Taehyung had no idea where they were going. He looked out the window trying to figure out the destination but he had never been to this area before. He saw trees blur past the car windows as houses left his eyesight. He looked at Jin, who seemed to be worried about something. Taehyung assumed that he was the one who made the atmosphere like it is now.

        Taehyung couldn't help being upset. Suddenly, he remembered Jin said that he wanted to end what he had with his crush. His crush was Taehyung. He wanted to end things with Taehyung so it doesn't hurt that much. V began to feel even worse than before, he felt bad for slightly agreeing with what Jin said. If Jin would have stopped texting him, then Hyung would stop talking to him. If that happened he wouldn't be here with an ache in his chest.

        Taehyung felt tears coming when he noticed what he was thinking about, he was being cruel, if Jin had cut off things with him at that time then he wouldn't have had experienced their kiss, he wouldn't have had experienced his strong embrace, most importantly he wouldn't experience the best thing that ever happened to him.

        Silent tears streamed down his cheeks against his will. He quickly turned to the window, holding his breath so the hiccups wouldn't be noticeable. Jin probably knew already but he still didn't want him to see his tears. Wiping them slowly with his fingers he wished that there was a napkin near him. He was being pathetic he took a deep breath when the car finally stopped. Taehyung calmed down to a small sniffle. Jin appeared on the other side of the car door. He didn't even hear Jin get out.

        Smiling down at him softly Jin opened the door to let Taehyung step out. V choked out a laugh through his sniffing, "Such a gentleman" with red dusted cheeks he attempted to smile up at Jin. He kept telling himself that Jin needed to got back to Korea, Jin needed to go back to Korea, Jin is leaving me to go to Korea. His thoughts began to go downhill and his smile faltered for a moment. 

        "Only for you" Jin took Taehyung into his arms and hugged him tightly, noticing the small frown that flashed across the younger's face. "Let it out" He encouraged when V was struggling to hold in tears. He felt Taehyung grip the sides of his polka-dot shirt and stop breathing for a moment before letting out a shaky breath while resting his forehead on Jin's shoulder. He heard the soft sobs coming from the younger boy and hugged him tighter. Tears were soaking his shirt but he was sure that Taehyung's shirt was equally soaked. He closed his eyes and took in the feeling of Taehyung in his arms. He felt the uneven breaths of the younger through his hands on his back and the rising chest on his. The orange hair tickled his neck while hiccups and more sobs filled his ears.

        Taehyung's head hurt from thinking about Jin leaving, his heart hurt from thinking about Jin leaving, his hands hurt from gripping Jin's shirt because Jin was leaving, his shaky legs hurt because he had to stand while hugging Jin, who was leaving. His whole body hurt because the older male was leaving. He didn't notice his shoulder getting slightly wet, he didn't hear the soft sniffing from the other, he didn't notice Jin's uneven breathing. He focused on the strong hold around him, the sweet smell filling his nostrils every time he would breathe in shakily, the strong shoulder against his forehead, he focused on Jin, not the fact that he was leaving.

        It must have been at least 5 minutes of standing there hugging each other. Taehyung's arms moved around Jin. They had stopped crying after 2 minutes. Now all that could be heard was the slight intake of breath by both boys.

        "Now," Jin pushed Taehyung slightly to look at his face "let's go" he moved away to take Taehyung's hand before skillfully opening the trunk of his car with one hand. Pulling out the wooden basket he locked his car before stepping through the trees, carefully watching his step.

        "That wasn't the final destination?" Tae asked curiously stumbling along the small stones and twigs. The shade of the trees felt nice against his back, especially in the summer heat. The small hummingbirds chirped at them, the squirrels scurried away from them, and the twigs broke in two underneath their weight.

        A few more meters later, Taehyung saw a bright opening of light, excitement ran through his veins when he saw that they were going to enter a meadow. "You're so romantic Jin," he thought out loud. Hearing Jin scoff lightly he chuckled. "Don't worry, I like it." Taehyung squeezed the guiding hand softly. He felt the soft hand squeeze back, causing his heart to beat a little faster with every step they took. "We're having a picnic?" Eyes drifted to the wooden basket in Jin's hands when the cover of trees ended and they were standing in a field of purple wildflowers around yellow ones and in the very center was an oak tree.

        Walking closer to the tree and noticing the dirt around the trunk Taehyung couldn't help but continue smiling as Jin pulled out a blanket to set on the floor, putting stones on the corners so it wouldn't move. Motioning Taehyung to sit across from him, he pulled out plastic containers containing two slices of bread separated by ham, cheese, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, and tomato. Handing one of the sandwich-filled containers to Taehyung, he pulled out another and set it in front of himself before pulling out two water bottles and closing the basket.

        "You said you weren't allergic to anything right?"

        Nodding Taehyung carefully pulled the plastic cover off the container, the smell of ham hit him instantly. Noticing how hungry he was, he secretly wished that Jin brought more food before taking a bite.

        Who knew you could fall in love with a sandwich? He moaned at the taste, his lips after swallowing he looked at Jin.

        "What did you put in this?" Taehyung asked eagerly before taking another bite.

        "Love~" Jin cooed before laughing when Taehyung began to choke at the cheesy line. "But really I didn't put anything special in it, just a normal sandwich." He shrugged and took a bite of his own watching Taehyung down some water to stop coughing.

        "I must make really bad sandwiches then..." He muttered under his breath before taking another bite, savoring the taste.

        "I'm sure your sandwiches are fine, you're probably just really hungry." Jin shooed off the compliments he was getting and took another bite.

        Being thankful for the shade provided by the tree, allowing him to see the field without squinting much, he viewed the swaying yellow. He could see specks of purple in some places but not much unless he stood. He finished up his sandwich, feeling content with the small meal but he was still a little hungry.

        While he waited for Jin to finish eating his sandwich, he got to his feet, finally being able to see the purple, and he walked around the tree, eyeing the trunk, looking for a part of the tree that was peeling, he came up with an idea.

        Successfully finding a spot that was beginning to peal, he reached out to create a larger patch, only to be stopped by another hand and a voice spoke in his ear.

        "Don't touch the tree yet, it's dirty and there's still more food" Jin's voice rang through his head, making him space out a little. When Jin backed away after what felt like 5 minutes but was really 5 seconds, Taehyung smiled and headed back to the blanket, waiting for Jin to pull out more wonderful food.

        Jin pulled out sliced strawberries and chocolate dipping sauce, along with other fruits like bananas and grapes. "Jin I'm not a girl" Taehyung teased, causing Jin to blush slightly.

        "I know," Jin muttered, "but I like cute things..." He trailed off while pulling out two forks. "Thank god that the heat of summer kept the chocolate melted." Jin dipped a strawberry piece into the chocolate sauce and popped it into his mouth.

        Taehyung took a plain strawberry and ate it before taking another one and dipping it into the chocolate sauce to eat. He repeated the process with the other fruits as well. "Where did you get the chocolate sauce from?" He said while dunking a pineapple chunk into the chocolate.

        "Just the local market, I didn't bring a lot, I didn't know that you would eat that much." Jin watched as the younger took the chocolate dripping pineapple to his mouth successfully without any drops of chocolate on himself.

        "You have a little something" Jin leaned in before V had a chance to process anything and quickly pecked Taehyung's chocolate covered lips before backing away and his own lips.

        When Seokjin saw Taehyung's blushed face he covered his mouth with his fist and let out a small chuckle. "Cute," he said and reached out again to poke the red tint in the other's cheeks.

        After a few more chocolate covered fruits, they both agreed that they had enough food. Taehyung walked to the back of the tree again and spotted the patch. When he reached out, there was no hand stopping him so he proceeded to chip at the trunk of the oak tree. When he deemed the patch large enough for him to carve he took out a small pocket knife after checking his surroundings carefully. Noticing that Jin was putting away the leftovers he told himself that he needed to be quick, he wanted to show Jin when it was finished. While he was carving, Jin moved to fix the blanket, he took the stones off the corners and covered the basket before whipping the blanket, clearing the small specks of dirt that were once on it.

        Taehyung finished just in time as Jin set the stones back on the corners of the blanket and the basket rested peacefully in the center. "Jin come here!" Taehyung closed his pocket knife securely before putting it away. When Jin walked up to him he put his back against his piece of art. "Okay, so you know how you said you like cute things? Which makes you into those cheesy date things?" Taehyung half asked, half teased.

        Jin rolled his eyes and nodded. "Why?" when Taehyung moved from his spot against the tree Jin saw the bark of the tree chipped into a heart shape and carved into the lighter part of the inside was a KS on the left side of another heart, and a KT on the right side. He traced his finger over the letters gently before smiling back at Taehyung.

        "So romantic~" He mocked what the other had said to him earlier, receiving a non-harmful glare. Knowing what was coming next, Jin took a step back and ran into the field of yellow wildflowers.

        "Kim Seokjin are you making fun of me?!" Taehyung chased Jin down, wondering how the older man could run so fast in tight jeans. Taehyung forgot about his fake anger when Jin suddenly tripped over an invisible rock from sprinting so fast. Laughing, he jogged over to his boyfriend who was currently trying to control his laughter to seem hurt. Taehyung loved the way Jin covered his mouth every time he laughed, he thought it was a really cute habit.

        "Are you okay Princess Jin?" smirking at the nickname he offered Jin a hand.

        "Princess?" Jin took the hand in his but only pulled Taehyung on top of him. "What makes me the princess?"

        Taehyung moved so his legs were on either side of Jin's ribs and he was lightly sitting on top of his stomach, most of his weight went to his arms that he propped himself up on. He grinned down at the princess and smiled "Because you're the one that's into all the cheesy romantic stuff" He leaned down and gave a small peck on Jin's lips, payback from earlier.

        "But usually, it's the man in the relationship that does all of those things for his girlfriend. I did all of this for you so technically, you're the princess here." Jin poked Taehyung's left rib, causing the younger to collapse to the side. Jin covered his mouth and chuckled at the overreaction, he didn't poke him that hard. Taehyung poked him back in return, officially starting a tickle war.

        5 minutes later, we have two idiots laughing on the floor, flinching whenever the other moves, paranoid that they are going to be poked in the ribs.

        "Truce" Jin held out his hand when he sat up. Taking it and pulling himself up as well, Taehyung nodded in agreement.

        "Truce." Taehyung looked up at the sky and noticed that the sun was beginning to set. He stood with Jin and they walked back to the tree hand-in-hand. Taehyung wanted to help so he ran to the tree to get there first and began to take the stones off the blanket.

        "What are you doing? We aren't leaving yet." Jin asked shocked causing V to freeze and slowly set the stones back in embarrassment.

        "Oh, we aren't? The sun is setting, though. Don't you have to get back..." remembering what was happening the next day V choked out a quiet 'home' before sitting down again, looking defeated.

        "I'll sleep on the plane. I'm going to stay with you as long as I can." Jin sat behind his boyfriend and brought him closer to his chest, resting his chin on top of the other's head. V nodded with his eyes closed, trying to get rid of the fact that Jin was leaving in less than 12 hours.

        When he opened his eyes again he noticed that the sun had left them and they were in the car already. He rubbed his already puffy eyes and looked around to find Jin with his eyes on the road.

        "W-When did we leave?" Taehyung looked out the window and saw shapes that looked like trees, he assumed that they didn't leave that long ago.

        "I just started the car, I didn't want to wake you so I just carried you here." Jin shrugged from the drivers seat. Taehyung heard the tone in his voice, the wavering voice of sadness. A lump formed in Taehyung's throat. Bad thoughts filled his mind. He wasted time with Jin. He slept when they should have been talking, laughing, and having an overall good time.

        "I-I'm sorry" Taehyung whispered. "I'm sorry for falling asleep, y-you could have woken me up, though." He thought of why Jin didn't wake him up. He saw Jin shake his head.

        "No, you need to sleep if you're tired." Jin uttered the lamest excuse. Taehyung noticed that it's been 10 minutes and there were still trees, the drive here wasn't that long.

        "Jin... we should have been home by now..." Taehyung wondered and he heard a small mutter of traffic coming from the older's lips. There were no cars, though. When he voiced his thoughts again Jin made the car stop. Afraid that he had done something wrong, Taehyung jumped and looked at the elder.

        "I don't want to leave you" Jin's voice broke and the moonlight reflected off the hot tears flowing down his cheeks. Taehyung took a quick look at Jin's profile before looking away. He couldn't tell Jin to stay, what were his parents going to think?

        "Jin... I don't want you to go either... but..." he took a deep breath, " you need to go... I-I'm hurting too... but... let's make a promise okay?" He looked back at Jin who had his full attention on him. "Let's promise that we will see each other again, this night will not be the last night we have together, promise me and I'll promise you" shaky hands met as fingers intertwined.

        "Promise" Jin stated before leaning over the middle and placing a small kiss on Taehyung's lips.  "We also have our phones... It's not like we won't ever talk to each other again." Jin started the car and drove faster. When they reached Taehyung's house they stayed in the car a good 10 minutes not saying anything to each other, neither one wanting to move.

        "Jin" a weak voice called. Seat belts were off, as well as the car, but doors remained locked. "I'm going to miss you."

        "I'll miss you too Tae."

        "Jin."

        "Hm."

        "I don't want to say goodbye" 

        "I don't either Tae"

        "Jin"

        "Yes, V?"

        "It's getting cold."

        "I know Tae."

        "Jin" Taehyung whimpered.

        "Yes?"

        "I love you" a whisper left trembling lips.

        A few moments later.

        "I love you too Tae" With that Taehyung couldn't handle it and he ran out of the car, collapsing on the grass. Holding himself.

        Jin got out of the car and walked over to embrace the crying Taehyung. They hugged for an hour, just sitting on the ground trying to calm their sobs. Gradually getting quieter, they both looked into each others eyes before their lips met.

        A sweet gentle kiss warmed both their hearts, leaning against each other their lips began moving on their own. Taehyung peeped his lips open for Jin to invade, a brief inspection is all Jin did before pulling away and landing small pecks on the younger's cheeks, forehead, and lips showering him in love before they had to part.

        "Jin I love you" is all Taehyung said with every small peck that met his body. When there was a quiet sob, not coming from either of them, they both turned to look at Taehyung's family standing in the doorway. They were all watching with sorrowful eyes. Understanding how both men felt.

        Becoming flustered, Taehyung stood and kissed Jin one more time before walking up to his family. "H-how long were you standing there?" 

        "Not long..." His mother replied wiping away a single tear. "I'm sorry honey." She hugged him along with the rest of his family. Feeling surrounded by his family lifted a small part of his heart. He managed a genuine smile. He looked at Jin who hadn't said anything since his breakdown. Jin was standing in front of the driver's open door and Taehyung tried to keep the smile on his face as Jin got in and drove around in a U-turn so the drivers window was closest to the family.

        The window rolled down revealing Jin's beautiful face, lit by the moonlight. Tear tracks staining his cheeks he was smirking as he called out "Hey "

        Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle sadly at the name "Y-yeah Jin?" Feeling the roles reversing from when they were in the car.

        "Goodbye"
