"It's your job, honey. We couldn't do anything about it. Hey, six months doesn't sound too bad, right? Before we know it, you're home already and back into my arms" I replied, giggling. He only sighed as he pulled me by the waist, pulling me closer to him 

 

"But I won't get to have your kisses and hugs for six months. I think I'll go crazy before the first month" My adorable husband says, looking right at me. It feels like we're back into our teenage days with him saying cheesy words and me blushing 

 

"Before you leave today, I'll give you one last long hug and multiple kisses. Does that sound better?" I bribed as I began to wrap my arms around his neck, giggling even. He breaks into a smile, sighing 

 

"Okay. Fine, if you say so. I think I need one right now" He pleads, giving me those puppy eyes that makes me give in every time. Laughing, I leaned my face closer to his and closed the gap between us 

 

"Still sweet as ever" He mumbles in the kiss, I couldn't help but laugh which basically ruined the kiss but it was okay though, at least I can hear his laughter one more time 

 

"I'll miss this. I'll miss you. You're going to miss me right?" I said, now it's my turn to pout 

 

"Well of course, I'll miss seeing your beautiful face in the morning. I'll miss your scent, I'll miss kissing you every morning and night. I'll miss everything. Especially, you my lovely wife." He replies, giving me a small peck on the forehead. There would be days where I just wish time would stop and capture little moments that I think are valuable and are like a treasure 

 

We were silent, it wasn't an awkward silence or anything like that, it was rather more of a silence where were recollecting our thoughts and basically savoring the last bit of moments we have together 

 

"Seems like your ride is here. You should probably get going" I said, breaking the silence between us as a car started to beep outside. I had to keep a strong face on, I couldn't let him see a sad and weeping face of mine before he leaves, he'll get worried and I didn't want that 

 

"Promise me one thing before I leave" He says, looking serious and even sounding serious. I looked at him, quite confused honestly. I didn't know what he was going to say, I didn't expect anything really 

 

"And that is?" I asked, wanting him to continue what he was going to say. I was actually getting annoyed with whoever is beeping outside, can't we at least get a few more minutes of quiet and not having to hear car beeps every second? 

 

"Promise me that whatever happens whether I'm here or not that you'll take care of yourself and remember that even if we're oceans apart, I love you and I will continue to with every breath I take. I mean it" He finally answers, I already knew my eyes were b with tears and knowing myself, I won't be able to hold them in 

 

"I promise" I said softly, as I buried my face into his neck. And at that very moment, I felt warm liquid run down my face 

 

"Please don't cry. You know I hate it when you cry and I couldn't do anything about it" My husband says, running his hands down my back, trying to soothe me but it wasn't really helping. It only made me cry more as I think that this will be the last time I feel his touch again 

 

"I'm sorry" Is all I could say, I wanted to be wrapped around his arms all the time, if possible but there's things we couldn't have and sadly, this is one of the things I couldn't do 

 

He didn't say anything else but only comforted me. I didn't ask for anything else than just to be in arms a little longer. As my tears dried up, I looked at him once last time and planted a kiss on lips that I've been wanting to do 

 

"Now you promise me the same thing. You'll take care of yourself wherever you may be in the next six months, and come back safely  and last thing, remember that I love you more than anything. Okay?" I said, letting go of the kiss. Our faces were fairly closed to each other, he didn't say anything but just nodded, leaving a kiss on my forehead once more 

 

"Go. They're waiting for you already. They've been beeping none stop, it's getting annoying" I managed to tease, even laughing. He smiled, I began to cheer up upon seeing it 

 

"I love you. Always and forever" I said as he picked up his things and was about to leave. 

 

And with one last kiss, he left through the door and hopped into the car. As the car drove away, my worries did too. I knew he was going to come back safely and when that time comes, I'll welcome him with smiles and laughs, no tears or frowns
