“Hey! Give that back to me Siwon!” Sooyoung’s loud voice echoed through the 4 corners of their classroom as she chased the guy around

“Nuh-uh” Siwon teasingly answered and stuck his tongue out

Taeyeon rolled her eyes at the scene. Classic Sooyoung and Siwon—or what they call, Choi Duo—bickering again. Lucky for them, the teacher wasn’t around at the moment. They’ve been dubbed as Choi Duo because they’re definitely partners in crime but both can’t stay still without bickering with each other. They keep on fighting over useless stuff and right now, the main course is Sooyoung’s ball pen which Siwon managed to snatch away.

Leaving the Choi Duo alone, Taeyeon’s eyes scanned their room and chuckled at the sight of Sunny playing games on her phone, Tiffany chatting away with Jessica who doesn’t even seem like she’s listening, Yuri and Hyoyeon with their clubbing friends probably planning where to gimmick this weekend, Taeyeon’s brows furrowed at the sight of Yoona being surrounded by her suitors but decides to let the girl deal with it, and of course, first lady Seohyun reviewing their lessons. It was just one normal day just like she thought but then her eyes strayed towards the vacant seat beside her. Baekhyun was absent since the incident at the detention room happened yesterday.

Taeyeon snickered at the thought. “Is he really aually reproducing though?” she pondered as she fought the urge to laugh

The bell rang indicating that it was already lunch time. Taeyeon stood up and smoothened her skirt as she walks towards Sooyoung who is currently in the middle of a battle between life and death

“Let’s go, giant” Taeyeon said as she grabbed Sooyoung by the back of the collar and winked at Siwon as she dragged the tower towards the girls waiting outside the room

“But Taeng! He’s got my ball pen!” Sooyoung whined and began to thrash around. Kicking and punching here and there “I need to get that back! It’s worth 1 million dollars for heaven’s sake!” she exaggerated as she continue to resist Taeyeon’s grip

“Stay still will ya?” Taeyeon commanded and began to position Sooyoung in a headlock.

She caught Yoona’s eye and motioned them to go ahead, “I’ll take care of this” Taeyeon mouthed and Yoona nodded as she led the pack towards the cafeteria

“Besides,” Taeyeon returned her attention to the giant baby she has in headlock “our shikshin must be hungry now, isn’t she?”

Sooyoung immediately stood straight slipping out of Taeyeon’s headlock easily and looked at her with glimmering eyes as she clasped her hands together “Oooh! Yes! Yes she is!” she began advancing towards the short blonde girl making the latter move back “and little shorty eonni here will be treating her lunch right??” she asked with her aegyo voice that would make anyone who hears it think that she needs to go to the hospital to check-up on her mental health

“Ugh! Stop that Sooyoung” Taeyeon grimaced as she covered her ears

“Pwease? Pwetty pwetty pwea—“

“Alright! Fine! I got it!” Taeyeon snapped “Stop that aegyo thing!” she spat out the word ‘aegyo’ while making quotation marks gesture with her hands “It makes me want to puke rainbows” she muttered

“That means you’ll be treating me to lunch right?” The taller girl asked with eyes full of anticipation ignoring the last remark

“Yeah yeah whatever” Taeyeon agreed and waved the topic away dreading that she might hear the forced aegyo of her friend again

She did manage to convince Sooyoung to leave her “million dollar pen” alone but she mentally face palmed herself for using food as a distraction knowing that for shikshin, food always comes first. Always.

“Assa!” Sooyoung cheered as she made a silly punch in the air and dragged Taeyeon towards the cafeteria in full speed with a victorious smile

“Ugh! Sooyoung! You literally ended the life of my damn wallet for good!” Taeyeon mourned as she stabbed her food again and again

She knew this unfortunate event will happen the moment she agreed to treat the bottomless pit to lunch. She already expected it, but she didn’t expect that the mighty shikshin is extra hungry today and that also means a hundred fold of extra dishes

“Stop over-reacting Taeng” Sooyoung replied as she devours her steak “Besides, your wallet is a non-living thing you dimwit”

Taeyeon groaned and stabbed her food harder knowing that she will never win this. It’s either Sooyoung is good at arguing or she is specially trained to defend her food and appetite. There is nothing in between

“Stop that eonni. You’re spilling your food”

Taeyeon immediately stopped and started eating her food as she smiled apologetically to Seohyun. That was it. The Seohyun had spoken. No one dares to neither question nor disobey the great Seo. No one.

They were busily eating, chatting, laughing from time to time and all that when a prince-like guy decides to grace—in Taeyeon’s case, disgrace­­—their lunch with his presence

“Hey Tiff” He greeted “Hey girls” The girls just shrugged him off and looked at Taeyeon with anticipation as the latter looked at the guy and automatically furrowed her brows in disapproval

Taeyeon had always acted this way towards the girls’ suitors and those who blatantly flirt with them. She’s quite the protective eonni type, scaring away all those young hormonal teenage boys trying to hit on her girls. Especially towards Seohyun and Yoona because they’re their babies though Yoona did asked her to tone it out since she insisted that she’s all grown up and whatnot but Taeyeon still keeps an eye. She always does. Also, towards Tiffany because of her ‘crush’ on the girl making her more protective towards the redhead.

“It’s that guy again” Taeyeon silently hissed at no one in particular and sent death glares towards the guy who didn’t really notice

The girls always find these situations interesting and exciting. They find jealous and protective Taeyeon cute and besides that, they always silently bet with each other about when the kid will explode.

“Hey Nichkhun” Tiffany answered too cheerfully for Taeyeon’s liking

Nichkhun is this guy who miraculously managed to stick around for long. Normally, the suitors won’t even last a day without Taeyeon scaring them away but this guy seems different. He didn’t seem to mind Taeyeon’s death glares making the short girl hate him more

“That camera brand is really a pain in the ” she muttered under her breath as she made fun of Nichkhun’s name because of how similar it sounds with a camera brand.

“What’s up?” Tiffany asked not really oblivious of Taeyeon’s actions as she fought the urge to snort

“Oh nothing… Just… Passing by…” Nichkhun answered shyly rubbing his nape “And um… I’m just wondering… If you’re… Um… Free tomorrow night…” he stuttered “You know… Dinner… and stuff…”

“Why don’t you go and shave your bushy eyebrows for all I care” Taeyeon muttered through gritted teeth making fun of Nichkhun’s brows that is too bushy for Taeyeon’s liking

“Oh, that sounds great!” Tiffany beamed making Taeyeon’s jaw fall wide open

“Oh no… Shaving his brows sounds great but going out with him? Not.Great.”  Taeyeon muttered as she looked at Tiffany with large eyes of disbelief

“Really?” Nichkhun grinned “Cool! I’ll pick you up at 7?”

“Sounds great” Tiffany agreed with an eyesmile that could melt hearts

“See you then” Nichkhun winked and walked away

Once Nichkhun was out of earshot, the girls except Taeyeon exploded with laughter

“Hahaha! Did you see her face?” Hyoyeon laughed

“Yeah! Totally priceless!” Yoona answered as she laughed with her signature wide mouth which resembles an aligator “I told you she won’t cut his head off today”

“Close your mouth eonni. It’s not pleasant to see your tonsils” Seohyun scolded without even looking at Yoona because she too is grinning widely at Taeyeon

Taeyeon looked at her friends laughing their heads off and shooting glances at her from time to time “What?” she asked. Completely dumbfounded “What is it?”

“Damn it Taeng!” It was Sunny this time “If looks could kill, Nichkhun’s probably burned to ashes right now” she managed to say before exploding into fits of laughter

“Wow Taengoo! What were you muttering under your breath?” Jessica chuckled

“It totally sounded like black magic” Yuri laughed out loud

“Hey midget, when did you learn voodoo?” Sooyoung asked and started imitating Taeyeon a while ago. Glaring at nobody in particular and started whispering incoherent words under her breath and they all laughed together

“Huh?” Their slow little friend asked “What are you guys talking about?” she tilted her head and looked at them with a puzzled expression

“Stop acting dumb Tae” Yuri grinned

“I’m not acting dumb” Taeyeon frowned

“Then you must really be dumb then” Sooyoung answered and high-fived with Yuri

“I’m not!” Taeyeon defended herself

The tall girl rolled her eyes and deadpanned “You.Are.”

“Hey!” Taeyeon protested “At least I’m not dumb enough to fight over a ball pen” she muttered loud enough for them to hear and pouted

“Aww how ironic,” Sooyoung smirked, knowing that she’ll win this again “You were doing exactly that yesterday”

“That’s right eonni” Yoona looked at her after wiping her eyes from tears she got for laughing too much “What happened?”

Taeyeon exhaled loudly through her nose and leaned back with crossed arms and brows furrowed pondering if she should tell them or not

“It even got you to detention” Seohyun seriously stated clearly not amused by what she did

“Well, it obviously did” Taeyeon finally answered “We just fought over who should pick it up—“

“We’re not asking about how you got detention, short lady” Jessica cut her off while sipping on her milkshake with her eyes boring holes on the short blonde girl’s face

Taeyeon looked at them as they leaned closer to her—some, leaning on the table—clearly interested at the topic

“We’re asking about,” Hyoyeon smirked “What happened during detention” she clearly emphasized the words ‘what’ and ‘during’

“What happened during detention?” Taeyeon repeated earning synchronized eager nods from the nosy girls. She sighed and shrugged “Nothing much. Detention as usual. We were erasing textbooks and all that” she tried her best to sound nonchalant in order to escape. She recalled what happened and fought the urge to laugh “Aual Reproduction” she giggled and blushed at the thought

“You’re blushing!” Tiffany exclaimed “There’s got to be something!”

Taeyeon sighed in defeat and looked at them who currently has a so?-what-is-it?-look painted all over their gorgeous faces

“I guess I need to tell them huh?” Taeyeon thought

“First of all, I’m not blushing because of that reason as in that reason because you know I obviously don’t swing that way” Taeyeon stated as-a-matter-of-factly making the girls groan impatiently

“Do you really want to know?” Taeyeon gave them a lopsided grin

They once again nodded in sync. They’re getting a bit too impatient for Taeyeon’s attempts to stall time. 8 pairs of eyes on her, ready to absorb gossip from the eldest.
