The next day

 

YoonYul’s POV

 

While waiting for Mason and Yoong Yul fell asleep on the couch. When she open my eyes, is already morning. I look around

 

They didn’t come home last night.......

 

She heard the door opens and Yoong comes in.

 

‘ You are home, where were you last night? ’

 

‘ I was at oppa’s place ’ she looks at Yul

 

‘ Where’s Mason? ’

 

‘ Mason is with his appa in the car ’

 

‘ I’ll go take him back ’

 

Yul is about to walk pass Yoong, she holds her arms.

 

‘ Yul, let’s talk ’

 

‘ Let me take Mason home first then we’ll talk ok ’ Yul smiles

 

‘ Yul, I’m moving out with Mason ’

 

‘ What are you talking about? Here is your home, where do you wanna go? ’

 

‘ We are moving at oppa’s place ’

 

‘ What? Are you crazy, he is engaged ’

 

‘ No, he broke off the engagement. I decide to give him a chance ’

 

‘ You are not serious right? ’

 

‘ I’m very serious Yul, I come back to pack our stuff. Oppa is waiting for me ’

 

Yoong walks to her and Mason’s room then start packing.

 

‘ Yoong, is he forcing you ’

 

‘ No, Seunggi oppa didn’t force me in anything ’

 

After she finish packing, she wants to walk out the bedroom but Yul holds her wrist

 

‘ I love you Yoong. Don’t leave me please ’

 

Yoong slowly pushes Yul’s hand away and face her

 

‘ No, you don’t love me. You just have pity of me and Mason ’

 

‘ What are you talking about? I’m taking care of you and Mason because I love you both not because I have pity on you ’

 

‘ I heard your conversation with Jiyeon at your office ’

 

My conversation with Jiyeon at the office................

 

‘ You were there that night ’

 

‘ Yes, I heard it very clear about what you said ’

 

‘ No, you didn’t hear the whole conversation. I told her that you are the one I love and I broke up with her ’

 

‘ Yul, stop please. I don’t love you ’ Yoong lied

 

‘ Liar, if you don’t love me then why you kissed me back that night and the morning at Jeju why you kissed me if you don’t have feeling for me ’

 

‘ It was a mistake ’

 

‘ It was not a mistake. Yoong, we love each other. I want Mason to be my son and you my wife ’

 

‘ I don’t love you Yul. I just consider you as my bestfriend ’ Yoong lies

 

‘ Is not true ’

 

‘ Is true. I really need to go, oppa is waiting for me ’ Yoong left Yul behind.

 

Yoona’s POV

 

Inside the elevator, I wipe my tears.

 

You did right Yoong,....Yul don’t love you, she just said this because she have pity on you.

 

Oppa comes out from the car when he saw me coming out from the building.

 

‘ Oppa, I’ll take my car. Mason will stay with you ’

 

‘ Ok, I’ll see you at home ’ he kisses my forehead

 

SooSica’s POV

 

Soo went to Sica’s place to take Sarang out for their little date. When she parks her car, she saw Sica waiting for her at the entrance of the building.

 

‘ Hey Sica, what are you doing here at this time? ’

 

‘ I’m waiting for you, let’s talk ’

 

‘ Ok, let’s go to the coffee shop ’

 

At the coffee shop

 

‘ So, what do you wanna talk? ’

 

‘ ................. ’

 

‘ Is oppa bullied you? ’ Soo jokes

 

‘ Soo, I want you to keep your promise ’

 

‘ Huh? What promise? ’

 

‘ The promise that you won’t bother me and Sarang. I want you to stop seeing Sarang ’

 

‘ That’s funny ’ Soo chuckles

 

‘ I’m serious Soo, I don’t wanna see you near me or Sarang again ’

 

Soo smiles fades ‘ Why? ’

 

‘ I want to have a new beginning with oppa. Sarang always clinging on you, she even refuses to call oppa appa ’

 

‘ Why you suddenly act like this? Everything were fine yesterday but today you..... ’

 

‘ I want to give Sarang a happy family but with you around I can’t do this ’

 

‘ I didn’t ask you anything, I know you don’t have feeling for me. I just wanna see Sarang. Since oppa is back I tried very hard to make some distance between us because I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable ’

 

‘ Soo, please don’t make thing difficult for me ’

 

‘ I just want to know the reason ’

 

‘ ..................... ’

 

‘ Why you said I love you back to me that night? You know the meaning of I love you for me when I told you then why you said it back ’

 

‘ Our meaning was different, I love you as my friend not lover ’

 

‘ You know the moment that you said that you love me I was so happy. I thought after all those years, I can finally win your heart. We were acting like lover but the moment you let go of my hand when you saw oppa I know our meaning was different. That’s why I distance myself from you because is hurting me seeing you with oppa together. I love Sarang as my daughter not just because I love you. I love Sarang with all my heart but now you take the last thing I have. You are so cruel, you gave me hope then you take it back ’ Soo said

 

‘ I’m sorry ’ Sica said

 

‘ Is it really what you want ’

 

‘ ......................Yes, I want you to stop bothering us ’

 

‘ It this is what you really want then fine but can I have one last request ’

 

‘ What it is? ’

 

‘ Can I take Sarang out for the last time ’

 

Sica nods and Soo stands up

 

Before she walks away without looking at Sica.

 

Jessica’s POV

 

After Soo left, I feel my heart clenching. Seeing the way how she left, I know this time she won’t come back. I regret about asking her to stop bothering us, I still want her to be at our side but I know is too late to take it back.

 

Don’t be sad, just act like what you did few years ago. I’m sure that I can find my happiness back with oppa.....Who am I kidding, nothing can go back. Soo loves Sarang so much, maybe she’ll still come to see her even if I don’t let her. Yes, I’m sure she will....I should tell her that our feelings are mutual but I don’t have the courage to say it because I still have oppa here........

 

Sooyoung’s POV

 

I’m happy just seeing you time to time but now you take the last thing away from me. Why you are so cruel Sica?

 

I was near the entrance of the building

 

‘ Appa............ ’

 

I look up and saw Sarang running toward me. I force a smile and kneel down. I hug her tight, after today I can’t see you anymore.

 

‘ Appa, I can’t breath ’

 

I quickly let her go ‘ I’m sorry, appa just miss Sarang so much ’

 

Sarang pecks my cheek ‘ I miss appa a lot ’

 

I saw auntie walking toward us ‘ Sarang came out 15 minutes earlier because she said she want to see you as soon as possible ’

 

I pat her head ‘ Really? ’

 

Sarang nods

 

I look at auntie

 

‘ Auntie, can you come down and pick Sarang around 6PM ’

 

‘ Sure. Have a great day you two ’

 

After she left, I kneel down ‘ Sarang, how about we go eat something then we go to the amusement park and after we go back to appa’s place ’

 

Sarang nods excitedly. I call Nicole to cancel our date because right now I really don’t have the mood.

 

‘ Sarang, what do you wanna eat? ’

 

‘ Hmmmmm........... ’ she is thinking cutely

 

I chuckle ‘ How about japanese? ’

 

‘ Okieeee ’

 

‘ Let’s go ’ I take her hand and when we are about to enter my car

 

‘ Umma............. ’

 

SooSica’s POV

 

Soo looks up and saw Sica smiling at Sarang

 

‘ Umma, appa said we are going to eat japanese ’

 

‘ Really? ’ Sica smiles and looks at Soo but Soo quickly turns away

 

‘ Yes, umma come with us ’ Sarang said

 

‘ Sarang your umma is busy. Why don’t we go just us ’

 

‘ Umma are you busy? ’

 

‘ I’m not, let’s go together ’ Sica smiles

 

After Soo puts Sarang in the back seat, she looks at Sica

 

‘ If you don’t wanna come is ok. I’ll take Sarang back at 6PM ’ Soo said without emotion

 

‘ Is ok, let’s go ’

 

Soo opens the door for Sica. During the whole drive Soo stay silent. She didn’t even look at Sica once. Some Sica steal glance at Soo

 

At the restaurant, Soo sits next Sarang while Sica in front.

 

‘ What do you wanna eat Sarang? ’

 

‘ Udon ’

 

Soo smiles and waves at the waitress to take their order. When their food arrive

 

‘ Appa, I’m hungry ’ Sarang points at her tummy

 

Soo blows the bowl then feed Sarang. Sica can’t help but smile at the caring Soo. After lunch, Sarang didn’t let Sica go. She wants to spend the day with her appa and umma. Soo don’t have a choice but say yes.

 

At the amusement park, Soo walks in front of Sica with Sarang. They went to the children section of the amusement park. Soo waves at Sarang everytimes she passed in front of her. Sica saw Soo wiping her tears secretly everytime Sarang passed by her.

 

After a few hours

 

‘ Did you have fun? ’ Soo asks while wiping Sarang’s sweat.

 

‘ Yes, appa can we come back ’

 

Soo smiles fade ‘ Sarang, let’s go back to appa’s place ’

 

‘ Your place ’ Sica asks

 

‘ Yes, don’t worry it won’t be long. Auntie is waiting for us at 6PM ’

 

Back to Soo’s place

 

The moment Soo opens the door, Sarang runs into her room. SooSica follows and saw Sarang playing with her toys.

 

Soo walks away and comes back with a box. She starts packing Sarang’s clothes and toys.

 

‘ What are you doing? ’

 

‘ I’m packing Sarang’s stuff. I will throw it anyway so I pack it, if you don’t want it then just throw it ’ Soo said without looking at Sica

 

Sarang walks toward Soo

 

‘ Appa, what are you doing? ’

 

Soo smiles ‘ Appa is packing your clothes and toys so you can play it at home ’

 

‘ Then what am I going to play when I come ’

 

Soo just smiles and continues packing. After 15 minutes, she puts everything that belongs to Sarang in the box.

 

‘ I’ll drive you two home ’

 

During the trip, Sarang played with her plushy Mickey Mouse toy. In not long, they arrive in front of Sica’s place.

 

‘ You are in time ’

 

‘ Of course because I auntie is waiting for us ’ Soo smiles

 

She went into the back and gives the box to mrs. Park.

 

‘ What’s this? ’

 

‘ Sarang’s toys and clothes ’

 

‘ Auntie, you can go back first. I’ll go back with Sarang in a little while ’

 

Soo kneels down and hug Sarang one last time.

 

‘ Appa, when will you come to take me out? ’

 

Sica hopes that Soo will tell Sarang that she’ll take her out soon but instead

 

Soo just smiles and caress Sarang’s head ‘ Sarang you need to listen to your umma ok? ’

 

Sarang nods and asks again ‘ Appa, I wanna go to the amusement park again ’

 

‘ Go home Sarang-ah ’ Soo kisses Sarang’s cheek before standing up

 

She looks at Sica

 

‘ I won’t bother you and Sarang anymore ’ with this word, she went into her car and drive away without looking back

 

‘ Umma, when will appa come to take me out ’ Sarang asked

 

Sica wipes her tears and smiles at Sarang

 

‘ Your appa can’t take you out anymore because she is too busy. When she have time, she’ll take you out ’

 

Sarang nods

 

Sooyoung’s POV

 

How my life will be without you two around?

 

My phone rang

 

‘ Hello? ’

 

‘ Soo ’

 

‘ Nicole? ’

 

‘ What are you doing now? ’

 

‘ Nothing, I wanna go have a drink ’

 

‘ Oh…… ’

 

‘ Hmm…..do you wanna come? ’

 

‘ Are you sure? ’

 

‘ Yes, I pick you up at your place. Give me your address ’

 

After entering Nicole’s address in the GPS, I drive directly at her place. I saw her already outside waiting for me.

 

I went out ‘ Since when you are outside? ’

 

‘ Just 5 minutes ’ She smiles

 

I open the door for her

 

SooNic’s POV

 

Nicole looks at Soo

 

‘ Are you alright? ’

 

‘ Not really ’

 

‘ You can tell me anything ’

 

‘ Sarang’s mother don’t want me to see Sarang anymore. Today, is my last day with her ’

 

‘ Why? ’

 

‘ I don’t know. She is always like this. She do what she wants without considering other’s feeling ’

 

Nicole looks at Soo for a while

 

‘ You love her, am I right? ’

 

‘ Is it that obvious? ’

 

‘ Well, you let Sarang call you appa even she is not your daughter and seeing you right now ’

 

‘ I confessed to her a few years ago but she rejects me. I thought we’ll have a chance a few months ago but her boyfriend came back. Her boyfriend is my bestfriend too. So I distanced myself from her but I still happy because I still can see her time to time when I take Sarang out but not anymore. I have nothing now ’

 

‘ You still have me Sooyoung ’

 

Soo looks at Nicole and smile ‘ Thank you, I’m very glad to meet you Nicole. You are a really great friend ’

 

Soo and Nicole enter the bar. Soo saw Yul drinking alone in a corner.

 

‘ I saw a friend of mine over there. Do you mind if we join her? ’

 

‘ Of course not ’

 

They walk toward Yul.

 

‘ Yul, what are you doing here alone? ’
