“Are you sure you don’t want me to drive you to school?” Kibum asked Jaeri for the 17th time that morning
“Yes appa I’m sure. Besides, I don’t want to be center of attention on the first day” Jaeri said putting a sock on
“And you should eat before you leave” Donghae told Jaeri before she could open up the door. Jaeri pouted “No way. Won’t work on me. You have to eat.”
“But daaaaaad! I’m 16 and I’m going to be late” Jaeri whined
“All the more reason why I should drive you to school” Kibum butted in
“Fine! Fine! I’m eating!”

“Hi! I’m Hwang Jaeri!” She said smiling as she greeted some girls at the cafeteria. They were from the same class but none of them seemed to be interested in making friends with her
“Hi girls” a senior greeted them and they went swooning over him
“Damn flirt” Jaeri cursed under her breath as she took a seat alone at the corner. “So much for being nice” The same senior winked at her but she glared at him.
For the rest of the day Jaeri did nothing but scowl at the classmates who ignored her during lunch time and are asking for her help at some subjects.
“How was school?” Donghae asked as soon as he saw her enter their apartment door
“Dad? Why are you here?” Jaeri blurted out, shocked that there was someone in their home right now. “you’re not supposed to be here till 6:3o” her hand was on her chest, she still hasn’t recovered from the shock
“Why? Already have boyfriend?” Her dad . Jaeri frowned “What? I was just joking. Now come on, we’re having ddukkbokki tonight”

“CRAP! I’M LATE!” Jaeri shot up practically flying out of her bed, she had an hour left to prepare for school, eat breakfast and walk there
“Appa! Appa! Can I ride with you?” She asked panicking
“I thought you didn’t want me to drive you” Kibum said as he drank coffee from his mug.
“That was a month ago and I’m late! I have barely 3o minutes before they close the gates” Kibum spit off the drink as he looked at his daughter
“Why didn’t you tell me? Come on then!”
“Thanks appa” Jaeri hugged her father and gave him a kiss on his cheek before leaving the car “you’re a life saver! I mean you’re a doctor so you are a life saver, okay never mind me. Take care!” she said waving. Kibum smiled at her and waved back
Some students looked at her like she’s some angel or something. The car wasn’t expensive but it appeared to be so elegant, costs less than it looks.
“Hi you’re Hwang Jaeri right?” Jaeri glanced up, shutting the book she was reading. A bunch of girls she didn’t know, were infront of her
“What do you want?” She had a feeling they were talking to her because of her dad
“Why didn’t you ever tell us you had a hot boyfriend” She smirked
“not to mention, he had a car” another one added. Jaeri rolled her eyes and pretended that they didn’t exist. She stood up from her seat and started walking away
“I’m not yet done talking to you!” she roared
“Too bad, I’m done talking with you” Jaeri snapped back.
For the whole day a lot of students were up to her. She had grown very irritated about this. “Hi Jaeri! I’m—“ before the guy could even tell her his name, Jaeri had already exploded
“WILL EVERYBODY STOP WALKING UP TO ME AND BEING PLASTICS?! THAT GUY’S MY FREAKING FATHER! SO STOP BOTHERING ME!” Every one present stared at her and one by one slowly backing off “Thank you” she whispered to herself as she walked home
“Heard you had a not-so-good-day today” Donghae said as he tucked Jaeri to bed “but I’m proud that you didn’t get into a fight like you normally would” She smiled
“Well, I did promise both of you”
“that’s my girl” Donghae said giving her a kiss on the forehead “now go to sleep”
