Me and my daughter were out on the waiting area, waiting for him to come home already, how I miss him dearly. These past nine months were filled with lonely nights and kiss less mornings, sometimes I would dread  waking up, not seeing him besides me 

 

In the crowd of people, my eyes were locked on one person, searching and searching until I spot him. My eyes started to glisten with excitement as I held my daughter's hand tighter as he comes closer to us. He didn't change one bit, it was still the same man I fell in love with and for a fact, I knew that wasn't going to change anytime soon 

 

"Look Princess! It's Daddy!" I say in a low voice but loud enough for her to hear me. My little girl let go of my hand and ran towards her father who was a couple feet away. Reaching her beloved dad, he picked her up and twirled her around. Her sweet giggles filled the room as it filled my heart, how I missed seeing them together 

 

In a few strides of mine, I was with them both. My smile didn't leave my face, it only got bigger than before. My husband, my other half was finally home and I can finally breathe clearly again 

 

"Welcome home, solider." I said with the threat of tears falling onto my face. I couldn't dare cry now, it's too much. Instead, I'll keep on a strong face and smile like everything is okay 

 

He put his daughter down carefully and once he did, he hovered his hands over my hips and began to pull me in closer. I instantly, without even second guessing, wrapped my arms tight around him and buried my face into his neck, inhaling the sweet scent of his that I missed dearly 

 

It could've been a coincidence or what, but at the same time, we both said the same words, the words of longing, 'I've missed you' into the deep and tight hug 

 

Now that we're face to face, I can clearly see his face. It never changed in the past nine months, it was still the same. In fact, I think it only got more handsome 

 

"Nine long months without you, I thought I wasn't going to make it. Luckily, your daughter is here with me." I whispered, now the tears were falling which I didn't want it to but it did anyways 

 

He held my face and caressed my  cheek softly before planting his lips on mine. A kiss that I was longing for, the kiss I've been waiting to feel again 

 

"I won't leave anytime soon, I promise. I'll be here for a while with you and Kathy." He says as he releases from the kiss, looking deep into my eyes which he eventually wiped the tears away, I began to smile again. This time the smile will be on my face for a long time 

 

 "You won't leave again, right Daddy? You're here to stay, right?" My dear daughter asked, looking up at her father with pleading eyes. My husband releases me from the hug and bent down to Kathy, giving her an assuring warm smile 

 

"Daddy is here to stay, Princess. I won't leave any time soon. Daddy will be here for a long time, I promise" He coos her, gently caressing her hair. My little girl smiled widely and eventually leaned closer to her father, pulling him into a hug 

 

"I love you Daddy" My princess says as they were in the hug. My heart swelled in joy and warmth, seeing them both makes my heart calm 

 

"I love you too, Princess. You and Mommy" He softly replies, gently pecking her little forehead as I caught his eyes looking at me 

 

"Forever" I added, smiling. Both stood up with Kathy in his arms as he pulled me in closer, as I began to lean my head and snuggle in closer to him 

 

After nine months, my family was complete again and I couldn't be more happier than I am now.
