Prologue

Author’s POV

                Oh, what a cold weather for a day in the fall season. Or that’s what this photographer feels as he stomps down the streets of Seoul, his camera hanging by his neck, his mind occupied by scenarios of how he will live his life after his boss fires him. South Korea’s economy has been acting out again– another recession. People thought it’s impossible but there it is; zombies. Unemployed zombies walking mindlessly across the country, uncertain of their future.

                “I’m just overthinking things. Mr. Byun hasn’t even fired me yet!” thought the photographer as he ended his walk in an abrupt stop. “How do I secure my job? I don’t need to sell my body to my boss, do I? Uggh!” as he kicks a soda can in front of his feet and walks again.

                Without knowing, his feet have brought him to the river side park– crowded by people of different standings. The Han River is a must-go when couples go on a date. As he leans on the railings, watching the flowing river, couples pass by him looking all giddy and happy. He can actually hear the chuckles of the women who are childishly clinging on to their man’s arm. But here he is, all alone, watching the Han River. This sight is becoming of him. “I’m going to be a hobo loitering about the area.” Pout. Another couple passes by him.

                “Babe, it looks crowded. I think we’ll be able to blend well without anyone recognizing us.” said a girl to her lover, “As long as we’re wearing our hoodies on, we’ll be okay.”

                “You’re right. Let’s enjoy our date.” another girl responded.

                “What!? Both are girls!” he thought as he accidentally eavesdropped.

                Out of curiosity, he followed the so called couple. As the couple walks towards a park bench, he pretended to be a passerby and passed the couple, hiding behind a bush in front. “Would Mr. Byun still accept photos of a random lesbian couple? Whatever, snap away Park Chanyeol.”

                 “Aiish! I can’t see their faces. I mean, they are eating each other’s faces but still, it’s all silhouettes of two blobs trying to unite.” He turns on the camera’s flash and tinkers on some settings.

*FLASH**FLASH*

                 “Oh no!”

                 “What the …”

                 “! Babe, we have to go!” one of them said as she grabs her lover’s hand. Both ran away without looking back, covering their faces as they pass through the crowd.

                Chanyeol is currently in a frozen state as he realizes who the girls are, staring at the camera screen. His mind went haywire! “Is this supposed to shock me? Isn’t this showing too much?” He caught the two as they were about to kiss, their faces full of joy and contentment. He also caught them kissing, passion is seen despite their closed eyes. These two photos are much clearer; it shows the two girls’ faces– the two idols’ faces.

                “What do I do?!?!”
