This is probably the first and last time im going to write an author's note cos im really bad at it xD Just wanna say thanks for the support and comments :D I'll try to keep my pace in updating or even faster if i can :)) Anyway, chapter 9 for everyone ^^

 

   “Taetae!” A little boy called out and came running towards her with his toothy grin “Let’s play!” he came up to her, startling her as he grabbed her hand. He suddenly let go, gathered snow on his hands and threw the snowball towards the little girl he was dragging earlier

 

“Ya! It’s cold Taetae!” the little girl complained as she wiped the snow off her face and stooped down, gathering snow while smirking evilly to the boy in front of her who realized what was about to happen and ran away, laughing

 

“Take that!” the girl threw a snowball which landed perfectly on the back of the fleeing boy’s head “Hahahaha—OOMPH” her laughter was cut short as a snowball landed straight on her face again “Ya! Come back here!”

 

They chased each other around, throwing snowballs to each other from time to time, the air filled with their laughter

 

“Hey, we’re both called ‘Taetae’. It’s confusing” the little boy said as they lied down on the snow covered ground, panting

 

“Yeah” the girl agreed, staring at the vast sky, then suddenly, a shadow started to cover her, something was falling from the sky

 

THUD

 

“Ow…” Taeyeon stirred on her bed, covering her face that was hit by a flying pillow with her palms before stretching

 

THUD

 

“Ugh” She groaned as a pillow hit her

 

“Get up, midget” she heard Sooyoung’s voice and footsteps shuffling towards her

 

“Ya!” Taeyeon yelled, glaring at Sooyoung as the latter smacked her

 

“I said get up already before hellfany—“

 

“KIM TAEYEON!” A loud voice called out from the door

 

“Oh great. You’re on your own Taengoo” Sooyoung quickly evacuated the area, leaving Taeyeon alone on her bed with a fuming Tiffany by the door

 

“How many times do I need to wake you up, Kim Taeyeon?!” Tiffany hollered as she marched towards Taeyeon’s bed, yanking the pillow Taeyeon was hugging away from her grip and hit Taeyeon’s body with the pillow

 

“Wake”

 

A hit

 

“the”

 

Another hit

 

“hell”

 

And another one

 

 “up”

 

And another one

 

“Ow ow ow ow!” Taeyeon squirmed and thrashed around her bed “Okay Fany! I got it! I got it! I’m getting up! I’m getting up! Geez” she sat up with her arms in front of her in a protective stance

 

“You better” Tiffany dropped the pillow on her bed before she spun on her feet and walked out of the room

 

Taeyeon sighed and leaned on the headrest as she ran her fingers through her hair. Turning to her side, she reached for a certain photo frame on her nightstand and stared at the photo of a little boy wearing his toothy grin making his eyes disappear into crescents with his arm around a little girl who was grinning wide, her chin dimples prominent

 

“Taetae” Taeyeon mumbled, remembering about her dream “Why did you appear in my dreams again?”

Taeyeon was walking on the corridors, on her way to the canteen to have lunch with the girls. She noticed students shooting her weird looks then whispering amongst themselves

 

Taeyeon shrugged it off and walked peacefully until a pair of hands suddenly covered her eyes

 

“What the heck” Taeyeon said, seeing nothing but darkness

 

“Guess who” A voice behind her says and Taeyeon didn’t even have to open her eyes in order to recognize the owner of the voice

 

“Stop this rubbish and remove your hands will ‘ya” Taeyeon tried to pry the hands off her but to no avail

 

“Nuh-uh. Guess who I am first”

 

“I know you” Taeyeon tried to roll her eyes despite being closed “But I won’t mutter a single syllable of your name”

 

“Then I guess we’ll be stuck right here, like this forever” The voice said

 

“Are you crazy?” Taeyeon’s volume was starting to increase, gathering attention from the students around them “First of all, there’s no such thing as forever. Second, we’re in the middle of the corridor for heaven’s sake!”

 

“I know!”

 

“Then let go of me and leave me alone!”

 

“Nope”

 

“Ya! Ya! Ya!” Taeyeon yelled and thrashed around

 

“Will you please shut up” the voice whispered in her ear

 

“What do you want?!”

 

“Um… er…” The voice said, unable to find the right word “uh… blood—no, no. Um… Period…? Skirt…? Blood…?”

 

If not for the hands covering Taeyeon’s eyes, her eyes would’ve popped out of their sockets by now

 

“What” Taeyeon mumbled in disbelief, not knowing what to say “If that’s the case… you should’ve told me earlier rather than looking like a fool here in the middle of the corridor”

 

“Sorry. So? What’s your plan?”

 

Taeyeon froze; she actually doesn’t know what to do

 

“Um… First of all” Taeyeon started “Let go of me”

 

“Okay” and he did

 

Taeyeon took a deep breath and squinted her eyes as she adjusted her eyes with the bright surroundings

 

“So? What now? I’ll just stand here behind you or what?”

 

“No! Wait! Stay there!” Taeyeon panicked, grabbing his hands behind her without looking back “Don’t even try to step away”

 

“Psh. She was itching for me to leave earlier then right now I’m not even allowed to take a step away?” he mumbled loud enough for Taeyeon to hear

 

“Whatever Baekhyun. Just shut up and let me think of a plan”

 

“Hurry up! We totally look like a fool right now”

 

“Such an impatient brat” Taeyeon mumbled “How about you then? Do you have a plan?”

 

“Other than leaving you alone here, yes I do have one”

 

“What is it?”

 

Taeyeon felt arms snaking around her waist and a head nuzzling on the crook of her neck as Baekhyun closed the gap between them, giving Taeyeon a back hug

 

“W-what the—“ Taeyeon stuttered, taken aback by his actions “Are you kidding me?”

 

“Shh” Baekhyun shushed and she almost shivered because of the hot breath blowing on her neck “We look more normal like this than just standing here like an idiot. Plus, I can cover the stain in a normal way while you can think of a plan”

 

“Psh. Brilliant thinking Byun Baekhyun” Taeyeon scoffed

 

“Shut up and think”

 

Taeyeon thought hard. Rummaging her brain with all the possible ideas to get rid of leech Baekhyun and get rid of her racing heart as well. “Think Kim Taeyeon… think. Where did all your brilliance go?” she thought

 

TING

 

“Aha!” Taeyeon suddenly exclaimed “I’ve got an idea!”

 

“Already?”

 

“Why?” Taeyeon smirked “Does it feel comfortable there Mr. Byun?”

 

“Shut up” Baekhyun stood straight, letting go of Taeyeon, pushing her away “What’s the plan?”

 

“Hand me your blazer.” Taeyeon jogged in place

 

“What for? Don’t you have one?”

 

“Just give it to me! I left mine in the classroom”

 

“Tsk” Baekhyun took off his blazer and handed it to Taeyeon. Taeyeon then tied the blazer around her waist, successfully covering the stain

 

“Brilliant right?” Taeyeon turned to Baekhyun with a grin

 

“What about my blazer?!” Baekhyun protested

 

“Take a chill pill, bruh” Taeyeon pulled out her phone and handed it to Baekhyun “Here. Type your number”

 

After Baekhyun typed his number hesitantly, Taeyeon took the phone back and saved his number before dialling. Hearing Baekhyun’s phone ring, she ended the call

 

“That's me.” Taeyeon pocketed her phone “You have my number and I have yours. If I don’t return your blazer for over a week, call me. Okay?” she said and walked away

 

“Hey don’t forget to wash that!” Baekhyun called out
