How Was I Suppose To Know, That Getting A Tattoo Is Considered Rebel?
I.F.F Inseparable Friends ForeverYour POV
I'm going to get this over and done with. Getting something permanently featured onto your body isn't such a bad thing right? There must be a tattoo parlour somewhere in Seoul. I quickly grabbed my flowy long grey cardigan sweater, hanging on the door knob and ran out to get a taxi. To pass time, I watched the colourful lights of Seoul run across the view of the window. I pay the driver and got out. People strode around, loudly chatted as they enjoyed the scent of street cart food and the scenery of stands and displays of fresh fruit and daily needs. Ah yes, the aroma of a market city. Im pretty sure I use to come here with my parents a lot in middle school. It was quite breezy tonight... but refreshing.
Time passed by quickly, but finally I had found what I was looking for. The parlour looked very lonely, despite the female employee working her night shift. She leaned over the counter, yawning from boredom. I entered slowly, doubting that I might of come to a dodgy parlour. The worker's expression brightened as soon as she saw me."Welcome! You’re here for a tattoo right?" She asked. She stepped out from behind the counter and looked very tall and feminine. Her small, simple but many tattoos displayed upon her body, surprising suited her very well. From behind, she held my forearms as she lead me to a leather, lowered back seat. I sat down nervously and rested my back against it."So what would you like Unni to do for you sweetie?" She says with much enthusiasm and sits beside me. "I … I don’t know. I just came here without even thinking of what tattoo design I should get, or where I should get it … sorry". She frowned at me and looked concerned."Honey, you seem to have a lot on your mind." She smiled and leaned her stool a little closer to me. "You wanna know why I got all these tattoos?" She asked. I just tilted my head. She took a breathe deeply and put her hair aside. A small, neatly fonted tattoo saying 'hope' was written on the side of her neck."This was my first tattoo. I got it when I was about 18-19 maybe? I was having a hard time back then and suffered a lot. At that age, all I had was hope so I guess I had it permanently written right here to remember those hardships I'd experienced"she placed her hair back as before and lifted up her wrist to show the next tattoo 'love'. "Now, when I turned 21 I fell in love. Falling in love is difficult, but you will always remind yourself that its worth it. If I hadnt, then my fiancé and I wouldn't be engaged"s
