Jiyeon ran as soon as she arrived in front of YG entertainment. She opened her phone once again to make sure which room 2NE1 was waiting.

“3rd floor, 3rd floor”

She muttered repeatedly and got in to the lift. She was still hyperventilating from the running before. She fixed her looks by the reflection on the lift’s wall. She took a deep breath and stepped out of the lift. Jiyeon walked hurriedly to the room. She was a bit hesitant at first, but eventually knocked the door.

“Come in.” Jiyeon heard from the inside.

“Good afternoon. I’m Hwang Jiyeon.” She bowed politely to the people in the room.

“Ah, you must be the new songwriter. Hello!!” Dara exclaimed happily when she saw Jiyeon.

“Yes, I am. I’m so sorry I was late.” Jiyeon felt really sorry and bowed a couple more times.

“No, it’s okay.” CL spoke coldly. She was a bit irritated before, but Jiyeon was here now. What’s the point of being irritated. The sooner they finished the song, the faster she would visit Jiyong. Jiyeon was looking around the room to find a place for her to sit when Dara realized it.

“Sit here.” Dara patted an empty spot beside her. Jiyeon nodded and hurriedly went over.

“So, where’s the song?” CL asked while lifting her eyebrow. Minzy was sitting in the corner quietly as she watched her eonnis talking.

“Ah, wait.” Jiyoen opened her bag and looked for her lyrics book. She had a new one though for 2NE1. She got it out and gave it to CL.

“Come Back Home?” Bom seemed interested in the title and hurriedly went beside CL. Minzy and Dara were also gathered around them. They read the song thoroughly. Jiyoen was waiting nervously whether they liked it or not.

“It’s a good song.” Bom smiled genuinely to Jiyeon. She let out a deep breath. It felt like she held her breath for a good couple of minutes. Bom chuckled when she saw Jiyeon breathed in relief.

“Well, why don’t we start the recording? You stay here, okay?” CL commanded her members as well as Jiyeon. Before recording, they divided their parts in the song. Jiyeon also helped them to divide the lyrics according to their voices. She was surprised when she heard 2NE1 sang a bit of the songs. Well, their voices had a lot of difference with each other, but they did make a good harmony. Finally, it was time for them to record the song. CL went into the recording booth first.

“Ready?” One of the staffs asked.

“Yeah.” CL nodded excitedly. Jiyeon was waiting outside doing nothing. Well, she had no idea what to do though. So, she just waited patiently there playing with her fingers. She could hear CL’s voice when she sang the song and she felt something about it. There’s something off on her voices. It had a different feels with what she intended CL supposed to sing. She hesitated before speaking to Dara who paid a lot of attention to CL.

“Dara-ssi.” Jiyeon called her.

“Yes?” Dara was startled when Jiyeon called her.

“What’s wrong?” She questioned Jiyeon briefly.

“Uhm, can I interrupt CL-ssi?” Jiyeon asked politely.

“Eh, why? Did she do something wrong?” Dara asked confusedly.

“I guess so. I don’t know why, but the way she sang it was different from what I thought the song would be. She sang it well, but I guess there are some part which she could sing it better” Jiyeon explained while looking at CL then turned to Dara again.

“Oh, okay.” Dara said then went to staff in front of them to ask CL rerecord the song. CL understood and repeated singing the song. Jiyeon heard it carefully and she still didn’t satisfy with the way CL sang it.

‘She had no feeling in the song.’ Jiyeon shook her head for the fifth time already. Okay, now CL was out of the booth.

“Let’s hear how the others sing first then.” CL said giving up and threw herself in the sofa beside her members.

“Okay, who’s next?” Asked the staff.

“Let’s hear Bom first.” CL suggested and they all agreed with it. Bom talked to Jiyeon once again to make sure she got the situation in the song right. Then, she entered the booth. Bom sang the song confidently while Jiyeon was hearing carefully. She was satisfied with the way Bom sang it and gave a thumb up for her. Bom squealed happily.

“Am I good?” Bom asked inside the booth.

“I guess it’s pretty good. Let’s take another record and compare it later. Can you do it?” I asked the staff.

“Yeah, sure.” He responded. So, Bom recorded for the second time and this time I guess it’s better. She didn’t have much part though for this song. We continued the recording for another three hours. Dara repeated thrice for some parts, but she finished it beautifully, while Minzy did it as good as Bom. She sang the song with full emotions. As expected, the young spirit in herself made her worked harder than the others. We all were worn out by the time. I, the one who didn’t even sing, got tired as well. 2NE1 members were lying tiredly in the sofa. We were resting when 2NE1 managers got in the studio. Jiyeon sat up straightly while the others were sighing.

“Easy, Jiyeon-ssi. You could take a rest, too. I brought some meals from the cafeteria. Thought you all were hungry.” The manager said and put the foods in front of them. They squealed happily and ate hungrily. Jiyeon smiled when the manager offered her the food, but she only took a drink.

“So, is everything done already?” The manager inquired us, especially 2NE1 members.

“No, I guess we just finished half of them.” CL answered and sighed. She was the one who still had nothing done.

“We finished with Bom and Dara-ssi already. Minzy-ssi still has some part to re-record while CL-ssi, she still had nothing done.” Jiyeon explained shortly to the manager.

“Really? CL, you still haven’t done anything? What’s wrong with you?” The manager asked confusedly.

“I don’t know. I’m just not in the mood I guess.” CL shrugged briefly and went back to lie lazily in the sofa. We were in silent for a couple minutes. Then, someone opened the door and sneaked his head to the room.

“Did I disturb you, guys?” One of the guys asked before the others emerged to the room and he was pulled inside. They all smiled at 2NE1 members.

“Oppa!! No, we’re not busy. We just took some rest now.” Minzy said happily.

‘Okay, they’re close. Would it be weird if I were here?’ Jiyeon asked herself.

“What are you doing here, oppa? Who takes care of Jiyong oppa?” CL asked worriedly.

“Easy, CL. Jiyong was with Dami noona. It is our turn after her, so we went here to ask if you guys want to join.” Another guy, TOP, said calmly. Jiyoen just kept silent not really paying attention to what they are talking about. She doesn’t exactly know who they were, but if she was right, they were Big Bang.

“Eonni, please let us go.” CL was the one who was asking desperately. Jiyoen bet she was close with Jiyong. Jiyeon pulled her phone from her bag checking if there were any messages. It was.  Hayoen texted her saying she was in front of her apartment.

[What are you doing?] Jiyoen replied as soon as she read her message. It hadn’t been a minute when her phone buzzed again.

[There’s something you forget. Trust me it’s important. Where are you?] Hayoen replied.

[In YG’s building. Will be out in a couple of minutes. Wait.] Jiyoen closed her phone as she felt someone was staring at her. She smiled shyly at him and surprisingly he returned her smile. TOP was just being polite, so he smiled at her though he had no idea who she was.

“Okay, okay. But, we will continue it tomorrow.” 2NE1’s manager said and apologized to Jiyeon.<
