Chapter 2
Hyung’s Promise“Jungkook-ah!”
Jin repeated, the veins in his neck were bulging. He went near the flock of sheep and scanned the area like an inspector from a crime scene.
The familiarity of the situation did not surprise him. The kid was always restless and he anticipated that he’d call the same name again later after finding Jungkook.
Jin narrowed his eyes upon searching.
“Where in the world coul- Jungkook?”
He was in the middle of the flock, on his knees, hiding or what looked like pretending to be a sheep.
“Hyung…”
His brows met upon seeing Jungkook all mucky. His face had a query look.
“So you’ve been here trying to be one. Look at you…”
Jin retorted like a mother. What else could Jungkook expect. He was “motherly” afterall.
“I was trying to hide so you can look for me. I thought you’d like it. I’m sorry hyung, I’ll get changed.”
Jungkook responded melancholy, his head hanging low.
But before he could go away, a pressure was put on his shoulder. He turned around, his head still hanging.
“Jungkook, look at me.”
He obeyed and saw calmness before him.
Jin knelt before him.
“I’m sorry.”
Being gentle with his words, he placed over his other hand on Jungkook’s other shoulder, clipping him.
“Look, I didn’t mean that, ok? And I am not mad at you for playing around, but hyung needs your help and if we help each other we can get things done right away. And that would mean more free time to play. I hope you understand. Do you?”
He calmly and sincerely explained looking straight into the younger’s already teary eyes. He reassured a smile.
