“What’s going on here?” she exhaled quickly, trying to adapt to the situation.

    Why can’t I breathe right now? Why is he here? There’s so many questions I have. This is going to be a pain to see him now. Am I hallucinating? The pain of heartache will hit me soon…

    Suddenly, Donghae grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the crowd, taking her eyes off of Jonghyun. They ran out of the club breathless, but Yoona was unfocused and confused. She shook her head trying to figure out what was going on. Donghae held her hand tightly trying to comfort her as she teared up.

    “Why is it like this all of a sudden?” She laid her head onto Donghae.

    “Let’s just go back to the hotel,”  he suggested as went to call a Taxi once again.

    Jonghyun watched as his girlfriend be dragged by someone he didn’t recognize, but he could tell his girlfriend trusted him a bit too much. He scoffed at the disbelief he encountered. Has his girlfriend moved on already? As the music grew louder and his thoughts began to clutter, he knew he had to chase after her. That’s why he come to Paris. He struggled his way out of the club. Every girl that tried to cling onto him, he pushed away trying to exit the club. 

    Once he got out of the club, he went searching for her. All he could do was run and scream her name and so he did just that. Some people would call him crazy for doing so, but he didn’t care. 

    At last, he spotted a silhouette that belonged to Yoona. She turned around slowly as if she could feel his presence behind her. Her eyes red from crying and shock of seeing her someone she dearly loved. She emitted hatred on Jonghyun, but she still loved him.

    “Yoona. Are you okay? ” Jonghyun walked toward her grabbing her wrist to make sure nothing happened to her.

    “I have no words to say to you.”, She replied coldly as she managed to pull her wrist from his grip. She turned around ignoring the fact that he was there as she waited for Donghae to call for a Taxi.

    “I miss you.”, He called out for her once more.

    What useless words.

    “I think about you. All the time,”

    Since when? Just now?

    “I love you.”

    Are you kidding me?

    “You think I didn’t? I missed you, but all I got was being cheated on. I loved you more than you loved me,” She said putting emphasis on love, “But you seem to confuse love with something else.”

    “It was a mistake. We need to talk,” he reached for her arm, but Donghae walked in front of his sight.

    “Haven’t you talked enough?” Donghae butted in, “She wants time to think and to get away from you, can’t you understand her?”

    “Who’s this? Your boyfriend?” He pointed at the guy as he looked for Yoona for a response.

    “Why does that matter?” Yoona’s energy was drained and she didn’t want to see Jonghyun at the moment. She walked to the taxi and Donghae followed suit after

    “It means a lot. It determines whether we can come back to the past,” Jonghyun replied as his arms fell to his sides.

    “We aren’t getting….back together,” She struggled to say, as she looked dead into his eyes.

    “Why not?”, He replied with a bit of anger in his voice. Jonghyun followed her with many questions to ask her.

    “What do you think?” she said putting up a cold front before entering the taxi. Jonghyun tried to walk closer to her, but Donghae put his hand on his chest.

    “Don’t,” Donghae shook his head and entered the taxi leaving Jonghyun wanting answers.

    “Yoona. I came back so I can take you back,” he sighed quietly watching the taxi leave until he couldn’t see it anymore.

    The taxi ride was silent and cold, but Yoona felt numb as her thoughts were filled in her head. Why Paris? Why did he have to come back and try to take me back? Donghae looked over at Yoona for a long time trying to figure out her emotions and how she was feeling. But she just looked lost and confused. Suddenly, she leaned over and set her head on his shoulder.

    “Donghae?”

    “Hm?” 

    “You know when pain gets to the point of being numb?”     

    “Perhaps.”

    “I’m in so much pain that tears won’t come out anymore. I can try to but they aren’t real tears if I succeed. It’s only a facade to cover up these worthless scars,” she sighed in frustration as the taxi cab drove through the city light nights.

    Arrived at their hotel, Donghae paid the man while Yoona walked in first. Donghae sped walk to catch up to his roommate who remained expressionless and emotionless. All her feelings seem to hit a wall, something she never experienced before. It was heart wrenching but what was the point of saying that it hurts over and over again? It was a big headache. They reached their hotel room, and Yoona opened it first, going to her room. Donghae stood by the doorway, watching her leave his side. It was heartbreaking for him too. He wanted her to be happy and less worried.

    Laying on the sofa after washing up, he couldn’t sleep. Donghae was worried about his roommate’s broken heart. As if he could rewind time, he could see that scarred look on her face. She was scared, terrified at the guy.
