Chapter five

Ghost

Jungkook was floating around the apartment, bored out of his wits. It had been a while since he had had fun with the six boys in the dorm. But now only two were home. The so-called mom and dad of the apartment. Rubbing his hands in excitement, Jungkook settles for following Namjoon around the apartment with no disregard for the boy’s privacy. While Namjoon showered, Jungkook sat on the toilet seat, humming to himself in his parallel world. He even helped Namjoon out with some beats by tapping on the sink in time with the older’s beat boxing. When Namjoon was in the kitchen, Jungkook was sitting on the countertop, kicking his heels against the cupboards, sounds only appearing in his parallel world. When Namjoon was eating, Jungkook was sitting across from him, watching his every move as he tried to play footsie with the leader. But that wasn’t the sort of entertainment he was searching for. When Namjoon and Jin finally was crossing paths after hours, Jungkook couldn’t help but grin excitedly to himself.

“Yo.” He called out to their world, making both of them stop just as they passed each other. They turned to face one another and just then Jungkook pulled down Namjoon’s sweats. Namjoon’s eyes widened as he bend over quickly, trying to pull his pants up. Jungkook prevented that from happening though with a foot pressed into the crotch of the fabric. He watched Jin’s reaction and laughed to himself as Jin stood beet red in his face, eyes wide and stuttering out syllables that never made proper sense to be understood.

“I...I’m sorry!” Namjoon apologized frantically as he struggled against Jungkook’s teasing.

“I-it’s okay.” Jin choked out, still eyeing Namjoon in his state of shock. Jungkook wasn’t sure he was actually aware of what he was doing, but he was going to keep this going until Namjoon noticed he was staring and use it to tease with later.

Namjoon lost his balance and stumbled forward and into Jin’s arms. That wasn’t the plan, but it just became ten times better. The two stared at each other in absolute disbelief and horrification about the situation. Jin’s arms had wrapped around Namjoon’s ribs to keep him up and they stared at one another. Jungkook removed his foot from inside Namjoon’s pants and stepped to watch them from the side. He floated forward and grinned as they had no more than a couple of inches between their faces and no one made a move to move.

“Kiss him.” He whispered between them. He observed their reactions. Namjoon looked like he contemplated it while Jin dropped Namjoon as he scrambled backwards. And that’s how the leader landed on the floor, knocking his jaw into the ground with his pants around his ankles. Jungkook felt absolutely successful when the front door opened and closed just as quickly with a scream coming from Taehyung.

It had been a long day in the label building. They had been picked up early morning by the van. They had spent every minute in the building, taking turns between dance practice, vocal training and recording. It was nearing midnight and they had been up since 4.30 that morning. Taehyung was looking out the window of the van, forehead rested against the cold surface. He was tired too, but just as he thought sleep had taken a hold of him like with the other members, it let go of him again and he was wide awake. He turned his head and looked into the van. He had gotten the front seat next to the driver and could see all other members.

Yoongi and Jimin was leaning against each other, Jimin drooling slightly onto Yoongi’s shoulder. Namjoon was laying against Jin’s shoulder who was leaning against the window. Lastly was Hoseok, spreading himself over two seats in the back, his back pressed against the door.

When the van finally pulled up by their apartment, Taehyung went out first, pulled the side door open and yelled for the others to wake up before he staggered inside first. He took a quick shower and was almost out of the bathroom when the first members entered the apartment too. He gave them a short exhausted glance before he went to the bedroom, pulled on a pair of boxers, hung the towel over the end of the bed before he fell on top of said bed and closed his eyes. He couldn’t sleep though. He listened to all the members climbing into bed after their turns in the bathroom and how they all fell asleep almost before they hit their beds. Namjoon was the last one to get out of the shower and Taehyung couldn’t wait for the last light to be switched off. Jin had left his light on so that Namjoon could find his way to bed when he was done. Taehyung pulled his duvet over his head and snuggled into the darkness the cover provided. The warmth and darkness helped sleep taking a firm grip on Taehyung’s body and the boy was soon gone to dreamland.

He hadn’t been asleep for long. He didn’t think he had actually been asleep at all. But he woke up with a loud turmoil from the kitchen. It was loud enough to wake up all heavy sleepers too. They were all sitting up in their beds, one panting heavily, one clutching their chest and the rest staring towards the kitchen with wide eyes. Taehyung couldn’t help but notice Namjoon’s bed was still empty.

“I’m going to scream bloody murder at Namjoon if he woke me up.” Taehyung gritted out through his teeth, swung his duvet off his body and stomped towards the kitchen, where in fact Namjoon was standing in the middle of all pots and pans they owned.

“I swear it wasn’t me.” Namjoon was quick to say, hands raised in a surrendering posture.

“How come you’re standing right in the middle of the crime scene now, as the only one awake, eh?” Taehyung demanded to know and Namjoon could only shrug.

“I don’t know. I was in the shower when I heard it and I thought one of you had gotten hurt.” Namjoon tried to explain himself. “I swear I didn’t do anything.” Namjoon said. Namjoon looked over Taehyung’s shoulder helplessly, obviously seeking some sort of support from the other members.

“You’re the only one out here Namjoon. If it wasn’t you who decided to empty the cabinets of pots, who the hell was it then?” Hoseok asked behind him. Taehyung nodded instantly, pulling his face into stern folds.

“He is right you know.” Taehyung said and crossed his arms over his chest.

“I don’t know who did it, but it wasn’t me.” Namjoon said looking around to each of the other members.

“Something weird is going on in this apartment. Someone knocked Yoongi’s and my head together one night a couple of nights ago.” Jimin started and looked between Namjoon and Taehyung. “And last night, someone made it seem like I confessed to Seokjin too. Something weird is definitely going on.” He said and looked around the room like he was searching for something.

“Stop protecting him.” Taehyung hissed and turned back to Namjoon. “Namjoon. Stay the quiet and go to bed so the rest of us can sleep, Hyung.” He spat at the leader before stomping off into the bedroom. “And don’t you dare clean up your mess today!” He shouted from the bedroom before he went onto the bed.

Jin pushed through the door with an exhausted yawn. He wanted nothing more than to crash in bed after practicing all day. He could hear Namjoon, Hoseok and Taehyung were right behind him. Yoongi and Jimin had been at home since Yoongi hadn’t been feeling too well that morning. So before they went to bed, he had to at least make sure he was getting better. Jimin had asked for permission to stay back with Yoongi and keep him company.

Jin walked towards the bedroom, hoping the second oldest was feeling better by now. He reached for the doorknob, twisting it slowly in case they were asleep. He didn’t want to wake them up if that was the case. Just as he was about to open the door a long drawn out moan of pleasure reached his ears and Jin reeled back as fast as he could.

“Holy hell.” He muttered and turned around to walk away from the door. “We...I don’t think we want to be home right now.” He told the other members honestly, feeling his cheeks and ears heat up with the sounds he had just experienced.

“Yes! Right there Hyung!” Came from inside the bedroom in the silence that had followed Jin’s message. Everyone widened their eyes in realization, some faster than others.

“! Yoongi and Jimin are ing aren’t they?!” Namjoon exclaimed in a loud whisper. They all nodded as more pleasured moans and the creaking of a bed sounded from the bedroom. Everyone backtracked on their toes not to make a single sound to disturb the couple behind the door. Jin kept a close eye on the bedroom door, trying to zone out the very private sounds that came from within the room as he walked towards the front door of their apartment.

“Why on earth are you so quiet in here?” Yoongi’s voice came from behind the group.

“Yeah, what’s the matter?” Jimin’s followed immediately after. The four boys turned around and stared at the two boys standing in doorway, coming from the outside.

“You...But you’re…” Jin said and pointed towards the bedroom. “You’re in there. Fu...playing. Why are you there?” Jin managed to say despite stumbling over words and pointing back and forth between the newly arrived boys.

“We...we are what?” Jimin asked looking more confused than ever.

“ing!” Came Taehyung’s helpful and crude reply before Seokjin managed to say anything. The pair choked on nothing and gave each other shocked glances before looking at Taehyung like he had said the most ridiculous thing in the world. But to emphasize Taehyung’s point, a pleasured scream came from inside their bedroom and the bed started creaking again. All six members of the band turned to look at the door in absolute horror.

“S-someone is having in our bedroom.” Hoseok stuttered and pointed accusingly at the door.

“Someone should kick them out.” Jimin offered as suggestion and the group chorused an agreement.

“Who’s going then?” Jin asked and looked around at the other members. “Namjoon?” He suggested. The leader wore an expression of absolute horror and shook his head almost desperately.

“No. I’m not going to open that door.” He refused. Jin looked around at the other members for any sign of volunteers. No one looked like they were prepared to kick the people out.

“Namjoon. You’re the leader.” Taehyung said in a low voice. The others gave out pitying hums of agreement. Jin could see how Namjoon tried to pick himself up to do it, but he obviously wasn’t succeeding. Jin reached over and gave him an encouraging squeeze on his shoulder before he pushed him towards their bedroom.

“I’ll kill you all after this.” Jin heard Namjoon muttering as he tiptoed towards the bedroom and opened the door. Jin was prepared to be overwhelmed by the smell of , a scream of surprise and a lot of other things he didn’t want to imagine, but nothing. He watched as Namjoon pushed the door more open and looked inside the room. Then he looked back out at them with a puzzled expression.

“What is it?” Jin asked quickly.

“No one. There is no one in here.” Namjoon claimed and entered their bedroom. Jin followed him with careful steps. He didn’t know what he had expected, but the empty bedroom wasn’t it despite of Namjoon’s words.

“What the hell?” He muttered lowly as he scanned the room, but nothing and no one where there. Everything was just like they had left it.

Yoongi was getting used to it. He knew whenever he was passing a mirror, the mirror would call him Sugar. It was a regular occurrence now, and he was used to it. The other five members had gotten used to it too and no one questioned it anymore. That was just how it was. And that took the fun out of it from Jungkook. Floating around in the hallway, the ghost for once kept quiet. It had Yoongi stop and stare right through the ghost at the mirror. He took a step backwards and passed the mirror again. Jungkook still kept quiet. Yoongi stepped right through Jungkook this time to look at the mirror closely. Jungkook came up behind him and leaned into his ear.

“Hey Sugar.” He whispered as sensually as he could. Yoongi blushed profusely and stepped backwards, Jungkook stepped with him and leaned in again. “Hey Sugar.” He repeated himself and Yoongi closed his eyes, shaking his head.

“Whoever you are, can you please stop this?” He requested and Jungkook almost felt bad for him. Keyword being almost. Materializing his touch just a little, Jungkook placed his hand on Yoongi’s lower back and felt him tense under the gentle touch. He didn’t even have time to repeat himself before Yoongi was running into the living room, screaming at the top of his lungs.

“The house is haunted! I swear it’s haunted!” He cried out as he shook Namjoon’s shoulders desperately. Jin had gotten up from the couch and tried to pry the rapper off their leader so he could comfort him properly. In the meantime, Jungkook laughed to himself as he floated into the bedroom in search of more fun.
