Taehyung needed to know.
He had to know why Jimin suddenly broke into tears like that. It hurt him a lot, thinking back about the talk. A half part of him was sure the story was about them two, but he had no idea of the so called third wheel. Was it really about he and Jimin? If yes, the next question was: who was this best friend? Why did they want to break them apart?
Let's say that the boy in the story was Jimin. The point was Taehyung didn't know any of Jimin's best friend. The smaller ever said that he barely made any friends since he didn't know when, so it should be easy to find out. But Taehyung only knew Jimin for a month, there was only a tiny bit of Jimin in the past that he was told. Jimin wasn't a talkative person and Taehyung didn't force him to spill everything if he didn't feel like want to.
Jungkook was the only person he might find the answer from.
Jimin didn't want to give up.
It was Taehyung's sweet words that made him sure of it. He was sure that Taehyung loved him as much as he did love the other, or even more. It wouldn't bring him into tears if Taehyung wasn't sincere about his feeling. He could feel it, the way Taehyung comforted him with gentle kiss, it was different Taehyung he knew. The more mature Taehyung, the protective Taehyung, but still unmistakably the Taehyung he loved.
Deep down inside his heart he wondered why such a nice person like Taehyung was willing to care about him. He was like nothing more than a cup of paper, who could easily change its shape only by scrunching it a bit. Fragile, if we could say. Jimin was insecured, he needed someone to make him sure that he could be loved, that he didn't have to worry about anything. And now he had Taehyung by his side without any conditions, he couldn't be more thankful.
Jungkook had to understand why he chose to keep the relationship.
The tears on Jimin's face had dried, he no longer cried but still sniffling occasionally. He didn't want to sleep, not after what happened. He was afraid that now Taehyung knew the truth and would leave him alone. He couldn't handle it by himself, the fear was all over him. He didn't realize it but he was hugging Taehyung, clinging onto the taller to let him knew what he felt.
Taehyung sighed. Jimin looked so fragile right now, made him wanted to stay so bad. He wasn't bothered by the fact that Jimin was impossibly trying to glue their bodies together. Forehead on his shoulder blade, lips brushed his collarbone, arms around his neck, legs tangled. Taehyung was locked by Jimin, there was no way out. But he felt numb being on this position. Slowly, he moved his hand from Jimin's waist to his hair, took some strands on his finger and played with it. He placed a kiss on Jimin's crown before whispered.
"Aren't you going to sleep, Jiminie?"
The said boy inhaled deeply and shook his head. He even snuggled deeper. Taehyung chuckled lightly.
"Well then, it's fine if you don't want to sleep but I'm tired." Taehyung yawned. "And I can't go anywhere because I'm tr
