After six/seven long, hard, but beautiful years on Running Man, our favourite rapper and gullible member has decided to leave to focus on his music.
We could have seen this coming, but we didn't. I remember when they were doing 2016 predictions, and Gary mentioned that he had a lot of things planned. If you follow him on Weibo and Instagram, you'd realize that he was practicing and expanding his business into the China market.
I love his music, I really do. When I was first new to Running Man, I searched up on LeeSsang for the very first time, and fell in love with his rapping. When he collaborated with Jung In, I was there to listen as it was first released. And so I support his decision whole heartedly, and I wish him the best of luck in the future.
I've seen people being supportive of his decision, and others angrily protesting. Why now? Why not end the show together? Why not continue music and the show? The answer is simple. They meet almost every Monday, sometimes extending into Tuesday, and sometimes ending late at night. They aren't growing younger, their bodies need to rest. How can he put in time and effort into everything he's planning to achieve if half the week is gone?
To give up the show he loves is difficult, but maybe he knows that it can be revived. Perhaps the change will spark interest, and he's willing to let go to do what he loves, as well as to make the show relevant again. You c
