New Beginning....

Dancing to the Beat of my Heart

These are just character introductions to start off:

You: Lee Hae-mi (it's blue when you're talking)

14 in America, 15 in Korea. you've lived in America all of your life, but growing up as a Korean-American, you're fluent in both English and Korean. You can play piano, guitar, and most of the brass instruments. You love singing and dancing but are too shy to show other people since you don't think you're that good. You're looks are attractive (try to think of a mix between So Hee from Wonder Girls and IU? kind of... mostly the shape of their eyes.. the picture is the closest i could find), but not outstanding, except when you smile. Your smile can light up the whole world.... and that's why you're really good with little kids. They also love it when you play peek-a-boo because of your abmormal-for-an-asian big eyes. You're outgoing when you need to be, but otherwise you are shy and quiet. You are very academically strong and really good at cooking/baking.... but you can be really clumsy sometimes. You are also a perfectionist who is really hard on herself when she makes mistakes. You also have a talent for understanding people and their situations and people notice that you always give your undevoted attention to the person you're listening to.

Friends/Dance team:

Lee Sung-joon (it's red when he's talking)

He is 1 1/2 years older than you and moved from Korea to America at a very young age. He's one grade above you, so you guys don't see each other at school, but your families have been close for years so you get to see each other often. He can play electric guitar, bass, and piano and shares your love for dancing. He's a really good older brother type and is really caring. He's pretty smart and his looks are attractive (sort of like onew from ShinEE but messier and younger.. picture is closest), but it's his charisma that draws everybody's attention. He's usually the loudest one of your friends, but knows when to quiet down and listen. He genuinely cares for his friends, but he can be over-protective at times.

Kim Sang-min (it's green when he's talking)

He is 1 year older than you and is in the same grade at Sung-joon. He can play the drumset and most string instruments. He has pretty boy looks (kind of like L.joe from Teen Top and sung-jong from Infinite ... i cannot find a proper picture.. but it's kinda close), but he is actually more introverted than others and gets embarrased easily. He is really smart, but doesn't flaunt his brains or looks. When it is necessary, he has a very commanding presence and surprises people by acting very loving and caring at the oddest moments. He loves jokes and catching people off guard especially with his music when he himself gets distracted and spaces off easily.

Oh Eunmi: (it's pink when she's talking)

She's just under one year older than you, but she's in the same grade at Sung-joon and Sang-min. She can play the guitar and most string instruments. She's much more outgoing than you and loves taking risks. She's acts really cutesy and immature when around you guys, but can be very mature and composed when the time calls. She's a really good older sister since she can make anyone feel better and make them laugh. She tends to get distracted like Sang-min and remember things at the most inopportune times. She's very confident of herself and her looks since she's attractive, but like you, she isn't supermodel status. (imagine a younger, not so fierce Ga-yoon from 4minute and Goo Hara from Kara... picture is sorta close)

*swoosh * the doors of the airport closed behind you and a sticky breeze blew in your face. Eunmi walked next to you and said, "So this is Korea...."

It was October and the hot weather outside completely contrasted the cool airport. Sung-joon and Sang-min were hopping around the water fountain a few feet ahead of you guys and a silly grin spread across your face. Boys will be boys. Just then, a car pulled up and a 30-some yr old man walked towards you guys. He asked, "Are you Lee Hae-mi and Oh Eunmi?" We nodded slowly as he said, "I'm your manager from New Day Entertainment. You'll be staying in my sister's house and I'll drop by to see how you're doing in a few hours." He picked up your luggages and put them in the car. Sung-joon noticed you guys getting ready to leave and pulled Sang-min into the car.

After about 30 minutes had passed, you arrived at your manager's sister's house and he dropped your off. Annyeoungie gasaeyo. You all awkwardly bowed to your manager. He looked at you guys for a few seconds and finally said, "Look. I know you guys are having a hard time adjusting to this all of a sudden, but it'll be fun. Trust me. I also know about your situation, but I don't want to harm you. In this world, it's all about the businesss you know? and people will do some bad stuff to get what they want......" He looked around before he got into the car. "I'll be here at 8 pm ok?" and POOF. he was gone.

You all turned around, and your eyes popped open.

"It's a bakery!" you squealed. Eunmi jumped up and down saying, "I know right?" You both had huge smiles on your face and the boys just laughed.

"Those are our little pigs for you," Sung-joon whispered to Sang-min.

"Ya! I heard that!" you exclaimed as Eunmi playfully hit the boys on the head. "We don't eat THAT much," she added.

"Then why does your backpack have goldfish, shrimp crackers, a box of cookies, 3 yogurt juices, a packet of ramen, and and 7 chocolate bars in it?" Sang-min asked.

"You looked in my backpack?!" Eunmi cried.

To end your little fight, a woman walked out of the bakery door towards you guys and put her hands on her hips. You wiped the smiles off your faces and stood in uncomfortable silence.

“I suppose you’re the kids my brother told me about?”

“.....Yes.” we replied and bowed to show respect.

There was an awkward moment until the woman exclaimed, “You guys are so cute! I have a little rascal myself inside there,” She pointed to the bakery. “Well, come on, get your stuff. I’ll show you around and try to make the transition easier for you guys. Introductions will come later so hurry! It’s really hot out here!”

You sneaked looks at each other and all of you burst into laughter, following the woman into the bakery.

The woman went into the back of the bakery and opened a discrete door. You guys walked into a hallway with 3 directions to go. There was the right staircase, left staircase, and a closed-doored room a little to the left. The woman started to go to the left and Eunmi couldn't help but ask, " Ajhumma... What's the closed room for?"

"Ah! Don't call me that. It makes me sounds old... call me Emou! And that's your dance studio!" She smiled at us and walked up the stairs.

"We have our own dance studio?!?" Sung-joon whispered with excitement. "I wonder what it looks like..." Eunmi was holding onto the doorknob when a voice came from the top of the stairs.

"If you guys hurry and unpack, you can explore the different rooms faster!"

We all scrambled up the stairs and there were 3 doors on top.

"The left room is for the girls, the middle's the bathroom with a shower, and the right room's for the boys. After you unpack you guys can go into  the dance room and you already know what that is. The right staircase is where my family sleeps, ok? Dinner's at 7:00pm so come down in 2 hours. We'll figure out the details and introductions later. Now I have to get back to work." Giving you one last encouraging look, she went down the stairs.

The boys went into their room while Eunmi and you headed into your own room. It was pretty plain, but cute. There was one window on the left and 2 short beds lined on the right wall sticking out. There were flower bedsheets and the closet was in the middle. You put your backpack on the bed closest to the wall to claim it yours and immediately started hanging your clothes. After about 20 minutes of unpacking and transfering things to the bathroom, you finally noticed that Eunmi was lying on her bed next to her unopened suitcase.

"Eunmi eonni... What's wrong?" You asked softly. She sighed.

"It's just everything's going so smoothly and quickly, and it seems like nothing's wrong... but everything's wrong about this, you know?"

You sat next to her on her bed and sighed. "Yeah.... I know... and I already miss everyone back home since we didn't get to even say goodbye..."

"You're not thinking this is all your fault right Hae-mi? 'cause it's not, ok?"

"But if I had just ran away at that time and if I had been stronger..."

"It's not your fault! He would have found us again one way or another and there was nothing you or anyone could do about it."

You sat there with your head down, knowing she was right but still feeling bad. She sighed and at that moment, Sung-joon and Sang-min entered your room. One look at your faces caused them to feel down as well since they were feeling the exact same way.

*Sigh * You all sighed at the same time and a tiny smile escaped your lips.

"So... Do you guys want to see the dance room or not?"
