Jiyong was seated at his office, his head throbbing at the noise outside. There was a construction site and the noises gave him a bad headache. He had taken headache medicine but that barely made a difference. He couldn't write, read, or even hear himself think. Finally, his temper got the best of him.
"Ms. Eom, why didn't you tell me that there was construction today?" Jiyong asked through gritted teeth.
There was silence as a static noise came through the intercom.
"Mr. Kwon, we can't control the construction, if that's what you're thinking. It's their job." Ms. Eom answered.
"Do you think I care? Maybe you should've warned me earlier so my head wouldn't feel like it's being ripped open!"
"Sorry about that but I thought you didn't like to be disturbed . . ."
She was getting on his nerves.
"Well you don't always have to listen to me, do you? Especially if it comes to matters like this!" He yelled which was not helping matters with his headache.
"There's not much I can do, is there? If you're done with your ranting, I'd like to continue my work." She said irritably.
Jiyong grunted as he ran his hand through his blonde hair and turned off the intercom. He was in a bad mood and he had no idea why. Was it because of Areum? Her constant bugging and asking him for help. Other than that, nothing seemed to irk him so what was the problem.
