Amy nuzzled her face into my chest, her arms wrapping around me, almost possessively, like a child afraid her favorite toy would be taken away. As much as Amy had broke down my defenses, I some how still had a sliver of self-control not to her kiss her forehead or to her hair or to caress her soft skin. All I really could do was not to look at her, to stop my thoughts of her from consuming before the sleep deprivation took over my body. Maybe if I can’t see that beautiful face of hers, maybe the spell she has on me will be able to dissipate and I can find the strength to move on.

How is that the one you love the most is the one that tears you apart the most, without even realizing it even. Or is this really love? Or am I just trapped in a fatal yet familiar fondness that I can’t seem to bring myself to give up.
