When he's lost

But then it's a lie

It's not real

It's all make-believe

And Kyungsoo doesn't know

Walking down the narrow path

With the darkness shadowing the sides

I’m guarded

And made to wear this jacket

As we walk going to the light

And they say it’s gonna be okay

But I’m scared

Because I know the brightness has more evil

Than the dark

And then we enter this room

And it’s so white

Yet so scary

And the light is blinding me

And the next moment

They grab me

And tie me down

And I fight

Of course I’ll try to fight

But I can’t

Because I’m weak

And I’ve no idea about anything

I don’t even know this place

Or these people

And next thing I know I just give out

I fall on the bed

And they hurry

They strap me down

But why

I don’t want to hurt them

I’m just scared

Because they wear masks

And white coats

And I see all those shiny tools

And dark shadows start to appear

And I can’t breath anymore

And there’s this noise

It scares me more

The beeping of this machine scares me

I want to scream

But I can’t

Where’s my voice

They try to calm me down

But I can’t hear their words

It’s all broken voices

And screams

And it’s scary

And I feel a tiny pinch

And the screaming stops

And I stop struggling

My skin is raw

Because of the straps

But I don’t care

I feel good

I feel calm

And the shadows slip back into the dark

And it’s quite

I don’t hear anything

I still see white

But I’m okay

I’m still scared

But I’m okay

And I haven’t realized

I’m crying

And they remove the straps

I want to run

But I can’t

I’m numb

Everywhere

My legs

My arms

I can’t feel them

All of them

And I can’t run

I feel hopeless

But at least I’m calm

And they take me down from the bed

And they make me sit

On a chair

With wheels

And they take me away

Take me back to my room

Which is white

And the walls are soft

And they remove the jacket

And they just throw me on the floor

But it’s soft too

So I’m not hurt

I just curl up

Into a pathetic little ball

And I cry

I cry a lot

But I hear the footsteps

On the padded floor

I sniffle

And I look up

And he’s there

And he’s smiling

And his smile is everything

It can calm me down

Without hurting me

He can silence the voices

And shoo away the monsters

He is Kai

He never talked

I just called him Kai

He needs a name

I thought

So he is Kai

He never spoke

But his smile assures me

That I’ll be okay

And he makes me lie on his lap

As he runs his hand through my hair
