Chapter 4
The Chullie DiariesDay 3
Building Bridges
“You seriously want me to do this, Heechul?” Kangin asked as he glared at me. His face was tinged red. He reeeally wasn’t in favor of what I had just told him. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
“I have to explain it AGAIN? What you have to do is simply this: Ask him to go on an amusement park fun day with you. He’ll see it as just a fun trip with his best friend. He won’t realize that you’re treating him to a trip for friends. Nothing more. When he gets comfortable and having fun, steer him toward the haunted house. He will most likely cling to you and be very adorable. So, because that’ll happen, you will have the opportunity to hold him and he’ll then feel like you can protect him. Then, right after the haunted house ride, suggest going on the Ferris wheel.” I explain, trying, and failing, to say it all in one breath. Kangin stares at me.
“And?”
“You ask him out on the Ferris wheel!” I exclaimed, bopping him on the head with my fist. He yelped.
“Okay, okay! No need to hit me!” He turns and walks over to Leeteuk casually.
Kangin’s POV
I sighed and walked toward Leeteuk, who was standing in the kitchen, preparing breakfast with Hangeng. His hair was tied back into a tiny nub of a ponytail, the color back to its dark, chestnut brown. His almond shaped eyes were near crescents as he laughed at something Hangeng said. I couldn’t help but smile at how cute he was. I almost didn’t notice that he looked at me.
“Kangin! Morning!” He chided happily at me. I worked up a smile.
“Morning Teukie. Hey…Are you uh…busy today?” I asked. He paused and thought for a moment.
“I don’t think so, why?” He answered.
“Wanna go to the amusement park with me?” I asked simply, ignoring the hard pounding of my heart that took up in my chest. He smiled happily.
“Sure! I’d love to!” He hopped up and took off the apron that was tied around his waist. “Let me go get changed and I’ll meet you out front!” He grinned and ran out of the kitchen. I sighed happily and walked into my room to change myself.
About ten minutes later, I stood outside the dorm with my hands in my pockets, waiting for Leeteuk. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Heechul huddled behind a bush, a little pink book in his hands. I narrowed my eyes at him and cocked my head to the side in question. He smirked and held the book up with a pen in his other hand. I rolled my eyes, realizing what he was doing. Obviously I and Leeteuk wouldn’t be alone.
“Ready to go Kangie?!” Leeteuk exclaimed and hopped out the door of the dorm, wearing a long white coat and black gloves, with a matching black and white hat on. I smiled at him.
“Yeah, let’s go, Leeteuk.” I grinned back at him and started walking in the direction of the amusement park. I started talking with Leeteuk happily, blushing slightly as he kneaded his arm through mine. He had always been pretty touchy with me. I heard a rustle from behind us, most likely being Heechul moving from his hiding spot.
This was gonna be a loooooong day…
