Kai's POV

I felt her arms wrap around my body. I pulled her closer to me. It has been a long time since the two of us have had any physical contact. I do not think that we will do this ever again. This might be the last time that she will hug me back.

I wrapped my jacket around her body trying to keep Hana warm. We raced to our small apartment at the top of the building. For the first time after a long time, I heard her laugh. Hana tried to supress her laugh. My heart warmed at the sight of her. It was a precious moment.

"Aigoo! What are the two of you doing in the rain?! Both of you get in your house quick. I'll bring two bowls of soup over," our neighbour, Mrs Choi said.

We are lucky to have Mrs Choi as a neighbour. She treats us like her own children.

"Here is your soup. Remember to eat your medication,"Mrs Choi nagged at us after delivering the soup to our house.

We ate the soup in silence. I think Hana is afraid of me.

"Hey, I am not mad at you. Don't look so scared. I am curious about who your friends are but I won't ask you. You will tell me when you are ready," I ran my thumbs over her cheekbones.

"I am going to work. Do NOT go anywhere. Stay here. It isn't safe outside," I told her gently but with a firm tone in my voice.
