Jessica POV

*Phone rings*

♪Because I’m naughty, naughty~♬

♪Bwara Mr. Simple, Simple~ ♪

♬SJ Calling~♪

Ugh… Who’s calling me this so freakin’ early in the morning?!

“Yeoboseyo?”

“Jessi~! Are you still sleeping?”

“Yah! I want to sleep why did you call?”

“Jessi you forgot that we are going to the park today don’t you?”

Oh my I forgot…

“Mianhe Tiff I forgot wait I’ll be there in 15 minutes.”

“Yah! Hurry up or else you’ll treat us later!”

“Okay okay be there bye.”

I took a bath, dress up, and went downstairs to eat my breakfast as fast as I can. As I went to our dining table I saw someone playing with my pet cat, Skittles.

“Oh FINALLY you are awake I thought you’re not going with us to the park today.” He said

“Donghae-ssi what are you doing here?” I said

“I’m here to pick you up since Tiffany told me that you’re still sleeping.” He said

“You don’t have to do that.” I said coldly

Then I saw my Mom walking out of the kitchen.

“Baby Jessi you’re awake here eat your breakfast first, you too Donghae-ssi join us.” She said

I saw him laugh when my Mom called me by that name.

“Mom~ stop calling me like that in front of other people.” I said

“Okay Sooyeon. So Donghae-ssi how’s your practice with my daughter for the competition?”

“Actually it’s fun to be her partner, Mrs. Jung.” He said smiling at me

What is with this guy that my Mom even invited him to eat with us?

“That’s good both of you are getting along with each other. So how’s your family now?” My Mom asked

My Mom knows his family?

“They’re in San Francisco right now having a vacation.” He said

“Oh I see please send my regards to your family especially to your Mom, Catherine.” My Mom said

“I will tell them when they get back here in Korea Mrs. Jung.” He said

“Donghae just call me Aunt Julia.”

Oh My God now my Mom wants him to call her Auntie?!

“Okay Aunt Julia.” He said smiling at me

What the hell is he thinking right now?!

“Okay I’ll leave you two now, eat well.” My Mom said and left us on our table

I didn’t talk much since I don’t want to talk to him and I want to eat in peace. But suddenly the silence was broken.

“Are you mad at me?” He asked

“Nope.” I said

“Then why are you acting like this?”

“Like what?”

I keep on munching my food.

“This.” He said pointing at my face

“Why? What’s on my face?”

 I just answer his question innocently because I don’t want to have this conversation right now.

He looks pissed and I try to ignore it but he started to talk again, “Jessica if you don’t want me to be around you just tell it to my face and don’t act like this.”

“I’m done eating shall we go now?” I said like I did hear nothing.

He sighed then he said something again but I did not hear it.

We left our house and walk to the park.

At The Park

“Jessica Jung you are LATE! We’ve been waiting for both of you, Donghae what took you so long?” Tiffany asked

“We ate breakfast at her house that’s why we’re late.” Donghae explained

“Okay enough of this conversation let’s play now!” Said the one with a blonde hair

“Aish you’re so excited, okay let’s team up first.” Leeteuk Oppa said

“Team A Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, me, Hyoyeon, Seohyun, and Taeyeon.”

“Team B Donghae, Siwon, Sungmin, Jessica, Tiffany, and Sunny.”

“Team C Yesung, Shindong, Ryeowook, Yuri, Yoona, and Sooyoung.”

This. Can’t. Be. Happening.

“Wait, how did you come up with this kind of grouping?” I asked

“Well Jessica since you’re late we decided to team up earlier.” Leeteuk oppa said

I did not ask anymore since I know that Tiffany and the girls planned this.

It’s not that I hate Donghae I just don’t want to fall from any of his tricks or whatsoever game he is doing right now to me. He shows things that a normal person would never do to you to make you feel special. I’ve seen this in dramas and movies it’s too dumb to fall for that you know.

Reality check, Jessica it’s not always happy ending.

“Okay first game Badminton Doubles!” Leeteuk oppa said

“Jessi and Hae oppa you’re up!” Tiffany said

“Wai- What?!” I yelled

“Jessi are you deaf I said you and Hae oppa will play in Doubles round.” She said

“Ugh why are you doing this Tiff you know that I don’t want to be with him!” I whispered to her

Tiffany and I went to the other side so no one will hear our conversation, “Jessi relax It’s just a game, don’t tell me you are avoiding him to suppress whatever feelings you are having for him right now?”

“No I AM NOT. I just can’t stand to be with him I had enough during our practice.” I groaned

“Okay I’ll just treat you later, now go play with him NICELY.” She said as if I’m a kid that will appease my temper by giving me some happy treats.

“Ugh Seriously Tiff I AM NOT A BABY!” I yelled at her

“Yes you are. Baby Jessi” She just smiled at me

Out of nowhere someone called my name.

“JESSICA! YAH ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY OR WHAT?!” Sooyoung said

“FINE. I’M COMING!” I stomped while walking inside the court

During the game we are leading by five but suddenly the fate of our game change.

“Jessica to your left!” He shouted

By an unfortunate event, I missed it.

“You don’t need to yell at me I saw that it was going to that direction!” I told him

“It’s not what it looks like!” He retorted

“YES IT IS.” I am totally pissed right now

“NO it-“ He was cut off by the referee

“YAH ARE WE GOING TO PLAY OR YOU TWO WILL JUST FIGHT THERE?”

We stop fighting but deep inside I want to rip his head right then and there. This is too much he’s totally nuts why did he yelled at me like that?

Since then it became worse, we are behind by eight points and it’s already the match point for this round. I am sure we’re going to lose this round.

“Okay I got this!” He said but he missed it

“Yeah right you got it.” I mumbled then I walk out of the court

I went to the nearest food stand to buy some refreshments then I felt someone grab my wrist and pull me inside the car.

“YAH! Where are you bringing me?! HELP HELP SOMEO-”

It’s Donghae.

“Be quiet! I’m not going to kidnap you!” He said

AHHHHH!!!

I bit his hand, “Then why did you grab me and pulled me here to your car!”

“I just want to talk to you that’s all! That hurts you know!” He’s holding his hand where I bit him

“You should’ve said it in a nice way! Not by grabbing and pulling me here in the car like you’re going to kidnap me or something!” I said

“The point is you keep on avoiding me! So I resort on this!” He yelled at me again

“Can we stop yelling at each other?” I told him

“You are the one who started yelling.” He said

“Look who’s talki-“ He covered my mouth

“See, this is what I’m talking about if you not ignore me you yell at me.” He added

I calm down then he said, “Okay I’ll release you now just don’t start yelling at me again.”

I nodded.

“Okay so what are we going to talk about?” I asked

“Jessica, tell me the truth, why are you acting like this towards me?”

I kept silent for a moment thinking of what to answer but my mind cannot process everything.

He looks at me straight in the eyes, “Jessica?”

“I… Hateitwhenyoukeeponteasingmewhenwe’restudyingduringourpracticeIhateitwhenyoukeeponpokingmycheekspattingmyheadgivingmemyfavoritechocolatessendingmetextseverydayandnightthosesweetthoughtsandwhenyoulookatmeintheeyesthatyouaredoingrightnow.”

I manage to breathe in again

“I HATE EVERYTHING OF IT BECAUSE I AM AFRAID THAT I AM STARTING TO FALL FOR YOU!”

WHAT DID I JUST SAID. I invisibly faced palmed myself

Donghae POV

What is wrong with her?

She’s been like that to me these past few weeks.

Did I do something wrong to her?

These are the questions that I ask myself. I suddenly thought of a plan to make her talk to me. Since she doesn’t want to talk to me in a nice way let’s do this in a harsh way.

Well not too harsh just a little force or something, whatever I must look for her right now.

I look for her at the park but I cannot find her anywhere.

“Hey bro have you seen Jessica?” I asked Siwon who is busy looking after Tiffany like she’s a fragile glass

“Uh no, wait ask the others maybe they saw- Tiffany watch out!” He stood up when he saw Tiffany nearly fall but she managed not to. Actually he’s just too paranoid.

“Seriously Bro you got to stop being paranoid!” Then I left the court

Where could you be Jessica Jung.

I saw a food stand near so I decided to buy something to drink. As I walk closely to the stand I saw the one that I am looking for.

Finally I found you

I grab her wrist and pulled her into the car nearby. I don’t know who owns this car.

Wait why is this open anyway? Then she started to yell at me.

“YAH! Where are you bringing me?! HELP HELP SOMEO-”

“Be quiet! I’m not going to kidnap you!” I put my hand to

“AHHHHH!!!” That hurts

“See, this is what I’m talking about if you not ignore me you yell at me.” I added

She’s calm now, “Okay I’ll release you now just don’t start yelling at me again.”

She nodded.

“Okay so what are we going to talk about?” She asked

Finally she will talk to me in a nice way

“Jessica, tell me the truth, why are you acting like this towards me?” I asked

She kept silent for a moment and I cannot stand this so I look at her in the eyes.

“Jessica?”

Then she started to babbler incoherent words.

The only sentence that I understood is…

“I HATE EVERYTHING OF IT BECAUSE I AM AFRAID THAT I AM STARTING TO FALL FOR YOU!”

DID SHE JUST SAID THAT…

“Finally you’ve fallen for me.” I smiled

I cannot contain my happiness right now.

I touch her cheeks and went closer until there is no gap on our faces.

I whispered, “I Love You Jessica Jung.” Then I kissed her on the lips
