*MIKE’s POV*

A litle rain fallin wetting my car’s window. I don’t know why this whole day is always raining. Student council’s meeting has been completed, a new chairman has been chosen, and I resigned in relief. Soon, the final exam preparation begins, and students in last grade must work extra hard for graduation.

I m forced to deliver a portfolio of student council owned Mean to her home because she skipped a meeting today, so she as my council secretary still need to recapt it as report. I also have to complete some unfinished reports. Pie said, Mean unwell, so she go home early.

Mean’s residential is beautiful. Her house is the largest in the complex. Although I've only been there once, I still remember the luxurious interior. Spacious garden with a garage containing four luxury cars were lined up neatly, small security post at the edge of the yard, and a large high fence that protects a large house in it. Mean is more fortunate than most people, but I guess even matter can not guarantee happiness because this time she began to lose things that are more important.

I saw a black car parked haphazardly in the street, not far from Mean’s. It looks ike Kim’s car because it has been modified on front and rear.

I slowed down, slightly bent to see the car plate. Frosted glass window by rainwater.

I see two bodies huging each other.

Is he Kim? No mistake, surely Kim, with his tall body, I know it for sure. They are also wearing our school uniform. The girl in his arms is not too obvious, perhaps Mean. Are they fight in the street, huh? I almost stopped, but not so. They certainly need privacy. I better direct give this portfolio at Mean’s house maid ; there is no difference.

I almost drove past them when Kim off his arms, and the girl bring her head up, IT’S PIE!!

Car horn behind me startled. I quickly parked the car in front of Kim, then come out. They both jumped by slamming the door of my car. More surprised again, for sure, to see me.

My eyes caught Pie’s hand, still held Kims.

"What’s wrong?" My voice is hoarse, ask for an explanation. What are they doing? Earlier hugs on the road, now holding hands. And, why Pie like crying?

Pie's face was pale, as well as Kim. Her eyes are sad, as I never seen before.

"What’s wrong?" I repeated the question, at the same time very afraid to hear the answer.

"It's okay, just not feeling well ...." Pie retorted quickly, nervously. "I will going home, Mike. Kim wants to Mean home."

"But ..." what are you guys doing?

"No,, nothing." Pie repeat, but I stood there uncomfortably, waiting for an explanation. I'm sure there is something they are hiding.

For a moment, my eyes met with Kim. We stared at each other a long time, until finally he said, softly.

"Mike, I love Pie."

Pie stop walking, same like my heart beat, stop beating a second.

Maybe I wrong hear him, or maybe Kim just kidding?

If he kidding, why his face is so serious?

*PIE’s POV*

The patch of vacant land, not far from Mean’s house, with a light rain coming down, the three of us stood limp with a chaos feeling.

I don’t know Mike suddenly here, passing this housing complex with his car. He see me and Kim hugged. Cliche, indeed, but that's what happened. Coincidences be accidental; maybe it was intentional because our destiny is already not allowed to lie anymore.

Mike still stood looking at the two of us, asking for an explanation. Fists clenched, rain soaked his glasses, but he remained standing there, waiting.

What I have to say?
