It's official!

Dancing to the Beat of my Heart

"Ew..." You said, looking in the mirror. Your eyes were swollen from all the crying last night, but you couldn't do anything about it. You put your contacts in (you wear glasses) and quickly tied your hair into a high ponytail. After pulling on some shorts and a random shirt, you rushed downstairs into the dance room where the others were.

"Gwenchana?" Sung-joon asked. You nodded. The past was the past and you couldn't do anything about it now.

Sang-min laughed a little , startling the rest of you.

"Mwo?" you demanded?

"It's just..... you're usually the strongest one out of all of us, so it was really strange to see you cry like that."

You blushed a little and Eun-mi started laughing.

"Her ears are getting red." You immediately covered your ears with your hands since they were the most sensitive part of your body. Now Sung-joon joined in on the laughter but you let them since they knew your habits and patterns.

"It's not that funny..." you grumbled and sat down next to Sang-min. He handed you the dance application. On the top it read:

Fill out the portion below accurately. False information will lead to immediate disqualification. Must be 13 years old or above to participate. 50 contestants will be chosen through this application process. You can send the audition tape to this email address XXXXXXXXXXX@XXXXX. Remember to include the name and age of each member in the tape, the name of the group (if a group), and a complete dance routine in at most 3 minutes. Good luck to all applicants!  -Soul of Seoul Dance Competition Board

You read the information Sung-joon had already filled out, and noticed the "group name" box was empty.

"So... what's our name going to be?" you asked.

"That's why I need your help...." Sung-joon said. "You know I'm really bad at making up cool names!"

You laughed. In all the talent shows you had done in elementary school, your group name had been "The Deadly Dino Dancers". NG.

"Maybe it should do something with our age... since I'm pretty sure we'll be one of the youngest groups there." Eunmi suggested.

"Well, younger people usually have more energy right?" Sang-min said. "And we supposedly give older people energy... Like old people look at us and say, 'They're so young and free! I remember when I was their age! Oh just looking at them gives me energy!' "

You just stared at him, giving Sang-min a weirded out look. "So you're saying.. we're like batteries?"

"Hey what's that battery maker company thing?"

"Duracell?"

"no..... Oh! Energizer!"

"If that's our name, we'll sound like a caffiene drink."

"Energize... Electrocute?"

"Then we'll sound like we're dead...."

"Stop being so negative!"

"Sorry.... but I just don't want to end up with a name like "The Deadly Dino Dancers" again...."

"That's hurts...."

"How about electrify? it sounds like electricity which is pretty cool, but it means to amaze and thrill and stuff like what we want to do to our audience....."

"That's good... but Koreans can't say that easily."

"Then we'll be even more unique! I like it."

"What do you think, Sang-min?"

"It's better than the names you come up with....."

"Then... it's official! Electrify...Hwaiting!"

Sung-joon wrote your group name in the box and said, "All we have to do now is make the audition video."

"I think we should do individual dancing in the beginning, but then blend into a group, synchronized dance."

"I was thinking that too... it'll show our own solo skills and our sharpness as a group as well."

"Hey kids.. are you really busy right now?

You guys looked over to the door and saw Emou's head.

"Sort of... why?"

"It's almost lunchtime... and I realized I don't have a lot of groceries to make lunch. Do you think you can run to the supermarket and buy some groceries?"

Sung-joon winked at you and Eunmi and said, "You guys could do get the groceries.... Sang-min and I could write the video script while you're gone."

In a quieter voice he whispered, "You guys can get some snacks too.... pigs."

Immediately Eunmi stood up and said, "We'll go!"

"But where's the market, Emou?" you asked.

"Oh it's only a 2 minutes walk from here! Just go outside the back door, turn left, and walk straight for about 4 blocks. You can't miss it; it's pretty big!"

"What back door...?"

"The one the staircase leads to," she replied, pointing to the back of the dance room. You all did a synchronized face-palm. How in the world were you so stupid sometimes?

"Haha... well I'll go get the money and the list and then you're off!"

"I guess this is it?" You were standing in front of a white and green building that had tons of cars in front of it.

"I suppose..." You got a shopping cart and headed into the supermarket. There was a fresh produce section. seafood/meat section, snacks, alcoholic, food court, and practically everything else. Eunmi made a bee-line to the snacks saying, "Go start on the list. I'll catch up right after I find....."

"Eonni, " you sighed and started wheeling your cart toward the produce section. "So I need 5 Kobacha squashes, 10 zucchinis, 3 bags of carrots, 10 bags of chestnuts.... why in the world does she need so many chestnu- AH!" You yelped a little when something sharp hit your left ankle. You knelt down and examined the injury. It was bleeding a little, but it wasn't deep.

"I'm so sorry!" you heard a deep voice say. "Are you okay?" You stood up to find a tall blonde boy moving a cart away and shooting worried glances with his big eyes at your ankle. The cart must have been the sharp thing that hit your ankle.

"Mm... I'm okay." You said.

"Do you need a band-aid?" The stranger asked.

"No," you smiled. "I'm fine. My friend should have one in her backpack."

"Oh...Okay then. I'm sorry again." He seemed a little startled by your smile. (You had no idea that you were REALLY pretty when you smiled) He turned around and started walking away when he yelled "Hey, Minwoo! That cart you pushed made some girl bleed! Now, how do you feel?"

You turned around, suppressing a laugh since his behavior reminded you of Sung-joon and Sang-min. After you got all the groceries, Eunmi finally caught up to you with 3 bags of snacks in her arms.

"Eonni, do you have a band-aid?" you asked.

"What happened?" she asked as she put the bandage on your ankle.

"A cart ran into me and this blonde guy said sorry... but it seemed like his friend accidentally pushed it or something."

"Was he cute?"

"I guess... I didn't really pay attention to his looks... but he had really big eyes."

"Like yours?"

"I have big eyes?"

 "You're impossible, Hae-mi."

On the walk back to the house/bakery, Eunmi tried to make conversation, but you didn't hear a word she said. For some odd reason, the only thing you could think about were those boy's big, round eyes.

Gwenchana? - Are you okay?

NOTE! the conversations are always in Korean, unless I specify that it's in English. I just throw in the Korean to help stabilize the setting more.
