Donghae found Siwon sat in their home room staring out of the window.

“We need to talk.” Siwon was startled by his voice, but once he’d realised who it was he immediately rushed to his side with an apologetic look on his face.

“About earlier, I’m so sorry Donghae. I didn’t mean to hurt you, that’s the last thing I’d want, I was just so caught up in the…” Donghae stopped him by pressing his finger to the babbling boy’s lips. He was on a mission.

“I’m going to ask you some questions and you’re going to answer them honestly, understand?”

Siwon nodded dumbly. The tone the younger was using heavily implied that he was serious.

“I’ll start. Before I came here, you and Kibum had feelings for each other, am I correct?”

Siwon opened his mouth to argue but the look Donghae gave him told him that the brunette already knew the truth and that there was no point in lying. He sighed. “Correct.”

“Do you still have feelings for him?”

“Donghae…”

“Answer the question!”

“Yes.”

Hae sighed also. He had gotten the answers he needed, but he was confused. His boyfriend had just admitted to loving someone else, so why wasn’t he upset? He should be in physical pain from his heart tearing in two, but instead he felt…relief? Yeah, relief was correct. He no longer felt like he was the odd one out regarding a town secret everybody knew but him.

“We should end it.”

Siwon stared at him, opened mouthed. “What?” he whispered.

Hae gave him a small smile. “I can’t stand in the way of you two’s relationship. If I hadn’t turned up I’m sure you guys would be together right now, so let’s end it.”

Siwon gripped Donghae in a tight hug. “You’re too good Donghae. Honestly you’re too good. God bless you.”

Donghae grinned, but the handsome boy was holding him so tightly he was struggling to breathe. “Siwon, please let go.” He managed to choke out.  

“Oh, I’m sorry.” He let go but kept his hands on Donghae’s shoulders. Holding him at arm’s length, he beamed at him. Donghae was truly a gift to the world. “I don’t know how to repay you.”

“Repay me by calling Kibum and asking him out.” Donghae smiled one final time before leaving.
