast and then I'll be more than fine!"

"Go have breakfast first, Mina," Nayoung's voice carried over from the bathroom.

"Yes!" Mina joyfully replied. She immediately skipped her way to exit the room, leaving Chungha with energetic steps. Breakfast always succeeded to brighten Mina's already bright mood in the morning.

Unlike Chungha.

The proclaimed dance master sighed, her palms slowly came around her face to lightly pat her cheeks, mentally chanting to herself wake up, wake up. Maybe it would help if Somi screamed the waking up version of Cheer Up at her. Maybe it would help if Sejeong barged in and dragged her outside.

Wait, Sejeong?

Chungha blinked, the fog in her mind cleared up just a little.

Why did I think of her?

She shook her head and pursed her lips, feeling confused with that little fleeting thought.

Weird.

She got up from her bunk, running her hand through her hair. Now where was her hair tie? She was sure she wore one before she went to sleep yesterday...

"Unnie?"

Chungha looked up, blinking thrice as Mina showed up again.

"Yes?"

"You aren't coming for breakfast?"

"I will." Chungha scanned her bed again, eyes narrowing as she failed to locate the hair tie for the second time. In the end, she heaved a deep sigh and ruffled her hair, giving up. Surely the world wouldn't end just because she didn't use a hair tie for a while. She looked up, a sound of a phone's camera clicking echoed in the room as she did so.

"Mina!" Chungha exclaimed.

The mentioned girl giggled and lowered her phone. "I'm sorry unnie, you look so cute! I'll post this in the chatroom, bye!"

Chungha stared at the place where Mina stood just now in disbelief, shaking her head. It wasn't usual of Mina to take candid photos—it's usually Chaeyeon, or Somi (kid was too fond of the zooming feature). Maybe she did look cute. Or maybe Chaeyeon and Somi had rubbed off their bad habit to Mina.

She wasn't sure how to feel about that. But her stomach growled lowly, beckoning her to at least be sure of something—that she was hungry.

Breakfast sounded wonderful.

Chungha stared at the the unread lines, the spoon in her hand hovering near with a load of food on it, waiting to be eaten. Her lips gradually formed a scowl as seconds dragged on without Sejeong reappearing in their chatroom.

"Unnie, are you going to eat that?"

Somi's question snapped her out of her thought. Chungha swallowed and looked up from her phone, her gaze averting towards the maknae, and then to the spoon she had held for a while.

"Oh."

She gave Somi a sheepish smile and brought the food into , chewing on carefully as her finger tapped her phone's screen to exit the chatroom. She brought her spoon down, listening to the endless bicker about zombies that took place beside her.

She swallowed as Yoojung insisted that some things aren't meant to be explained with Science to a very dismayed Mina, an amused Doyeon seated right next to her to rub her back and laugh at Yoojung's increasing restlessness.

Chungha swallowed down and frowned.

Was it just her, or did the food taste a little bit bland today?

"Mina," she called, waiting patiently until Mina looked at her direction, "where is Sejeong?"

"Oh." Mina's face lighted up, and it took Chungha several seconds to realize that Mina's gaze was shifted from her to somewhere behind her. Then Mina giggled,

"She's just right behind you, unnie."

Chungha widened her eyes, and she was about to turn her head and confirm with her own eyes—she would have, if not for a pair of hands cupping her cheeks from behind, preventing her from doing so.

"Nuh-uh, be still."

It was Sejeong's voice, Chungha noted. She stilled in her seat, and the hands on both side of her face slipped away, returning only to sweep strands of hair from her cheek, tucking them gently behind her ear.

"I told you to tie your hair," Sejeong groused, fingers running through Chungha's hair tenderly in contrast of the grump in her voice. The light touches sent warmth running along Chungha's sense, almost deafening her from hearing the maknae line's excuse of 'I'm done eating'.

Sejeong still her hair for the umpteenth time, and although Chungha wondered if it was necessary, she kept silent and let the younger do what she wanted.

"I shall tie your hair into an antenna," Sejeong mused. "Like Dara sunbaenim's past hairstyle."

"Seriously?" Chungha scoffed, her hand lightly slapped the person behind her. "Don't be childish, Sejeong."

"I'm not the one eating breakfast with her hair untamed like a child," Sejeong sing-songed.

"My hair tie is missing," Chungha sighed, partly to Sejeong's words and partly to Sejeong's gentle tug as the younger gathered her hair to began tying them up. "Besides, what is it to you if I don't?"

Sejeong fell silent, her fingers worked diligently to tie and knot the soft fabric around Chungha's soft locks. She hummed in satisfaction as she finished her work, taking a step back after giving a pat to the now tied hair. The question was left unanswered, and Chungha was very well aware of that as she turned around and looked at her temporary hair stylist,

"Well?" Chungha inquired.

Sejeong beamed brightly at her, "You're welcome."

"Of course, thank you," Chungha smiled. "But why are you so persistent?"

There was a flicker of uncertainty in Sejeong's eyes, as if Chungha had asked something she shouldn't have.

"Because seeing you with your hair mussed up makes me either want to tie it," Sejeong muttered, "or graze my lips lightly over yours."

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Chungha stared, lips unmoved, as her heart thumped erratically upon Sejeong's words.

There was a gasp, one not belonged to either one of them, cluing that they had an audience.

Sejeong straightened up, as if breaking from a trance, and grinned sheepishly to her.

"I'm just joking."

She said it as her hand came up to ruffle her own hair, an act Chungha knew all too well.

Sejeong was nervous.

Why?

"Finish your breakfast," Sejeong said suddenly, "I will see you later."

The girl stormed out from the room, leaving Chungha behind with things to analyze over.

For example, Sejeong's real intention of her words.

Or her own heart's action upon hearing those words.

Chungha turned back to her plate, her appetite was nowhere to be found.

I will end up overanalyzing everything, she thought. It's just a little something. It's probably best to ignore what happened earlier.

A voice nagged at her in the back of her mind, but Chungha filed it away.
