Not Just Any Replacement
Narrator’s POV
Changmin stopped walking and turned. Soomin shrugged at him.
“Yes…director.” The manager blinked at her.
“I need the full report by this afternoon.” She handed the folder back to him.
“Soomin-ah.” Changmin blinked. Soomin dismissed the other employees.
“I thought you needed my help.”
Changmin sighed in relief.
“I know I was a bit unreasonable, mian oppa. But I’m here now. I’ll take over while you settle whatever kind of sh.t is happening.”
Changmin hugged his sister tightly.
“I know, I missed you too.” She chuckled lightly.
“I’m sorry, Soo. I just…I was afraid you wouldn’t treat her~”
“No need to explain oppa, I understand. I shouldn’t hold on to my grudges.” She smiled back. Changmin smiled and patted her cheek.
“I’m glad to have you back.”
“This has a payment. I need a new pair of shoes, I left my loafers at Kris’ flat~”
“You lived alone with him?!”
“Oppa~”
“Shim Soomin, you and I are going to talk!”
Well, there they go again.
“What?!”
“Park Yoochun? Why would he?” Soomin blinked at her older cousin. Haejung uncrossed her arms and sat beside her husband.
Changmin’s brows furrowed.
“When the previous scandal exploded, Jaehee wasn’t the only one affected. Yoochun….from what I’ve heard, lost all his endorsements and almost lost his contracts.”
“Revenge?” Soomin asked.
Changmin’s lip thinned into a straight line.
“Does unnie know?”
“I think she does.” Changmin replied.
“He purposely did this so that he could bring down Jaehee with him.” Changmin spat.
“What made you come back Soo?” Changmin asked.
The two Shims were inside the car, Changmin was driving them home.
“I saw the news and……I knew you needed my help oppa.”
“Is…that all? Nothing else?”
“What? There was a huge sale at COEX?” She chuckled. Changmin looked a ther pointedly as he shifted gears.
“Did you meet Yunho hyung there?” He asked.
“I did.”
“What happened?”
“Nothing happened.” She replied meekly.
“Right, nothing happened.”
Jaehee’s POV
I heard someone enter the front door.
“Min~”
Soomin was standing beside him.
“Unnie, annyeong!”
“Soo~”
“I’m sory unnie, I was a little harsh, wasn’t I?” She asked as she gave me a hug.
“Soo~”
“I don’t want to talk about it, unnie. So how’s the issue doing?”
“Did you talk to your management already?” Changmin asked as he took off his coat.
“I did. Yoochun was the one who told a certain reporter.”
I heard Soomin sigh as she plopped on one of the chairs.
“Oh, right, did Yunho and you come home together?” I asked her.
Changmin chuckled and poked my waist.
I saw her cheeks redden for a moment, then she looked at me.
“Ani.”
