Kai's POV

"Mrs Choi, I am so sorry for being late. I had classes after school. I can work overtime today," I explained while putting my apron on.

That is weird. My voice sounder deeper than usual. I tried to clear my throat. It sounds hoarse too. It might be because of the cold that I had for two weeks. Wait a minute. Isn't having a cold for two weeks a bit too long? I brushed the thought aside. I covered my mouth to muffle the sound of my cough.

"Aigoo, it's okay. Can you help me manage the customers for a while?" came Mrs Choi's cheerful voice, as she appeared in the kitchen doorway before disappearing again and clattering the lid of some pot or the other.

Occasionally, I cough.

"Yes miss, what would you like to order?" I gave the customer my award-winning smile.

All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I had my hands on my chest, grimacing a little but then smiled quickly to hide the pain.  I tried not to move too much. The pain was too much to bear. I put my hands to my head. I felt so dizzy. What is happening to me?

My face screwed up in pain and I crumpled to the floor. The entire restaurant gasped into silence, covering their mouths and watching in horror as I curled  up on the floor before quickly forcing myself up.
