It was silent here at the library with no one else but the feminine looking librarian reading books and a lone figure who happened to be the librarian's close friend randomly looking at some science fiction books. The school was having a program for the seniors. Kyungsoo was supposed to be there since he was one of the seniors but he chose to stay here in the library avoiding two particular persons.

"No Krystal, please don't do this to me."

Kyungsoo flinched when he heard someone talked on the other side of the bookshelves where he was standing at. He was at the library looking for books to read while he was waiting for the program to finish. The voice was oddly familiar to him.

Kim Jongin, his childhood friend who forgot about his existence ever since he started dating Jung Soojung. He was your regular next door bad boy. He had a reputation in the school for being the only student who made even the school's principal afraid of his very existence.

Kyungsoo often scolded him when he got home and found Jongin sitting on his bed and his window was open. He was cutting classes again. If his parents were not one of the sponsors of the school, he was probably kicked out a long time ago.

Jung Soojung or Krystal as everyone else called her was the popular girl who everyone loves for her looks and personality. Not to mention that she is one of the top students of the school. The type of girl who you would think wouldn't go for someone like Kim Jongin.

She was Kyungsoo's best friend. He was the one who introduced the two to each other when they were still in their second year in high school and Jongin was a freshman. It was love at first sight as they called it.

Jongin would always bug Kyungsoo for Krystal's number. He was reluctant at first, saying things to himself like they didn't match because of the fact that Krystal was this and Jongin was that. But then he saw how Krystal would always look at his back when they met during lunch breaks at the cafeteria. It was as if she was expecting me to bring someone with me.

Then one day, Krystal confessed about how she was attracted to Jongin and that she wants to know more about him. He tried to tell her all about Jongin's bad habit but no, she didn't even budge. She was acting like a lovesick fool looking at the entrance of the cafeteria where Jongin was standing at and was looking at their direction, looking at Krystal to be exact.

Kyungsoo flinched and bit the insides of his cheeks to stop tears from spilling out of the corners of his eyes. They were cruelly in love with each other.

Since that day, the two became closer and Jongin started to change back to when he was a sweet little child. After a month of courting, Kyungsoo got surprised by the news that they got already together. He didn't even hear the news from their mouth.

Kyungsoo confronted them about it and asked if it was true. They nodded their heads before looking at each other sweetly. They were having their own little world full of butterflies and rainbows.

Little did they know they were crushing someone else's heart.

Kyungsoo was head over heels in love with Jongin for a very long time. He didn't know when he started feeling this way but the only thing he knows was that these feelings wouldn't leave him anytime soon. He would always be hurt every time he saw Krystal and Jongin walking together, eating together, and doing things together. What so ever.

Kyungsoo was thankful that he still had some other friends who will still be there for him whenever Kai and Krystal left him. Byun Baekhyun the mighty eyeliner king who's as sassy as any PMSing girls can be and Luhan the bubbly librarian who thought he was manly but doesn't do anything other than oozing his cute bubbly aura.

Then there was also Kim Joonmyeon, Kyungsoo's hardworking suitor. But as handsome and caring as he is, Kyungsoo just saw him as a good friend.

"You must understand that I need to do this. It's my dream, it's my life" came a woman's voice which belongs to none other than the it girl.

They're having an argument again Kyungsoo thought in his head. He didn't mean to eavesdrop but it's already there. He already heard they're conversation so why not hear till the end of it. He was betting they were arguing about that thing again.

Krystal wanted to go to states to fulfill her dreams as a famous star after graduation. She said that studying arts there would give her an advantage if she would be recognized by one of the agencies there.

Jongin disagreed with it but once Krystal put her mind up to something, no one could ever change her mind. Not even her parents, friends or boyfriend.

"So you're saying I am not important in your life? Is that what you're trying to say?" There was something in Jongin's voice. It was full of remorse and yet there was also anger. He felt angry because Krystal was being selfish.

"Jongin it's not what I mea--" She was cut off by the sound of a hand hitting wood. It was near where Kyungsoo placed his face to listen.

Kyungsoo's eyes widened and he moved away slightly from the shelf. His heart was beating fast from worrying. What was happening? Did Jongin punch the shelf? And where is Luhan? He should have heard all of the noise by now. Oh right he had on his earphones when reading something.

He can feel two auras now. One is anger and the other is a cold one.

"You know what Jongin? I'm done with this . I'm not talking with you about this thing and we're over" Krystal's tone was as cold as an ice. There were no emotions on the way she spat those words. Kyungsoo shivered at it, he didn't like where this was going.

Yes, Kyungsoo was in love with Jongin but he didn't want them to break up. They were both his friends so all he wanted was for them to be happy with each other. He wanted to interfere but he can't. It was their business not his.

There was silence. The only sound you can hear was the sound of Jongin's breathing trying to calm his self and the soft breeze of air from the air conditioner. A few seconds later a heeled footstep could be heard. Krystal was walking away when Jongin talked again.

"I-I'm sorry please don't go... please don't say that we're over I love you so much I can't lose you, please Krystal... I'll try to understand..." Jongin was desperate. Kyungsoo knew he was on the verge of crying. He took a peek on the holes between the books and saw how Jongin kneeled down and was desperately clutching Krystal's wrists.

Krystal was facing with her back on Jongin. "I'm sorry but my decision is final. Goodbye Jongin." Then she walked away.

Leaving Jongin alone, crying and feeling regret. Seeing Jongin like that, it broke Kyungsoo's heart more than when he found out he and Krystal were dating.

He slowly took a step towards where Jongin was kneeling. He badly needs comfort from someone. Kyungsoo could feel his eyes were burning. Once he was in front of Jongin he stopped. He was confused.

Jongin stopped trembling and looked up. Hope was present on his eyes.

"Krys-- Oh Kyungsoo..."

Kyungsoo felt a pang on his heart at the tone Jongin used saying his name. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hear you..."

He can't lie for too long. He was too guilty for what he had done earlier. He felt like he was committing a crime eavesdropping on his friends like that.

Jongin stood up and wiped the tears from his face. He forced a smile and reached to grab Kyungsoo's hand. "No it's okay... just forget about this day"
