When the both of you stepped outside where the garden were, the male closed the doors muffling the music from inside. You pulled your hand back slightly from his grip making the latter to face you.

“Sorry” he apologised rubbing the back of his nape nervously.

“It’s okay” you assured rubbing the side of your arm “Thanks.. Kihyun oppa” you called quietly.

He cleared his throat before suggesting “Since we’re out here, care to take a walk with me?”

“I don’t know..” you slowly said looking around the beautifully lit garden “Changkyun would be looking for me. I should probably-” you slowly face him and were only met with a pair of the most hopeful brown eyes.

You softened and condemned yourself for being so weak before finally nodding. Kihyun perked and extended his arm to allow you to start walking first. As the both of you were walking along the path around the garden, it was clear how awkward the both of you were. You were playing with your fingers grimly and Kihyun was no better as he kept rubbing his nape trying to think of a way to break the ice.

“How is-” “When did you-” the both of you started before awkwardly looking away.

“You go first oppa” you assured.

“I was going to ask when did you arrive?” he smiled

“A few hours ago actually” you answered eyes on the ground.

“Really?”

“Yea” you nodded “Jooheon oppa literally just picked me up from the airport and brought me here” you explained

“He even told our parents that my flight was delayed so that we could come here” your lips twitch upwards thinking back at your brother’s antics.

“Aren’t you tired? Shouldn’t you be getting a jetlag or something?” he asked concerned.

“I’m alright. I slept in the plane earlier” you shrugged.

“Oh I guess that’s okay then”

While the both of you were mindlessly following the path, the both of you had somehow ended up at the gazebo in the middle of the garden where it was covered with fairy lights and vines all over.

“Shall we?” Kihyun asked as he offered his hand to you

You briefly ignore his hand and climbed up the steps yourself. Kihyun drop his hand disappointedly but followed suit nevertheless. The both of you stood in the centre where you spun slowly admiring the lights.

“I know you know how much I missed you Joohyun” Kihyun started

You stop admiring and slowly face the male.

“Do I?” you asked harsher than you intended.

“I know what I did was wrong. I should have supported you with your dreams.. Not try to stop you from them” he admitted solemly.

You kept quiet as you crossed your arms and faced the other way.

“I just don’t get you oppa.. What was so wrong of me continuing my modelling program in New York?” you asked almost glaring.

“I just thought you’d change after being exposed with foreigners. You know like get caught with excessive drinking, clubs or even drugs!” he pointed out earning an eye roll “I was just worried about your well-being”

“Well as you can see, I’m perfectly fine. I’m sorry I made you worry for nothing” you snapped ready to leave the gazebo.

“You know that’s not what I meant” Kihyun defended as he grab you by the forearm.

“Let go of me” you icily said not facing him.

“Come on Joo... I made a mistake. I shouldn’t have threaten our relationship like that.. I thought if I made you choose.. You’d choose us and we could have still been together” he pleaded.

“So you’re saying this all my fault” you pushed turning to face him.

“Don’t put words in my mouth Joo” he pressed.

“No. That’s exactly what you meant. You said if I hadn’t chosen New York over what we had that day at the airport, we would have still been together” you spat tears b.

“Joo..” Kihyun softened.

“Don’t blame me for what we lost oppa. You know how much I’ve wanted to be accepted by theSociety in NYC. How could you?” you scolded hitting him on the chest. “No. How dare you for making me choose? You have no idea how heart breaking it was to hear you demand me right there and then to choose. I hate you. I hate you” you sobbed hitting him repeatedly.

Kihyun just stood there accepting your hits and he was about to pull you in for a hug when “Joohyun? Kihyun?” a voice called from below the gazebo making you pause “Is everything alright?”

“Yes.” you answered quickly wiping your tears “Everything’s peachy” you called out turning away from Kihyun.

“Come on Angel. It's almost time for cake. You should be there.” The voice beckoned.

“Okay Wonho oppa. I'll be right there” you said as you wiped your face dry before climbing down the steps.

Kihyun slowly followed and watched as you entered the elder’s arms as he wrapped his arm over your shoulder comfortingly. He felt devastated as
