"Where the hell have you been?"
.
Jimin didn't expect he would be welcomed by his cousin's sharp tongue. He forgot that Jungkook was always checking on him like everyday, if not three times a week. He was always curious of what Jimin did, what Jimin ate, who Jimin met, and many more nonsense questions that Jimin rather felt annoyed.
Call him possessive but that was the reality. Jungkook loved Jimin too much until he felt like wanna protect the other so bad. He looked at Jimin as a fragile boy that needed a guard, just because of his height, no need to mention the age. Jungkook felt the responsibility of taking care the older because Jimin could be clumsy sometimes, and he lived alone. He wasn't the type to easily befriend with anyone since he was quite an introvert. So, who else would be accompanying him?
Jungkook knew Jimin too well to notice that he bit his bottom lip to make up an excuse. His fingers fumbled with the t-shirt hem as he was nervous. And his eyes darted to anywhere but Jungkook because he was afraid that he would be scolded.
Yeah, Jimin was older but Jungkook had this undeniable control of him. And Jungkook was really proud of this. He could turn any simple thing to be his advantage, to force Jimin to obey him.
"I was with my friend." Jimin managed to speak without stuttering. "Sorry for not telling you."
Jungkook narrowed his eyes, didn't believe of what he just heard. He searched for any sign of lies on Jimin's eyes, but he found nothing. Jimin was saying the truth, he assumed. Sighing, he signalled for the latter to sit down.
"Don't do that again.." Jungkook muttered. ".. hyung.."
Jimin smiled at the nickname because there was only a special moment Jungkook would consider him as his hyung. It was when the younger felt worried of him. He could say that his cousin cared about him so much, and so did he.
When Jimin nodded, Jungkook flashed a smile and hugged the shorter boy tightly. He couldn't be mad at Jimin, not for a long time.
Jimin decided to spill everything about Taehyung. At first Jungkook wasn't interested. He even wanted to leave but he noticed the way Jimin's eyes sparkled and he smiled more than usual. The younger gave up. Jimin looked so happy with only telling him about this Taehyung guy. He chose to give them a chance.
"I'm aware that you go out more often lately." Jungkook started his interrogation. "But I have no idea you got yourself a boyfriend."
"Don't be like that." Jimin blushed and rubbed his back neck. "I can't live alone forever, can I?"
"Yeah yeah whatever." Jungkook clicked his tongue. "Bring this guy here. I wanna judge the person who tries to steal my Jimin hyung."
With that so called threat, Jungkook got up from his seat and left the apartment. Jimin smiled at the childish-possessive side of the younger, but he couldn't do anything. Jungkook had always been like this. He knew it. It was about the time when both of them would meet.
He hoped his cousin would like Taehyung.
Jimin went to the coffee shop alone, he didn't have any date with Taehyung that day. He was going to spend the afternoon and enjoyed it by himself. The weather was nice, the sky was clear and the wind wasn't too strong. He sat in the corner of the shop, looking out of the window while hands cupping the warm mug. He was thinking about Taehyung and Jungkook, about how to arrange the meet up for them.
Sighing, he rested his elbows on the table and placed his head on the palms. It would be a bit difficult, since Jungkook was way too protective over him. His cousin wouldn't easily let anybody went around him, not when he barely made friends, Jungkook was like his guardian that naturally had to decide everything for him. Sometimes he hated the fact that he was older than Jungkook but he couldn't act more mature like he should be. And he was embarrassed of the way his cousin put him like an elementary school kid and shooed everyone who seemed not good enough to be his friends.
But Jimin loved Jungkook. He loved how protective the younger was, like nobody could do the same for him. It meant Jungkook cared about him, a lot. Both of them did care of each other. After all, Jungkook was the only one Jimin had grown attached of. Before he met Taehyung, of course.
Taehyung was the first person Jimin could be comfortable of within short time. Maybe it was because of the playful aura around the taller. Not to mention he had warm smile and aegyo that Jimin couldn't resist, even though sometimes it was irritating because Jimin always lost to it.
Two different personalities between two most important people in his life. He wondered if it could work. Indeed, Jungkook was strict toward him but there were times when he was back to his normal age, acted childish and cute only to get what he wanted. Taehyung, even with all of cheerful side and smile, still had side of gentleness that could make him felt safe just by hugging each other.
"Jiminie?"
The called boy got pulled out of his thought and looked up.
"Oh? Tae?"
Taehyung smiled before plopped down on the seat in front of him. "What are you doing here?"
"Thinking of you."
