"When I thought we'd be getting new people, I pictured a bunch of freaks," a guy smirked as he cut into the circle, ungratefully nudging Amber aside, "I didn't think we'd be blessed with...well." He chuckled as his eyes lazily ran up and down Kora.

This should be fun, Kora thought, returning the smirk.

Amber choked, "I apologise about this one, Baekhyun doesn't know when his company is unwelcome," she narrowed her eyes at him, sheer hatred shining through. It was obvious that Amber disliked Baekhyun, and Kora was already curious as to why that was.

"Don't be," Kai smiled from besides Kora, knowing very well what angle this 'Baekhyun' was working from, "We like making new friends, don't we?" He looked to his two companions and they nodded in unison. Kora didn't take her eyes off of Baekhyun's friends, quietly observing them as they stared right back. Her eyes met the bright ones of the taller, goofy guy locked in the car earlier. She felt strangely vulnerable under his expressive stare.

She shuddered and looked back to Baekhyun; he didn't take his eyes off of her, the exchange intense to say the least.

"Wow," Sulli said in her sweet, airy voice, "That's so nice of you!" She exclaimed before leaping on a surprised Baekhyun and embracing him in a tight, heartfelt hug.

They never know what to do when Sulli strikes. I love that.

Kora couldn't help but laugh as Baekhyun looked slightly shocked over Sulli's...unique personality. Sulli's was a strange mismatch with Kai's flirtatious one and Kora's own, darker personality, but neither of them cared - they loved her too deeply to complain. She was their little sister and angel to protect - if anything ruined that...

But Kora was pleasantly surprised when Baekhyun shrugged and fully reciprocated the special greeting,

"What are friends for?" He hugged Sulli back tightly, smiling over her shoulder, apparently genuinely pleased to make her acquaintance.

"He's lovely," Sulli lamented when she pulled away from the grinning guy, observing him with her ever-thoughtful eyes. Kora knew well enough that it wasn't a compliment that Sulli paid lightly. Kora knew she'd definitely have to keep an eye on this guy.

Amber gagged from besides them again, "If you count impulsive, reckless, aloof and morally corrupt as 'lovely', be my guest-" Kris stepped in to press his hand over Amber's mouth to stop her trash-talking.

Kora smirked at the exchange.

"Sorry about that," Kris chuckled, trying to lighten up the mood, "They've never exactly seen eye to eye."

"Hmm." Sulli hummed quietly from besides her, catching onto something fishy about Amber and Kris' behaviour. Kora saw it too as Amber lowered Kris' hand from , sending him an uncertain look.

"So you're a bit of a wild child then, huh?" Kai questioned Baekhyun, diverting the attention away from the pair Sulli and Kora were already curious about. Sulli continued to watch Amber and Kris silently bicker, but Kora found her eyes continuously drifting back to Baekhyun's friends, trying to make what sense of them she could at this distance.

Baekhyun said cockily, "I see myself as someone who makes sparks fly."

That was enough for Kora to know Baekhyun would be the one to kick things off for her. Kora's attention was drawn back to Baekhyun, and she couldn't help feel satisfaction when his eyes roamed over her again. She was gonna enjoy her time here a lot.

The bell for homeroom went off, and the students around them began to scuttle to their classrooms. Kai showed his and Sulli's timetables to Kris and Amber as they made their way up the stairs, but Kora found herself fixated on Baekhyun's friends. She waited behind a little longer.

The pretty guy in the sports jacket had watched the trio merely out of curiosity. He was absolutely gorgeous with his sandy hair and angelic looks, but he seemed genuinely uninterested; not only in Kora and her friends, but in everything around him. Like he was too in his own mind to notice what was happening around him. Kora wouldn't waste her time there for now - a challenge to be saved for later...

The slightly taller one with the messy brown hair and the shirt with food stains on it seemed awkward and nerdy, but Kora couldn't deny he had handsomeness despite this, just buried somewhere beneath. She felt satisfaction in seeing him stare at her in a way singularly different to his friends; some genuine, curious innocence that Kora hadn't seen in a long time. She was undecided about whether to include him in her game.

And finally, the taller, cute, dark-haired guy with the dark denim jacket and torn jeans, who was clasping onto his skateboard as his friends dragged him up the stairs. Kora had been curious about him ever since she saw him locked in that car boot - he looked so carefree and oblivious to everything, but in his eyes she saw sadness. She was not as good a people reader as Sulli, but the inescapable fact was that this guy was hiding something. He was definitely troubled.

Kora couldn't help but laugh slightly when he turned back to look at her and his eyes were red and squinting.

Looks like we have a stoner to play with.

"You have a name, quiet-girl?" Baekhyun smirked at her confidently once everyone had more or less disappeared, finally getting her on her own,"What does a guy like me need to do to get to know you then?" He asked when she didn't answer.

Kora tilted her head and watched him, "Do something bad."

Baekhyun's eyes lit up in excitement at Kora's command. She wanted to test whether or not he was as badass as he seemed, but more importantly, how interesting he'd be in her game.

"Follow me," He nodded towards the school entrance before coolly sauntering away. Kora smirked as she followed him through the quiet hallways, but on the way they passed and heard several other students flunking homeroom, dotted about in empty rooms smoking or doing lord-knows-what. The duo reached what appeared to be the school chemistry labs. Empty. Baekhyun kicked the door open brashly as Kora merely stood with her arms crossed, expectant.

"Keep a lookout for me, sweetheart?" Baekhyun smirked before stalking into the chemistry lab. He had a smirk that told you he was a guy who always had a plan and always knew how to put on a good show. Kora waited patiently for him to prepare his little performance.

I have faith in this miscreant.

"Time to make a mess of things," Baekhyun cackled devilishly as he emerged with a cardboard box. Kora raised an eyebrow before opening one of the flaps lightly - the box was full of ethanol cannisters.

I see where this is going...

She and Baekhyun ended up in the junior bathrooms after Baekhyun had skillfully managed to sneak them past any suspecting cameras - she couldn't deny she was impressed just by this. Usually when she and a boy were in a bathroom alone together...well, that would very a different story...

"The entire school relies on two plumbing lines," Baekhyun explained as he kicked open each of the cubicles with his combat boots, "One for bathrooms, and one for the cafeteria. And luckily, these babies happen to run through every classroom in the junior's block..." He tapped one of the said pipes with a grin plastered across his face.

Kora still hadn't said anything much to him yet, but that didn't stop him from showing off to her as he expertly, (yet quickly) poured the ethanol cannisters down a single toilet, hand poised on the flush cord.

Kora was impressed with the clever scientific aspect behind the impulsive plan, as Baekhyun didn't seem the type to quickly think of something this dangerous. She didn't, however, ignore the scars and bruises across his knuckles, remnants of a fight she assumed he'd gotten into recently. It only made her even more attracted to him - physically of course. She loved messing around with the bad ones; she tended to meet her match in guys like Baekhyun.

"What now?" Kora smiled as she nudged the box across the floor. She knew very well what would happen - she just enjoyed playing around like this.

Baekhyun turned back to her, his hand reached into his pocket. His eyes bored into her, full of lust. She couldn't deny a physical attraction to him, but she was prepared to make him wait.

The other pieces still need to be moved...

He pulled out a cigarette and lighter, "Would you do the honours?"

Kora smirked as he held the cigarette backwards for her to take; she took the cigarette between her fingers, making sure to subtly brush her cool fingers against his bruised yet strong hand. He opened the lighter (which had a picture of a California Girl on it) and Kora moved down to light her cigarette as the flame flickered. She did not move her eyes from his own intense pair.

Kora took a drag of the cigarette, coolly blowing the fumes in the air as Baekhyun took a small flask out of his pocket. All the while, their eyes locked. He downed a generous the dose of the drink - it didn't take a genius to know it was alcohol.

"Want some, whiskey Princess?" He raised an eyebrow at her suggestively. Kora thought his smile was oddly cute despite his rebel appearance and behaviour. She took one last drag of the cigarette before taking the small flask from him and drinking generously. The alcohol felt normal - the burn from drinking alcohol had faded a long time ago. Kora put the cigarette back between her teeth and poured some of the whiskey over the edge of the toilet seat before stepping back,

"Every fire needs a spark," Kora lamented before gracefully flicking the cigarette at the puddle of alcohol that surrounded the toilet before coolly exiting the cubicle. She smirked when she heard Baekhyun chase after her once the fire had started and the toilet was flushed.

"Can I get my flask back?"

"You can get it back from me later..."

"And you are late because...?" Mr Kim, Class S4's Tutor asked expectantly. Chanyeol looked up from where he'd been dosing on the desk after Irene nudged him in the ribs. Baekhyun stood at the door with an not-so innocent smirk plastered across his face. Chanyeol rested his head back on his book, knowing fully well Baekhyun was going to get put into detention again, even if it was Mr Kim, the 2nd most apathetic teacher at school.

Where has he been?

"Sorry Seonsaeng-Nim, I got lost and Baekhyun was kind enough to show me around,"

Chanyeol's head shot up at the sound of her voice. He felt an odd sense of dismay when he saw the silver-haired girl from earlier, standing innocently behind Baekhyun. Chanyeol sighed.

"Why the long face?" Irene whispered next to him. Chanyeol could see her eyeing the new girl from his peripheral vision, "What have we here?"

"Well I-" But Mr Kim never finished.

Everyone screeched and screamed as something that sounded close to gunfire echoed from below. Chanyeol jumped back in his chair slightly, spinning his head around in panic in the remnants of his high. Irene screamed and ducked her head under the table on one side of him, and Sehun fell backwards from the chair he'd been rocking from on the other side. The rest of the class followed in suit and dove under the table, Irene dragging Chanyeol down whilst he hazily looked around.

"This is why I always plan an escape route out of every classroom in case a psycho with a gun walks in!" Sehun whispered to no one in particular ruefully, loud enough to hear over the 'gunfire' but quietly enough so only Chanyeol could hear.

The sound rattled all around them for a few seconds, like tiny, yet brutally loud, bullets that rattled incessantly. What was weird was that they seemed to come from within the walls...

The pieces came together in Chanyeol's mind at the sound of Baekhyun's cackle across the room.

That sly old fox...

Chanyeol couldn't help but grin at his best friend's dangerous antics, even if it did mean he was closer to the girl. Not that he cared of course. However, it was a prank that Baekhyun and Chanyeol had always discussed doing together - he couldn't deny feeling slightly hurt by the intrusion.

Irene's chest was heaving from besides him, the girl close to hyperventilating, whereas Sehun was busy tying his shoelaces in the middle of the terrifying situation.

The terrifying sounds appeared to have finished.

"What the  was that?" Amber demanded from the other side of the classroom, clearly enraged and terrified over the oddity. Mr Kim didn't even bother in scolding her for her language.

The rest of the class were caught up in a shaken silence, everyone frozen in fear or panting in panic. Irene was close to having a nervous breakdown, Sehun's poker face not letting any fear show. Chanyeol was the first to move; he slowly crawled out from under the desk, and cautiously peeped his head over the edge of the desk.

What he didn't expect to see was Kora perched on the corner of the front desk as if nothing had happened, as if she wasn't affected by it whatsoever. Chanyeol shivered ever so slightly when her eyes landed on him. She smiled. Small, but beautiful nonetheless.

"Is it safe to come out?" Irene demanded, tugging on Chanyeol's sleeve and latching him back into reality. He nodded.

"Well!" Baekhyun cleared his throat as the rest of the class began to crawl out from under the desks nervously, too shaken to say anything but too excited not to observe, "That was unexpected!"

"If that's your idea of a First Day Prank," Amber spat, aggressively shoving at Baekhyun's chest with unparalleled ferocity, "Why aren't you in prison already?!"

"Yah, watch it!" Chanyeol quickly moved to back up his best friend, stepping in between the rivals, "You don't even know it was him!" Chanyeol gulped under Amber's intense glare.

"Who else could it be?" Irene sneered from the other end of the classroom, "He's the only one with that big a death-wish in the first place!"

"And besides," Amber added, the agreement between the two females a sheer rarity, "You're the only ones who turned up late."

"There are plenty of other students who flunk homeroom," Sehun added thoughtfully, still crouched by the table next to Irene.

"Uh, hell-o Mama's Boy!" Irene complained to Sehun in her usual, y tone, "If he hadn't set that stupid little bomb off, you wouldn't have nearly died falling head-first out of your chair!"

Chanyeol couldn't help but choke a laugh as Sehun cowered back from the enraged Irene, but he stopped when he felt the girl's furious eyes on him next. He gulped at the prospect of being Irene's next target.

But just before Irene could exact her fury, the new girl had something to say, "He wasn't exactly alone though, was he?" The new girl smirked across the room at Irene who looked less than pleased.

Wonder how our Queen B is going to take this. Where's the popcorn when you need it?

"I got lost," the new girl explained, innocence apparent in her tone and face. Chanyeol couldn't help but find himself listening intently, "Baekhyun was kind enough to show me the way here."

"Which, if I'm not mistaken," Baekhyun added in a know-it-all way, "Was Amber's job?"

"I don't buy it." Irene spat as she crossed her arms in anger, eyes narrowed at the new girl, Sehun trying to stand at last, staring up from next to Irene dejectedly.

"If you didn't insist on stalking her first thing," Amber shouted as she tried to get around Chanyeol and in hitting range of Baekhyun, "That wouldn't have been necessary!"

"Calm down!" Chanyeol exclaimed as he tried to hold Amber at a safe distance from his best friend. He didn't realise Baekhyun was stood behind him at a perfectly safe distance, smirking with the new girl, still sat at ease on the table.

"Well, wherever you guys were," Mr Kim's deep voice loudly cut through the ensuing argument that began to take over the class, "You were still late. I really can't be bothered to file a report on your obvious involvement in whatever just happened, but late is late. I hope you guys haven't planned anything after school today."

The class stared up at Mr Kim, dumbfounded over the lack of punishment, as he calmly poured a cup of Green Tea.
