Chapter 9

 

Jessica’s POV

 

I watch her car disappear in front of me. I don’t want Sarang to call her auntie, I want Soo to be Sarang’s appa but Soo is right. Sarang’s real appa is back and nothing gonna be the same anymore.

 

I went back to the penthouse, the moment I enter I heard

 

‘ OUIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN.................APPAAAAAAAAA..........APPA.......... ’

 

I saw oppa holding the crying Sarang trying to calm her down but Sarang pushes his chest.

 

‘ What happen? ’

 

‘ APPA..............OUIIINNNN.............APPA...............UMMA I WANT APPA…. ’

 

‘ I don’t know. Sarang is asking for appa so I hold her in my arms then she starts crying ’ Siwon said

 

Sarang is looking for Soo not you stupid...........

 

‘ Sarang come to umma ’ I take her from oppa

 

‘ A....Appa......... ’ Sarang said while sobbing

 

I pat her back

 

‘ Oppa, I’ll take Sarang to her room. You have work right ’

 

‘ Yes, can we have dinner tonight? I’ll cook ’ he said

 

‘ Sure. Drive safely ’

 

When I was about to walk away

 

‘ Sica ’

 

‘ Yes ’

 

‘ Did you change the keycode? ’

 

‘ Yes. The new keycode is 63956 ’

 

‘ Ok, then I’ll see you guys later ’

 

He kisses my cheek and when he wanna kisses Sarang, she turns away.

 

‘ See you later oppa ’

 

After he left, I put Sarang on the couch but she keeps asking for her appa.

 

‘ You already miss her huh....well I miss her too ’

 

‘ Appa....appa....appa.......I want appa….. ’

 

‘ You will see her very soon ’

 

Then Sarang’s nanny come to the living room.

 

‘ Sarang is looking for miss Choi ’

 

‘ Yes ’

 

The poor little Sarang is still sobbing, auntie holds Sarang in her arms

 

‘ Good girl Sarang. You wanna see appa right? ’

 

‘ Y-y-yes ’

 

Auntie takes her into the kitchen. After a while, I heard

 

‘ Appa.....appa....appa...........When are you coming home?. ’ Sarang said happily

 

I went into the kitchen then saw auntie phone in front of Sarang. From far, I can see Soo talking with Sarang

 

‘ Sarang, don’t cry. Appa will take you out tomorrow ok ’

 

‘ Really? ’

 

‘ Yes baby, but promise appa that you stop crying and listening to umma ’

 

Sarang nods then kisses the phone. Soo kisses her phone before they hang up.

 

The next day

 

Sooyoung’s POV

 

I went into Sica’s penthouse and I saw Sarang playing on the floor with auntie.

 

‘ Sarang ’

 

She looks up ‘ Appa......... ’

 

She runs toward me. I kneel down and hug her. She clings on me without letting me go. I holds her in my arms while auntie comes toward me

 

‘ Auntie,  I’ll take Sarang out and we’ll be back around 15PM ’

 

‘ Sure ’

 

I know Sica won’t be back before 16PM, that’s why I’ll bring Sarang back for she comes back. I’m not ready to see her yet, if I want to move on then the best thing to do is distance.

 

I drive Sarang to the shopping mall. I hold Sarang’s hand while she walks cutely around pointing at everything she saw. Then she suddenly stop when she saw a tinkle bell I kneel down

 

‘ Appa.... ’

 

‘ Let’s go inside ’

 

The moment, Sarang step inside the store she runs around excitedly.

 

‘ Baby, don’t run so fast ’ I walk behind then she turns the corner. The moment I turn the corner, I saw her on the floor

 

‘ I’m so sorry ’ a girl kneel down to take Sarang up.

 

I quicky kneel down ‘ Sarang, did you get hurt? ’

 

‘ Appa........ ’ Sarang quickly hugs me

 

‘ I’m so sorry. I didn’t see her ’ the girl bows

 

‘ Is ok ’ I smile then I look at Sarang who she is laying on my chest

 

‘ See, I ask you not to run around. Say sorry to unnie ’

 

‘ I’m sorry ’ Sarang said the wraps her arms around my neck

 

‘ I’m sorry that Sarang bumps into you ’

 

‘ No I should look when I walk ’ she smiles

 

‘ Appa, Mickey Mouse ’

 

Me and the girl look at the direction where Sarang is pointing. I walk to the cashier

 

‘ I want this Mickey Mouse please ’

 

When I’m about to pay I saw a card next in front of me. I look beside

 

‘ No, you don’t have to... ’

 

‘ I just wanna apologize to Sarang. Your name is Sarang right? ’ the girl pats Sarang’s head

 

Sarang nods. The girl takes the bag and gives it to Sarang. Sarang happily takes it.

 

‘ Have you forget to say something ’

 

‘ Thank you unnie ’

 

‘ You’re welcome ’

 

We walk out the store

 

‘ I need to go ’ the girl said

 

‘ Thank you for the Mickey Mouse ’ I said

 

‘ No problem. Bye Sarang ’ She smiles then walks away

 

‘ Wait...... ’

 

She turns back

 

‘ You didn’t tell me your name ’ I said

 

She smiles ‘ I’m Nicole ’

 

‘ Thanks again Nicole, I’m Sooyoung ’

 

‘ Bye Sooyoung ’

 

‘ Bye Nicole ’

 

YoonYul’s POV

 

Yul is playing ball with Mason in the living room while Yoong is preparing lunch, and then she heard a phone ringing. She saw Yoong’s phone on the table so she takes it then saw the id Lee Joon.

 

Who the heck is Lee Joon???????

 

‘ Yul, is it my phone ’ Yoong asks from the kitchen

 

‘ Yes ’ Yul gives the phone to Yoong.

 

Yoong answers. Yul walks away but hide behind the wall to listen to the conversation. Yul saw Yoong smiling while talking the phone, Yul feels jealous and clenched her fist. After Yoong hangs up, Yul quickly walks back into the living room playing with Mason like nothing happen.

 

‘ Who is it? ’ Yul asks casually with a hint of jealousy

 

‘ A colleague ’

 

‘ A colleague who called during week-end ’

 

Yoong smiles ‘ What are you jealous? ’

 

‘ W-w-w-why should I? I just missed my Jiyeon ’

 

Yoong smiles disappears when she heard Yul’s words ‘ Of course you are not jealous. I was just teasing you. Mason come to umma ’ then she walks away

 

‘ Where are you going with Mason? ’

 

‘ I’m going to the park with Mason, so you can call Jiyeon since is night at the States ’

 

‘ Wait.....I’m coming with you ’

 

‘ No need, breakfast is ready you can eat it. I’ll eat with Mason outside ’

 

‘ Umma, mommy is not coming with us? ’

 

‘ No, she needs to call someone ’ Yoong said then closes the door behind.

 

Yoona’s POV

 

I’m sitting on the bench looking at Mason playing with the ball.

 

‘ Mason don’t go too far ’

 

‘ Yes umma ’

 

Mason continues playing with his ball.

 

Why I’m so stupid? Of course, she is not jealous,  I’m just her bestfriend.....

 

When I look up I saw Mason’s ball hit someone. I run toward Mason

 

‘ I’m sorry ’

 

‘ No problem ’ He smiles

 

The man kneels downs ‘ Is it yours? ’

 

‘ Yes ’

 

He smiles and gives the ball to Mason.

 

‘ Thank you ’ Mason bows

 

He pats Mason’s head then he stands up ‘ I’m L ’

 

‘ I’m Yoona, I’m so sorry ’ I said again

 

‘ Is ok, your son? ’

 

‘ Yes ’

 

‘ What’s your name? ’ L kneels down

 

‘ Mason ’

 

‘ Mason, do you want uncle to play with you? ’

 

‘ Yes ’

 

‘ Can I play with Mason? ’ L asks

 

‘ Sure ’ Then I feel Mason holding my hand

 

‘ Umma, play with me and uncle ’

 

‘ Ok ’

 

After 30 minutes of playing, Mason is sweating. I kneel down and wipes his sweat.

 

‘ Umma, I’m hungry ’ Mason said

 

‘ Let’s go eat together, my threat ’ L smiles

 

‘ L, you already play with Mason. I should be the one who threat you ’

 

‘ I love playing with Mason ’ He kneels downs

 

‘ Mason, what do you wanna eat? ’

 

‘ McDonald ’

 

L smiles then picks Mason into his arms

 

‘ Let’s go to eat McDonald ’

 

Yuri’s POV

 

Why Yoong suddenly mad at me????? I did nothing...........

 

I look at my wristwatch

 

Where are they? Is been an hour since they left home........

 

I decide to go to the park searching for them. When I arrive, there’s no one here. I walk around then I saw Yoong in the McDonald. I smile then I saw her talking to someone with a bright smile. I look at the person she is talking with then I saw a man and.....MY MASON is sitting on his laps.

 

Who is he? How dare he’s talking with MY YOONA and holding MY MASON.................Wait did I just said my Yoona??? Well, she is my bestfriend so of course she is mine...........and Mason is mine since he calls me mommy.........

 

I stomp well I mean I walk toward them, if we are not in public I will punch this guy....

 

‘ Ahem..... ’

 

Mason looks up ‘ Mommy ’

 

He quickly went back to his mommy’s.I holds Mason in her arms then looks at L. He smiles

 

‘ Hi, I’m L. ’

 

‘ I’m Yuri ’ I glare at him then look at Yoong

 

‘ Mommy, uncle played ball with me and umma at the park ’ Mason said

 

I just smile at Mason but inside I’m burning in jealousy.

 

‘ Yoona, I have to go. I’ll call you later ’

 

‘ Ok. Thank for the lunch ’ Yoong smiles

 

‘ No problem ’ then he turns ‘ Bye Mason ’

 

‘ Bye uncle L ’

 

‘ Bye Yuri ’

 

‘ Bye ’

 

YoonYul’s POV

 

After L left, Yul sits in front of Yoong.

 

‘ Did he just said that he will call you? ’

 

‘ Yes, so? ’

 

‘ So? Yah~~~~~how can you give your number to a stranger? ’

 

Is Yul jealous?

 

‘ I can give my number to whoever I want. L seem nice ’ Yoong continues to see if Yul is jealous or not

 

‘ I’m sure he have a crush on you ’

 

‘ He’s handsome ’

 

‘ Pfft…..handsome, I’m a lot better than him ’

 

‘ He’s cute ’

 

‘ He’s awful ’

 

‘ He’s hot ’

 

‘ Yah…….if you like him that much why you don’t ask him out ’ Yul burst in anger

 

‘ How do you know I was about to ask him out when he call ’

 

‘ You……… ’

 

Yoong smiles seeing Yul like this ‘ Maybe I should just text him and ask him for dinner tonight ’

 

Yoong takes her phone out and Yul takes it away.

 

‘ Give it back to me ’ Yoong wants to take her phone back but Yul stands up and walk out the McDonald with Mason

 

Yoong runs after Yul

‘ Yul, give me back my phone ’

 

Yul throws Yoong’s phone away

 

‘ Yah~~~~what are you doing? ’

 

‘ Ooopppssss……..your phone slide from my hand ’

 

‘ All my contacts are inside ’

 

‘ You mean L’s contact. Seem he can’t contact you anymore since you lost your phone ’ Yul smiles

 

‘ Just tell me that you are jealous ’

 

Yul stops

 

‘ I-I-I-I’m no jealous ’ Yul shutters

 

‘ Then stop acting like you are jealous ’ then Yoong stomps away

 

‘ Yoong….. ’

 

‘ Your umma is mad at mommy ’ Yul said to Mason

 

Back to the penthouse

 

‘ Mason, go play in your room for a while. Mommy have something to talk with umma ’

 

After Mason left, Yul nervously sits next to the angry Yoong.

 

‘ Yoong….. ’

 

Yoong looks away

 

‘ Please, look at me ’

 

‘ ……… ’

 

‘ I’m sorry ok ’

 

‘ Why you do this? ’

 

‘ ……… ’

 

‘ You know what I’m moving out with Mason ’

 

Yoong stands up and Yul quickly back hug her

 

‘ I’m jealous ok. I don’t like seeing you smiling at him. I don’t like when he hold Mason ’ Yul finally admit it

 

Yoong smiles hearing Yul’s confession then she turns to face her

 

‘ Why? ’

 

‘ Because………. ’

 

 ‘ Because what? ’

 

‘ Because………………….I………………….. ’
