For the next few minutes the air lay still but thickening with tension with the passing of every mili-second.

I was nervous and my newfound cool refused to armour me from the awkward situation. Instead I opened my mouth but my vocal chords made no audible sound. Instead I choked. I began to cough so hard that my tears began to stream down my cheeks.

Yunho rushed to my side to pat my back whilst worriedly yelling at Changmin.

"Changmin, do you have water?"

Apparently he did because Yunho yelled again.

"Then get it! Don't just stand there!"

It took only a few seconds of scruffing noises before a bottle of mineral water was under my chin, a cold hand held my chin gently and the water bottle was brought to my lips and again, gently poured into my mouth.

I looked up in surprise. Our eyes met, mine and Changmin's. For that moment, time seemed to stop as our eyes spoke a medley of complete honesty.

But it came to a halt a little too soon when Yunho decided to interrupt the moment.

"Are you okay Lee Chae-rin ssi?" he asked with real concern.

Both me and Changmin looked up at him with a little exasperation.

"Whaaat?" he pouted.

I chuckled at the childish grown man.

I looked back up at Changmin. He'd grown taller. We both smiled a little. I don't know if he felt it too but I felt like we'd gone back in time.

 FLASBACK

"Come on~" I whined growing impatient. "Order something!"

"I can't Chae, I don't have any money left. I just spent it all on the taxi," he pouted.

I felt warm and fuzzy watching him pout cutely. He must've noticed the effect he had on me.

"Whaaat?" he cried with a smile.

"Just get something! I'll pay!" I said.

"How can I let a girl pay for my ice-cream?" he whined.

"You can just buy me two next time!" I joked before pushing him over to the glass behind which the ice cream flavours were kept on display.

He looked at the flavours with a blank stare for a few minutes.

"Well?" I asked him. I didn't mind even if he took longer. I liked watching him concentrate so hard on something so trivial. It was just adorable seeing such a tall boy peering at ice-cream with such intensity.

"They don't have raspberry," he pouted again.

I laughed.

"Want chocolate?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"I don't like chocolate. I want raspberry," he pouted.

I punched him in the shoulder before we went to sit back with my friends.

There weren't enough chairs so he ended up standing. I gave my seat to one of my friends. I didn't want to be sitting while he was standing.

What my baby did, I did.

I took a of my ice-cream cone.

"Want some?" I smiled placing the ice-cream at his lips.

He blushed furiously.

"Not infront of your friends," he whispered in a n embarassed voice before adding in a sleazy tone. "Maybe if we were alone."

 END OF FLASHBACK

I regained my composure pulling myself away from the two men.

"I'm fine," I said pulling on my sunglasses. "Let's get moving. I've got a meeting."

I began walking to Yunho's car.

"Yeah, sure thing," said Yunho running ahead of me to get the car started.

I felt a cold hand on my arm. I froze.

That cold hand, his always cold fingers.. It was all too familiar.

Now, he was holding me back the way I'd wished so many times he would've held me.

That he would run after me, grab and tell me not to go.

"What?" I asked coldly without looking back.

He put the water bottle in my hand and wrapped my own fingers around it.

"Here," he said almost emotionlessly.

I couldn't tell what he was thinking. His voice didn't let through any foreign emotion. And although I could feel his eyes on my face, I wasn't looking at him and couldn't tell his expression.

I should've done something cool like thrown it away and stalked off.

But I just stood there as he walked away and into his car, as he drove away like it was nothing.

Like holding my hand was nothing...

Like evoking the most precious of my precious memories were nothing...

Like looking into my eyes were nothing...

There I was.

Lee Chae-rin, once again left behind.
