Every second of watching him dance with her stung, only fueling the fire that burned inside of me. It was as if a volcano had erupted within me, wrath consumed my rationality and was engulfed by my soaring anger. One thing I could'nt bear to stand was being disrespected like this, never mind the humilation of the hundred of eyes on me. 

They looked upon me with pity and I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me whole. But there was no where to run to, no one to rescue me. I wasn't some weak, pathetic girl- I just wasn't.

The slap was as loud as a clap- it sounded like it must've really stung.

It had been an open-handed smack and it had left a red welt behind on his cheeks.

He'd even staggered back from a mix of the aftershock of her slap and the drunkness of drinking 2 bottles of strong alcohol. Everything was a blur and his eyes could'nt fixate on one position, he felt light-headed and as he moved backwards- he'd falled right into the swimming-pool.
