Chapter 1 (Tiffany): Another World Tour

"Should we plan to have another concert overseas soon?" our leader, Taeyeon, asked all of us.

Yes, we were here in our dorm's sitting area right now. Taeyeon gathered everyone here for this meeting. After all, she was our group's leader.

Anyways, where are my manners? My name is Stephanie Hwang, but people generally know me through my stage name 'Tiffany'. That's right, I am the Tiffany from the 9-member korean girl group, SNSD together with Taeyeon, Jessica, Sooyoung, Yuri, Yoona, Hyoyeon, Sunny and Seohyun. We've been together as a group since 2007.

I am also very proficient in both English and Korean.

As I was saying earlier, we were in the midst of our discussion over which country to go to next for our concert to perform our new hit song 'I Got A Boy'. We've been having similar concerts elsewhere, spanning from our hometown, Korea, to as far as the US, the country where Jessica and I were born in.

"We've not gone to Europe for a while? Why don't we go there?" Sunny suddenly spoke up jolting me out of my momentary daze.

"Why not China?" Yoona piped.

"Or another visit to America!" Sooyoung insisted.

Each member was suggesting different countries very eagerly. But me? I seemed to have a blank thought process at the moment. I could not think of the country we should perform at.

As it turned out, after thirty minutes of suggestions and discussions, we still came to nothing.

"Haiz," Hyoyeon muttered. "It's at times like this where we need another member~"

Well, I could not agree more with her. We regularly hit a few road blocks now and again during our career, such as lack of ideas for songs, choreography and social tips. If only there was another...

"Fany Unnie..." It was maknae Seohyun speaking to me.

"Yes Seohyun?" I responded back politely.

"Where should we go for our next performance then?" she asked quietly.

I shugged my shoulders in defeat. I mean, there were so many places, but why were none of them appealing to any one of us?

Eventually, each of us returned to our rooms. It was getting very late, plus we had a photoshoot to attend to the following day.

However, just before I left the sitting area, I heard a knock on our front door. It was weird, considering the late hour. So who would be up now?

Opening the door, I did not see anyone. But when I looked down at my feet, I saw a big-sized envelope on the welcome mat. Checking the recepient name, I saw my full name in capital letters written on the envelope.

What's in here? I thought.

Either way, picked up the envelope, locked the dorm door and returned to my room after getting a glass of water. I shared a room with Jessica, but she was already in dreamland so she did not notice my arrival. Just as well, I wanted to look at the envelope's contents.

After settling into my bed, I carefully opened the top of the envelope and noticed that there was a bracelet and a few sheets of paper, which was actually a 4-paged letter.

At this point, I had my bedside light on and I slowly began reading the letter's contents.

However, what followed from me was pure blankness, shock, speechlessness and a pained heart.

Yet, it was then I knew where SNSD should go to next.
