Your POV

I cleared the crumbs on the counter as I waited for fresh customers. The fangirl army were getting ready to leave and Kyu was clearing up the table. Then the kinka suddenly broke away from the crowd and was approaching the snacks and pastry counter to my far right. I looked around to see if anyone was there to attend to him. 

Few moments passed, but nobody was free to accept any orders he would make. So I made my way to see what he wanted.

"What would you like to order sir?"   

'I know the dude is not much older than me but right now he's a customer so.......... '  I sighed internally.

He looked up at those words and stared for a while.

'......................'

'okaaaaaaay............ Has he forgotten how to speak??' 

I asked again what he wanted. After about a moment he seemed to come back to reality and pointed at what he wanted and said, "Six."

"Do you want them in a box?" I asked.

He just nodded. I prepared the box with six of the cupcakes he ordered, made the bill.

He paid the amount and left silently with his fangirls who were all this while monitoring our interaction from a distance. Fuhhh, whatever.

The rest of the shift went by and it was time to go to the next job. Yes, I do 2 part time jobs everyday. Actually, two on weekdays, and three on weekends to pay for my tuition. I don't like to pressure mom with my burden.

After Dad passed away, I've agreed alongwith her that I'll become self reliant and will not let her do my share as well. I vowed to myself that I'll become strong and support my mother so she doesn't need to work so hard. I'll earn more than enough so she can live comfortably. I don't know when this day would come but that's my mission in life.

Kyu and I walked to the restaurant a few blocks away and got ready for the shift. This is how we became such good friends, we both work at the same jobs, he has the same dream as me, to become successful and give a comfortable life to his old man. Sometimes after shifts when we walk back home we talk about what our plans are. Atleast Kyu has a plan. He's a good singer, pretty good looking. He sometimes sings at clubs and stuff and hopes to audition for some talent hunt. Me on the other hand, don't know what to do with my life. All I know is to draw. I'm not an exceptional painter, neither do I know any animation stuff, what will I do?

After the shift was over, we went home. Kyu lives just a block away from my place. We said our goodnights and goodbyes and I opened the door and went inside.

After freshning up, I sat down with the unfinished projects and papers that I needed to look through. I also made dinner as I waited for mom to arrive. 

"I'm home!" she said. "Sorry I'm late sweety!"

"It's ok. I was studying as well and thank you for waking me up today or I would've been late!"

"Awwww! You don't need to say it dear! We watch out for each other right?" 

I smiled. "Right. Let's eat!"

After dinner I went back to my room and looked out the window. 

Sigh. 'When will I fulfill my promise to mom and dad?' 

More sighs.

As I was closing the window I happened to notice a really posh black car parked across the street. 

'Wow. What a car! Wonder what's it doing in a neighbourhood like this?' I looked around to see if any possible owners be spotted around. No luck. Not a soul around. I closed the window. 'Will I ever be able to buy such a car for us?'

I went to sleep wondering. 

After a while the black car silently moved away and out of sight.
