Chapter 4 : Dark Blue

Blue

Kyungsoo couldn't sleep.

There was a scene repeating in his head over and over, haunting him.

A scene he wished he could have completely erased from his memory.

It was driving him crazy.

It was a sunny winter day. Jongin was still in hospital and he was slowly recovering from the accident, and Kyungsoo came everyday to visit him.

But this day, Jongin wasn't in his room.

At that time Kyungsoo didn't know the boy that much, and he didn't pay attention to the despair he saw behind his tired smiles.

He thought there must be something wrong, but he decided not to inform the nurses right away and he started to go look for him by himself.

Jongin was nowhere.

But there was still a place Kyungsoo didn't had gone to.

There was a quite big park incorporated to the hospital, and everytime the weather was nice Jongin and him would take a walk on the paths near to a pond, because they found the place really peaceful and beautiful.

It had snowed few days ago.

For some reasons, as Kyungsoo was making his way to the pond, he felt more and more uncomfortable.

He was scared.

Nobody never went to this part of the park so Kyungsoo was carefully following the only footprints he saw on the snow, guessing it was Jongin's ones.

It didn't leaded to the pond.

The footprints suddenly left the path to disappear between the trees.

There was a great tension in the air, something really frightening. Or maybe Kyungsoo was just imagining things.

But he followed the footprints anyway, because he had to find Jongin.

It was when he saw it.

Blood.

A dead-like, bloody body, lying on the ground.

Red stains all over the white snow.

Empty eyes staring at the space, and tears silently flowing.

Then Kyungsoo saw a knife. And Jongin's arms, scratched by cuts.

He felt on his knees, suddenly extremely weak. He never had seen so many blood of all his life.

He was trembling and crying and almost fainting, but in the meantime he knew he had to do something.

So he got closer to the boy.

"Jongin, Jongin, do you hear me?" asked he between two sobs in a shaking voice.

Jongin slowly blinked.

It was enough for Kyungsoo. He delicately made him sit against his chest, trying to not shake too much. Jongin was like a lifeless puppet.

It was a nightmare, had had thought him. A real one.

He didn't remember how he did it but he managed to carry Jongin back to the hospital though he felt like all his strength had left him.

Tears were flowing without interruption down his cheek when the nurses took Jongin away.

When they allowed him to go to see the boy again, the only thing he remembered was the way they had looked at each other without a word until a nurse told Kyungsoo he had to go.

This day linked them with a mixed of love and hate, a really painful feeling.

Kyungsoo slowly stoop up, dry throat.

He knew that Jongin got better, that it was years ago, but he had to see him. Just a look, to be sure.

He went through the quiet apartment without a sound and stopped before Jongin's bedroom. The door was opened, and he watched the boy lying on his bed, turning his back to him.

He didn't know why, but he started to cry. That was when Jongin turned over, half-asleep. Kyungsoo wiped his tears away. They looked at each other for a while.

"Can I come?" finally asked he.

Jongin tenderly smiled.

Kyungsoo slipped under the blanket and curled up against Jongin who passed a comforting arm around his waist.

He fell asleep soon after, to Jongin's warmness, to his chest peacefully rising and falling, to his calm heartbeats.

When he woke up Jongin was still asleep. He had moved during the night and was now laying on his back, and Kyungsoo sat up on an elbow to watch him.

The boy had regained some colors, noticed he, seeing his skin now suntanned like before.

Kyungsoo let out a small smile, before remembering that nightmare from the day before. It probably was because he was at Jongin's house that it came back to his memory this way.

He watched Jongin's right arm next to him and slowly slid a hand over it. The scars of that day were still there, cruelly obvious, from the wrist till the elbow.

Then Kyungsoo froze.

There also were new ones, more recent, forming perfect straight lines on his wrist.

Something was escaping him, and it frightened him. He was so afraid. So scared of the unknown.

Finally, Jongin opened his eyes. He turned his head towards Kyungsoo and, a couple of seconds after, genuinely smiled at him.

"Hi," said he in a sleepy voice.

Kyungsoo didn't take off his hand from his wrist. He didn't smiled back.

"Hello."

Jongin stared at him, before looking down at his wrist. He stayed still for a while.

"Oh. So you've seen it, huh," eventually commented he, not even trying to avoid it.

"Jongin," started Kyungsoo after taking a deep breath.

The boy was looking at him. Kyungsoo tightened his grip.

"I don't want to loose you."

Jongin smiled.

"Neither do I," softly answered he.

"I'm serious Jongin," insisted Kyungsoo, looking gravely at him. "Please don't do stupid things."

Jongin stared at him.

"And you, aren't you doing stupid things too?" calmly retorted he. "Like smoking?"

Kyungsoo, caught unaware, didn't know what to answer.

"And don't say that you don't care about yourself and stuff," added Jongin before smiling, "I can say the same."

Kyungsoo was hardly breathing. There was a part of Jongin he was afraid of, a part that he couldn't see, as if something prevented him to.

And he knew that Jongin was still so weak, that he still needed help so much.

They were looking at each other, Jongin with something hard in his eyes and Kyungsoo with despair.

He finally bended his head.

"Jongin please," whispered he, the voice shaking a bit. "I just want you to never leave me."

Jongin then sat in front of him and his hair.

"Hey, don't cry!" kindly laughed he.

"No, but... It's just..." stammed Kyungsoo, "It's just that I'm afraid..."

He immediately felt stupid to say things like that, because he didn't wanted to dramatize things more than what they already were.

"Who said I'll go?" asked Jongin. "I'll never leave you."

Kyungsoo forced himself to smile.

"Thank you," whispered he.

They eventually stood up because both of them had to get prepared for their day.

"Thank you for accepting me at your house," said Kyungsoo when they arrived at the bus stop.

Jongin was waiting with him because Kyungsoo didn't know his neighborhood that well.

"That's okay. It's nice that you stayed," answered the boy. "Let's do it again."

Kyungsoo smiled. The bus was coming.

"You'll come at the park this afternoon?" quickly asked he.

"Yes."

"Okay, see you."

The bus stopped, and Kyungsoo climbed on.

"See you, sweetheart," heard he while the bus moved off again.

He turned round in surprise. Jongin was grinning at him. Kyungsoo watched him eventually turn round to go he didn't even know where, and for some reason his heart hurt.

A/N: Hum, was it too short? >< I'm sorry. I hope you liked it though, personally, I really enjoyed to write this nightmare/memory of Kyungsoo, this is like, so dark, and I like this kind of things x) Um, am I weird.

Thank you for reading this! Please leave a comment to tell me how you've liked it!

Ugh, why do I have to make so many mistakes ㅠㅠ I noticed I forgot to apologize in the last A/N for the mistakes and all, so I do it for this chapter and the previous one. Please forgive me! Really, my writing style is so different from english to french, because I obviously have a lot more vocabulary to develop an idea in french... *sigh*

I'm writing another fanfic with EXO OT12 I started like two years ago. Well it's technically a fanfiction but it looks more like a big fantasy novel. I mean, the characters are the EXO members, but it doesn't have the characteristics of a fanfiction (I think). I put all my heart in the story, it's like, the work of my life (lol) and I'm seriously thinking of editing it (but maybe I'll have to change the names though) BUT IT'S IN FRENCH and this is already so long I don't know if I'll translate it one day ;__; ugh. I'll have to. I'm still not posting it anywhere but friends urge me to make a Tumblr to post it and make it known. So, I'll tell you when it'll be done. This story is inspired of the MAMA concept, with their powers, the Tree of Life and stuff. And I really developed the basic idea given in the MV into something huge, it's like, the founding elements of the story. But, if you can't read french... Ugh, I'll really have to translate it if I want it to be read. Fighting!

(Am I too talkative...?)

Once again, thank you guys for reading my fic! I'll update soon!

PS: Oh, and, if you didn't know, I've written a one-shot few months ago, Baekyeol, angst, short. It's The Last Day (the only other fanfic I've written for now) take a look if you have time~^^

See you!

Of course I remember! :) But there's a little problem now, well it's not really a problem, but you'll have to stop translating for a while because I modified a lot of things since I started to post it here and now I'm about to make the change here on Asianfanfics too! I'll say it when I'm done so you can see what changed and all... I'm sorry and thank you for your work and support ^^
