Like they say, 'it's the thought that counts' when you give a gift to someone. May the gift be locally bought or highly priced, the thought that comes with is what truly matters. 

 

This Christmas,however, Sulli couldn't find the perfect present for Minho even if she has the mindset of 'it's the thought counts'.  Not giving up, Sulli was persevered to finding the gift she wanted to give to her husband 

 

"Hubby, what if I don't get you a present this year?" Sulli curiously asked one night. They were getting ready for bed and the thought of not finding the perfect gift still occupied her mind. Beside her on the bed, Minho chuckled as he got under the sheets, getting comfortable 

 

"It doesn't matter to me, really. I have you and that's a gift already. I wouldn't want any gift besides you." Minho said, grinning from ear to ear. Sulli on the other hand cringed at the cheesy words. Although in the end, they both laughed it off and cuddled up with one another and began to fall asleep

Sulli almost gave up, she had bought everyone's gift already but still hasn't found a single thing for Minho. However, it wasn't until one fateful morning, Sulli finally decided to take a pregnancy test she's been wanting to do ever since she started to get morning sickness, fatigue and weird cravings and all the other symptoms 

 

"Could this be Minho's present this year? Finally starting a family together?" Sulli thought as she had the pregnancy stick in her hand, looking at it very closely. Nonetheless, Sulli did what the box instructed and in a matter of minutes, the result will come 

 

Sulli became anxious, her heart started to beat faster as she waited. She tried to walk around the bathroom, hoping it would ease the nervousness. What it seems like an eternity when in reality, only 2-3 minutes passed, the results came out 

 

"Oh my God" Was the only words that came out from Sulli's mouth as she looked at the stick in her right hand. The tears started to kick in, she couldn't believe it at first. She was speechless, she doesn't know what to say or do at the moment, it was quite overwhelming 

 

"Sulli! Honey? Are you okay? Is everything okay in there?" Someone said along with repeated knocks. Sulli got up from the toilet seat and looked at her face in the mirror. She quickly washed her face and opened the door

 

"Umma" Sulli said as she pulled her dear mother into a hug. Mrs. Choi smiled and began to rub Sulli's back gently. Unknowingly, Sulli started to cry again. Both mother and daughter stayed in the hug a little longer 

 

"Why are you crying? What happened?" Mrs. Choi asked, becoming worried for her daughter. Sulli pulled out from the hug first and wiped her tears away, putting a big smile now 

 

"I'm going to be a mom, umma" Sulli happily informed, smiling through the tears. Her mother looked at her shocked, like is she serious? Nonetheless, Mrs. Choi was extremely happy for Sulli 

 

"Does Minho know?" Mrs. Choi asked, Sulli shook her head. She began to explain that she just found today and was actually planning to surprise him with this 'gift' on Christmas Day which was nearly a week away

 

"I'm sure he'll be happy. This is a very special gift. He'll definitely be thrilled. Congrats, honey. You'll be a great mom. And don't worry, umma will always be here to help you out" Mrs. Choi said smiling, pulling Sulli into a hug once more 

 

"Thank you, umma. I can't wait for Christmas already" Sulli said, laughing at the thought of seeing Minho's reaction to this wonderful news

Today was finally the day Sulli has been waiting for. She tried her hardest to not spill any beans about the pregnancy but it was just too tempting. Sulli has everything already planned out, all she needs to do is wait for the Christmas dinner that will be happening later in the evening 

 

"Merry Christmas hubby" Sulli greeted Minho in the morning as she was setting the table for breakfast. In return, Minho kissed her on the cheek and sat down. Sulli woke up extra early this morning to cook especially for Minho as she ordered the maids and cooks have a day off and have them spend the day with their families which they were grateful for 

 

"Come on, hubby. Eat up. I made everything very delicious so please do enjoy." Sulli insisted as she noticed Minho not touching any of the foods in front of him 

 

"Could you feed me? I'm feeling a bit weak this morning, I need assistance from my beautiful wife" Minho pleaded, even putting out a cute pout. Sulli playfully rolled her eyes and began to laugh 

 

"Aigoo, you're such a baby. Now you make wonder if we really have a baby will you still be like this? You're so childish" Sulli said, laughing as she began to put food on his plate and scooping up a bite 

 

"Well until that day comes, I'll be your baby" Minho says as he took in the food that was being feed to him. Both began to laugh and started to eat

 

 Hours passed and the day was starting to get darker, it was almost time for the big revelation. Sulli felt giddy already, she couldn't wait. Sulli acted as if everything was normal, she got ready for the Christmas dinner that will be held at her parents house but actually deep inside she was bursting with excitement and nervousness 

 

Sulli actually planned that before they leave for her parents house, she'll give him his present. For she thought that it will set a good atmosphere at the family Christmas dinner. Actually, Minho was the only one who didn't know the big news, everyone else did except him 

 

"Hubby, aren't you ready? We're going to be late" Sulli yelled from the bottom of the stairs, already dressed up with the gift box already in her hand. In a matter of minutes, Minho came rushing down the stairs looking very handsome like always 

 

As Minho came the down, he noticed that Sulli was holding box, it intrigued him so without really thinking about it, Minho asked what it was 

 

"I'm giving my present to you already. I couldn't wait any longer. So here, open it and see what's inside" Sulli said, handing over the box, biting her lip nervously. Minho looked at her suspiciously but in the end, he smiled and thanked her 

 

Unwrapping the present and taking what was inside, Minho's eyes began to widen as he started to read it. His mouth started to gape open and would constantly look up at Sulli with a smile before looking down again, continuing what he was reading 

 

"Merry Christmas, hubby. I hope you like your present" Sulli began to say with a huge smile written across her face as Minho finished reading 

 

"Like?! Are you kidding me?  I LOVE IT. BEST PRESENT YET. Thank you so much, wifey. I'm speechless and overwhelmed. But overall, I'm thankful. Merry Christmas, my love." Minho said, almost shouting due to glee and excitement. He pulled Sulli into a hug and moments after a long awaited kiss 

 

This Christmas was the best one yet for Minho and Sulli. Not only because they're together but also because a new addition will come soon and both were thrilled to be able to witness it 

 

Indeed, it was a very special gift.
