Your POV

"We've heard what you had to say. Please take your seat. We'll discuss and reveal the results in a short while." said the judge in the middle.

I nodded to show I understood and went back to my seat. I was too nervous to utter anything coherent. Now all I could do was wait and pray it all worked out.

I was clutching the edges of my seat and praying with all my heart. It has to work. I can't fail.

I looked to left and met eyes with Seohyun. She glared at me with such hatred that would have scared me some other time but right now I don’t feel like I care what she says. At this moment what the judges say matters most. The restaurant’s future depends on it. After what seemed like ages (although only was about 10 minutes) the judges called for our attention.

“We’ve discussed thoroughly and have decided upon the winners of this round. Please pay attention to the screen for the results.”

Now the projector screen we used for giving our presentations was now showing a video conferencing call that was received by somebody operating the system, I’m guessing the judges. A woman suddenly came into view.

"Congratulations again to all the participants who have made it till here and gave their best! But there can only be a few who'll progress to the next step and become a part of KN Group. The lucky ones are---

First place: Jimin-ssi,

Second place: Kyuhyun-ssi,

Third place: ___________-ssi,

Fourth place: Woojin-ssi

and Fifth and lastly Seoyoon-ssi. Congratulations to the five of you again. You'll be joining the company shortly for your training and will be monitored for further selections, but for now you may celebrate."

The screen was blank again. The call had ended. I was speechless. That face, I know it.

The lady at the sushi bar VIP lounge.

My head was spinning. So was this deliberately done? It seems like they really know everything about each participant. I didn't move for a while, just processing this information when somebody called my name.

"__________-ssi! "

I looked up to see Woojin in front of me.

"The interview round is over. Everyone's leaving, come on!"

"Yeah.....I...I'm coming."

"Oh...and congrats for clearing the round!" he said.

"You too."

"Plus you showed that Seoyoon her place. Good job!!" 

"The only thing she showed me is that she has no clue about how things work! She's too sentimental for her own good!" Seoyoon butted in.

'Talk of the devil......'

"In the business world your feelings won't help you for long! You aren't professional at all! I'm starting to think this was all pre planned." 

She looks at me with all the hate and suspicion she has.

"Do you know anyone on the inside _________-ssi? Someone who's helping you?"

"Talk about sour grapes Seoyoon....... Just accept you lost the round and move on." Woojin came to my defense.

She gave him a 'its-none-of-your-business' look and looked at me again.

"Since you speak so highly of this restaurant why don't you show us what the fuss is all about, huh? Let's celebrate there."

"Yeah, I want to try their food as well." said Jimin.

Others also voiced the same. So to the sushi bar it is.

AFTER AN HOUR 

AT THE SUSHI BAR

No one's POV

______________-ssi was lying on the floor shaking and coughing. Each breath was becoming difficult. All participants were hovering over her but no one was able to understand what was happening.

Suddenly a pair of arms lifted her and rushed out of the door.
