The extra weight on one side of his body woke him up. It’s been a while since he felt that familiar mass of heat. Donghae has been mostly in China recently as part of Super Junior M. Then they have become busy with their individual schedules that there was rarely a time when both of them are sleeping at the same time. He kept his eyes closed. It felt good being near him again.  He savored the feeling of the warmth radiating from the body next to his. It gives him a soothing, calming effect. Always. He missed cuddling with him. He missed hanging out with him. He missed spending little but quality time with him. He’s his bestfriend afterall.

He smiled when he felt the arm on his waist tightened, pulling him closer to the other.

“I missed you Hyukkie…” Donghae whispered to him

“Tsk.” He tried to sound nonchalant, “I already know that.” he teased

Donghae smacked his arm, “Yah!” which made him shift into a sitting position, with his back resting on the headboard.

He answered him a grin, “What?!”

“Say it!” the pouting fish face now demanded

“Say what?” Eunhyuk replied, looking down at him

“Fine. Don’t.” Donghae pouted even more, then tried to move away from him. Oh well, he couldn’t do such even if he wanted to. He’s using a single bed. Moving away from him means falling into the floor, so he just moved a little then laid flat on the bed…avoiding any contact with him. He smirked as he watched Donghae sulking. He used to get annoyed by this but then he grew to love this side of him. Donghae was never afraid to act like a kid and be a kid. He saw him mouthing words. Uh-oh.  That can’t be good. He should stop pushing his luck now. He lowered his upper body down then he held onto him like a clam.

“Of course I missed you.”

“…”

“I really do!” Eunhyuk trying to convince Donghae, “Having a peace of mind and serene surroundings is boring.”

“Hyuk!!!” a warning on Donghae’s tone now

Eunhyuk couldn’t help but laugh. Then gave in to his wishes, Donghae would not stop sulking if he won’t give in anyway, “I missed you Hae.”

Donghae replied with a “Tsk.” but though he couldn’t see his face, Eunhyuk knew he was already smiling.

His mornings like this with Donghae are some of the most precious moments they have shared through the years. It’s not the long talks that made them closer. They don’t drink alcohol so the usual drinking session among friends doesn’t even apply to them. It’s times like this where they could just cuddle and feel each other’s presence which matter more.
