Chapter 1
You Are My Life
Chapter 1
Awoken from the vibration and ringing of my phone, I immediately turned on
the lamp and snatch the noisy device from the bedside table.
Glinting my eyes to see the time, an instinctive grunt escaped my lips when
it says 12:51 am. My shift just finished awhile ago. What is this now?!
I pressed the accept button and pressed the phone beside my ear, hoping
that it wouldn’t be an emergency case.
“Jung.” I stated, waiting to hear what the problem is now.
“Oh uhm I’m sorry for bothering you Dr. Jung, but there’s an emergency
right now and only Dr. Kwon is on duty. And since you’re still at the
doctor’s quarters, she figured and asked if you can help her right now?”
the nurse at the emergency room, Sunny, stated apologetically.

good amount of oxygen to fully awaken and relax my system. I handed the
tumbler back to Sunny.
“You’re welcome Dr. Uhm the rescue team reported to us that they rescued
a nearly drowned victim. He’s still unconscious though and needs proper
medical attention right away and-.”
Sunny’s report was cut short when they heard the blare of the ambulance
nearing their location. Seconds later, the tight brakes of the vehicle
