"We are the MYNAME!" (It's October by the way.. so they already debuted, but there's a really weird heat wave in Korea)

You stood there awkwardly, finally realizing that these people were IDOLS. All your other dance members were just standing there as well, not knowing what to do. Your manager snorted and said, "Introductions would be nice."

The red-haired boy said "I go first!"

 

Chae-jin's (Jin-seok) POV:

We entered the room and there were 2 boys and 2 girls standing there. They seemed really surprised seeing us, and I was surprised too... they're younger than me? The 2 boys were pretty good looking and the girls were pretty. The shorter girl pulled her shorts a bit lower as if she was uncomfortable, but it seemed like all of them were. Their manager said something that I din't hear and Seyong hyung suddenly said, "I go first! Annyeong, I'm Seyong" and made a peace sign. Gunwoo hyung said "Gunwoo, the leader" with a little nod while Insoo hyung acted cool with a tough "Insoo". Jun. Q hyung did a slight bow and introduced himself.

Not knowing it was my turn, I waited until Seyong started laughing at pointing at me.

"What, hyung?" I asked.

"Introduce yourself, fool!"

"Oh...." I turned to the 4 people. "I'm Chaejin... ah Jin-seok's my real name."

"Oh my dear Maknae...maknaes are so adorable! But so infuriating sometimes...." Insoo sighed.

"Who's the maknae in your group?" Seyong asked. The shorter girl stepped out and bowed to us. So formal! I was used to being pushed around, but she was bowing. To me. I liked it.

"I'm the maknae... Lee Hae-mi... 15 years old." She had sweet voice that was on the lower side, but wasn't too low or too high. I noticed she wasn't shaking... unusual for regular people when they meet us or other idols. She wasn't covering her face and there was confidence in her voice too.

One boy stepped out and said, "I'm Lee Sung-joon, the leader of our group at 16 years old." He had a confident aura too and seemed pretty easy-going.

The other boy introduced himself as Kim Sang-min and the other girl was Oh Eunmi, both 16 as well. Their manager clapped his hands together and said, "Now time to get to business!

 

Back to Your POV:

"Let me see the script you guys." You went to your backpack and took the thin script out. As you handed it to your manager, MYNAME sat down on the floor.

"Hey, " your manager said, "So you decided on Electrify for your group name?"

"Yup!" Eunmi said, bouncing toward the manager. She looked at the script in his hands and pointed to one section. "We can film this right now to show you our group intro."

"Do you have it all memorized and everything?"

"Pretty much... and we can ad-lib too." Sang-min said.

"Ok then... Gunwoo... can you guys sit in the chairs for now? When they start dancing, we'll get you guys involved."

 

Chae-jin's POV:

We all sat in the chairs as the 4 kids got ready. They set up the tripod, camera, and microphone, and then BOOM! they started filming! How long did they even practice? From the sound of their comments before, it seems as if they didn't practice that much.  

"Annyeonghaseyo!" Sung-joon said with an MC-like voice."I am Lee Sung-joon. 16 years old and the leader of our group!" He said his lines with hand motions and an outgoing personality we could have never guessed he had just a few minutes before.

"We like eating bread and rice, but I usually eat the least in the group. My favorite color is red and that reminds me of strawberries which makes me hungry and also reminds me of another member in our group who always smells like fruit." He babbled on for a few seconds or so, slowly backing away from the camera, but still having a very animated performance. Sang-min walked to the side and Sung-joon pulled him over, planted him in front of the camera, and walked away as Sang-min swayed to gain his balance and then took over.

"Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Kim Sang-min and also 16 years old, but I'm 3 months younger than hyung." He gave a little bow, and then flipped his hair dramatically. He started blushing as he whisphered to the camera, "Sung-joon hyung made me do that." He turned his back on the camera and started walking away as he said, "Ya! Eunmi, where are you?" She was sitting next to Hae-mi against the wall and she slowly got up, careful not to make a sound.

"You're supposed to be filming now! Where did you go?" Sang-min circled around as if he was looking for her. She finally appeared in front of the camera and said, "Boo!" with her fingers making a peace sign. Sang-min jumped a little and started scolding her with big hand motions while Eunmi just stood there looking bored. They were semi-facing the camera when Eunmi suddenly pushed Sang-min out.

"Ya!" he shouted, but Eunmi walked closer to the camera and said,"Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Oh Eunmi. I'm 6 months younger than Sang-min, but still 16 years old." As she was saying this, Hae-mi walked toward the camera, making sure she didn't appear while Eunmi was talking. Eunmi grabbed her arm and literally dragged her in front of the camera.

"Eonni," she whined a little while showing some aegyo. Eunmi just slapped her lightly and walked out of the camera's view. Haemi walked up to the camera and said, "Annyeonghaseyo." with a full 90 degree bow. "My name is Lee Hae-mi and I'm the group's maknae at 15 years old." She played with her hands cutely and gave the camera a cautious wink. She then turned around and said, "Eunmi eonni, why in the world did you make me do that?!? It's so embarrasing!!" Eunmi walked in front of the camera and just hugged Hae-mi and stuck her tongue out, saying, "I love you too." Haemi on the other hand, tried to pry Eunmi's arms from her waist and when she did, she jumped up and down a little saying , "Eonniiiiii". Eunmi just smiled at her and Haemi sighed and put her face in her hands. Sung-joon then came from behind Hae-mi and picked her up and ran around while she protested and the other 2 doubled over with laughter. They all finally gathered in the center in front of the camera after a few seconds. The order was Sung-joon, Eunmi, Haemi, then Sang-min.

"And so now...," Sung-joon said to the camera between panting breaths. " we introduce you to..."

"ELECTRIFY!" They shouted in unison and bowed to the camera.

"Perfect," their manager said as he turned off the camera. The 4 kids sat on the floor, tired from the non-stop filming.

"Wait..." Gunwoo-hyung walked over to them."No offense... but what was all that for? Whatever you guys said past the names/ person introduction didn't make any sense."

Sang-min laughed a little and his cheeks got red. "I was going to speed up the nonsense part to make it sort of seem like a time lapse and the voices will be chipmunked when it's sped up so it's sort of funny..."

"... That's actually a pretty good idea. and it's original for an application like this too." Insoo-hyung added. The manager called us over and we sat on the floor next to Electrify.

 

Back to your POV:

Our run-through of the video was actually pretty good, and I was pleasantly surprised that MYNAME liked our idea. The Chae-jin... Jin-seok guy sat down next to me while Jun-Q was on the other side of me. I suddenly became self-concious again, pulled down my shorts, and pulled my legs into my body as i wrapped my arms around them, going into the ball position.

"Hey guys," our manager said. "Most of that was ad-lib.... do you want to use that run-through?"

"Huh?" Jun-Q suddenly looked up. "That was mostly ad-lib?!" You laughed a little and looked down.

"Yeah... the only that was scripted was the order of people and the introductions of our members and group name."

"Bu how in the world was it so smooth?" Se-yong asked.

"I guess... we just know each other so well that we can put together things really fast." They stared at you guys with astonished looks on their faces and all you could was give a tiny sheepish smile and bury your face in your arms.
 

"That's amazing... and you aren't even debuted yet!" Jun-Q said again.

"You guys are good for rookies too.... we watched your MV a few days ago."

"Thank you, You wouldn't believe how hard we've worked to get this far." Gunwoo said.

"That all said... how is your dancing? cuz that's what we're mainly here for..." Insoo said with a smile. I somehow knew he didn't want to make us feel that we were worse than them or more inexperienced.

"We could show you... but it might a while since we haven't practiced the routine at all...."

"But hyung.. we don't have time. Our schedule begins in 10 minutes." Chae-jin said.

"Oh that's right! we have to go.... but we'll be back in 2 hours! can you guys manage to put together a little bit of it for us when we get back?"

"2 hours?" You bit your lip... you were gonna have to work really hard.

"You don't have to do the whole thing.... it's such a short amount of time." Seyong tried to symmpathize with you guys. You all smiled at each other (Electrify) since you knew no matter what, you guys were gonna do the whole thing anyway.

Just then a woman's head appeared in the door.

"Guys... we have to go now since you have to get changed into your stage clothes." the MYNAME boys all stood up, but Chae-jin suddenly stumbled. Without realizing it, you had stretched your legs out just as he was walking and you tripped him. You jumped up and said, "Im so sorry, sunbae!" He just smiled and said "It's okay. It's not your fault." He looked down because he was blushing a little from embarrasment.

"Oh... you guys don't need to be so formal! Call us hyung or oppa since our managers said we were going to spend a lot of time with you guys...." Gunwoo said. You turned your head to look at your manager for confirmation and he just said, "It's true..."

As they were walking out the door, you all stood to see them off and Chae-jin shot behind his shoulder at you guys. You didn't know what to do so you just said, "Come back safely, oppa....." and Chae-jin gave you guys a smile and then they disappeared into the hallway.

maknae- youngest of the group

sunbae- what a younger person calls a older person that has more experience than them (ie. in school, at work, in the entertainement industry)

oppa- what a girl calls an older guy (if they're close)

hyung- what a guy calls and older guy (if they're close)

 

sorry this update took so long...... i couldn't decided if i wanted to split my idea into different chapters or just one.....
