With A Little Help

With A Little Help

"But Jagiya, you have to go!" Your boyfriend, Taehyung, whined from his spot on the sofa. The two of you had been at it for a while now. He and the rest of the boys were going out for dinner, to celebrate all of their recent wins. You that it was great that the company wanted to treat the boys for all their hard work, but the one thing that you weren't too keen on was the fact that you weren't entirely used to eating with chopsticks yet.

You didn't always live in Korea, in fact you really only moved to Seoul about thirteen months ago. Deep down inside you knew that no one really cared if you could use chopsticks lol that well, but you couldn't help but feel anxious. What if they started laughing at you while you stared helplessly down at your plate of japchae?

"Tae, come on. I told you I can't go! Why don't you just have some quality time with your friends? Do whatever it is that the seven of you do when I'm not around," you said, fixing yourself a bowl of ramen before leaving the kitchen and joining his side. You pretended that you didn't actually see the look of annoyance on his face.

"Yah," the boy snapped, sitting up straight and suddenly becoming serious. "(Y/N). Why can't you go? I asked you last night if you were free, but as soon as I mention we are going out with the guys, you are suddenly too busy. Why?"

You hated when he did this. While dating Kim Taehyung was an absolute dream most of the time, he was also stubborn as hell. Once he became interested in something, he would never let it go. You groaned and buried your face in your hands. There was absolutely no way out of telling him. None at all.

Picking your head back up, you looked up at him to find his eyes staring back at you with the same intense expression that he wore before. "You're going to think it's really stupid," you whined, resting your head against the back of the couch. "You're going to think that I'm stupid."

"Cut that out," he cut in. "You are the smartest person I know besides Namjoon-hyung!"

You tried your hardest not to roll your eyes at him, as you knew he meant no harm by the comment.

"Taehyung..." You said, dragging out his name to show your reluctance. "Fine. I'll tell you. I...I still have trouble with chopsticks and I don't want the members to laugh at me."

It took him a second to process what you had said, since you had spoken so quickly, when he did understand, however, he burst out into laughter, causing you to glare.

"Yah! Kim Taehyung! My insecurities are not funny!" You shouted at him, earning a nod from your boyfriend, who knew that you were right, but he couldn't help to think the whole thing was funny.

"You can't be that bad, (Y/N)," Taehyung said after calming down enough to speak. "And even if you were, none of the hyungs would laugh at you. I promise."

You wanted to point out the fact that he said nothing about the maknae, Jungkook, but you knew that he would only tell you that Jungkook would be just as nice as the rest of the group. A sigh left your lips as you stared down at the bowl of noodles and broth in the bowl in front of you. You picked up the metal chopsticks and made a face of uncertainty without even knowing it.

You couldn't help but jump when you felt Taehyung take your hand in his and reposition the utensils in your hand. Your face tinted a pinkish color.

"I can help you practice," he whispered to you, causing shivers to run down your spine. "But on one condition."

You looked over at him curiously, however, you already knew what he was going to say.

"You have to come to dinner tonight."

This time, you didn't even try to suppress the eye roll at his cheesiness.

"Fine," you huffed. "But if anyone says anything, then you are so dead."

Chapter 1: So cute :) I can relate to both of them. I would be embarrassed with not knowing how to use chopsticks AND I might just laugh like Tae did when he heard what the problem was :D
